History: The Ketsueki originated from the bowels of Water Country, having a close kinship with the Kaguya clan. Where the Kaguya clan excelled in their blood manipulation and were quite feared for it, The Ketsueki clan excelled in blood manipulation, and were feared even more so. Where as the Kaguya had a lust for the love of battle, The Ketsueki had a knack and lust for killing, torture, maiming, and sadism, quickly earning them an infamous name. Before Kiri was ever founded, the Ketsueki clan ravished the land with out law and threatened to exterminate several lesser clans, one of them being the Koori who were far less in number. They were also said to have been born from the same lineage and it was for that reason the members of both the Kaguya and Ketsueki clans often refer to each other as brother and still do today.

It was around the time, just before the villages began forming that an unsettling change occurred in the ranks of the Ketsueki. A man rose to the top in the clan who was not plagued by the resounding lust for blood in his mind. He saw his clans potential to do great deeds and services for the people of the world, if they could manage to gain control of their minds, finding that the members were exceptionally crafty, and did not act out in evil, simply put, they were governed by their carnal desires. He quickly learned that the older generations were lost for hope, but that the children were very susceptible to his teachings, and were quick to become civilized when given the correct guidance.

He inspired a rebellion amongst the young teens who, after seeing their parents and elders in a new light, sought the path of a righteous kill. With in a single night, the reformed Ketsueki rose up and destroyed their elders, completely recreating the clan, and halving their numbers. It was at this point they approached the Kaguya and Koori clans and the construction of the Village Hidden in the Mist began. They assssted the Koori in the Kaguya rebellion, and aided in keeping the peace. It was shortly there after the clan began to thin out amongst the shinobi world, no longer being limited to just the Mist village.

Description:

Distinct Blood Lust
All shinobi with in this clan have a very distinct bloodlust and urge to constantly battle and spill blood. This lust exists as a seperate psyche, sort of like a second concious, that whipsers directly into their mind, constantly reminding them of the need to spill and see the blood of the enemy. This does not make them "evil" in any way shape or form. Like all natural desires, it can be controlled given the right discipline and guidance and/or personal want to do so. To them battle is just like sex and spilling the blood of the enemy is the equivelent of an orgasm, though it is not quite as extreme an emotion. However, due to these arcane views and natures, they are often outcastted, especially when the shinobi is a child being that those are the most difficult years to control the desires by far due to the under developed mind set. If not given the correct guidance though, the person can go insane and become blood crazed and an overall danger to society as a whole. This can be brought on in shifts as well. Simply stated, this trait makes the ninja very unstable mentally to a certain degree.

Arcane Trade Off
This is actually a few different traits wrapped up into one interconnected base. To being the explanation of this trait, it has to be understood the extreme concentration it takes to manipulate ones blood such specific methods as shown in this clan. Even though it is a natural part of their living, it still takes a great deal of mental capability to perform their clans abilities. To be considered a shinobi worth anything, they are always trained early on specifically in the ways of the art of blood, as it is called. Given this, they will never in their entire life gain any sort of aptitude to an elemental chakra, barring them from the use of any elemental based jutsu. Given this they are typically very crafty and mentally aware. Given this they also gain an extremely good control over their chakra. So good in fact that they can utilize ninjutsu, genjutsu, and fuuinjutsu as though it was one rank lower. This meaning it takes half as much chakra to perform certain jutsu. This does not include their own clans jutsu which still cost as normal. They also do not have any increase what so ever in their chakra supply as well as being unable to have taijutsu or weaponry as a specialty. As a final note, the shinobi must have medical as a specialty (medical jutsu are unaffected by the enhanced mental capability and remain at the same scale).

(Special note: this does not give the person the ability to use any jutsu outside the specialties they have)

Kekkei Genkai:

The Art of Blood
As to be expected by the title, the shinobi with in this clan have the ability to manipulate their blood to their will and wishes much as a water ninja would use water. This however, is much more beneficial then water ever could be. Blood is a body essential, and as such, this gives the shinobi drastic advantages in battle. To begin with, they have the ability to replicate the amount of blood by duplicating the cells with in it, making it so that they can virtually not run out of blood. Additionally they can control the rate of blood clotting. This means they can make a wound clot over much faster then that of a normal person, and can even go so far as to reverse the process and turn clotted blood back into liquid blood. Finally they can control the direction and speed of blood flow. This means they can effectively control the spread of posions and toxins in their body, though does not make them immune, and also enhance the breathing process by carrying oxygen to the muscles faster so they do not get sore or tired as quickly.

The Dark Secret
In addition to the ability to manipulate blood, their blood itself has a very arcan quality to it. It has a bacteria in it that has the ability to raise or lower the ph of the blood, being able to change it form neutral to acidic with apparent ease. These bacteria work based solely on chakra, but do work naturally with in the body. These organisms release two different fluids, one basic, and one acidic. The bacteria release the acidic fluid naturally on their own. This trait makes the blood have a pH level of 2, equal to that of stomach acid. When the user wills it, based on a secret clan jutsu, they can force the bacteria to release the basic fluid, canceling the acidic fluid, and eventually turning it back to a neutral 7 pH. In order for the body to cope with such a corrosive fluid with in it, the blood vessels are covered with a slick paste which is resistant to that acidic blood so that it does not corrode the body from the inside out.

Slight Body Modifications
To accommodate with the extremeness of the acidic blood the ninja carries, they also have some slight modifications to their body. These come in the form of extra glands that most people do not have. The first is a gland that lies behind where the ears are on the head. This gland, when activated via a special clan jutsu, will release endorphins into the blood stream and by proxy, the muscles and nerves. These do nothing but kill pain. They do not, unlike most pharmaceutical pain killers, alter the brain or thinking patterns at all, and can in fact enhance them by eliminating the burden of pain to some extent. This was a body modification they adapted to and is exclusive to flesh wounds, aka the nerves in the skin and across blood vessels. This is because of their arcane way of self mutilation in battle to use their blood. The second gland is in their eye lid, an inch away from tear duct. This is a gland which can, with out the use of jutsu, squirt blood out of it up to five meters. However, if used to much the shinobi will have to sacrifice chakra to replenish his or her blood.

Name: Increased Clotting Technique

Description: When this jutsu is used it increases the rate at which the blood it is applied to clots, allowing for a faster healing of wounds etc and also for the use of a few other clan jutsu which requires the clotting of blood to use. As shown in the ranking of it, the amount of chakra needed depends greatly on the amount of blood being clotted. For scratches to small cuts reaching up to three inches in length it requires a mere E ranks worth of chakra, in other words, the clan member can do it with little to no trouble at all. For slightly bigger cuts, reaching up to 7 inches in length it will require a D ranks worth. Anything more then that will require a C ranks worth to clot.
Medical use/Bastardized use: The most obvious use of this jutsu is to stop bleeding/hold in the blood. It can also be used just to create crusted up blood for any random purpose the shinobi so desires to fit the situation at hand.


Name: Reverse Clotting Technique

Description: This is the reverse of the Enhanced Clotting Technique. Simply put it will take any clotted blood and reverse it back to its wet and liquid state. The same scale applys for this jutsu as it did for the Enhanced Clotting Technique.
Medical use/Bastardized use: This jutsu is used in any case where a shinobi needs to get to the blood stream and is blocked by a previously created clot. This can also be used to open up wounds upon the enemy in battle.

Name: Control of Blood Flow Technique

Description: Using this jutsu the user can control the speed at which and also the direction of which the blood will flow through out the body. This jutsu is used mainly to keep the blood from flowing out of the body from open wounds. When it does nothing but keeping the blood flowing on its normal path, this costs only an E rank worth of chakra. However, it can also be used to redirect blood flow completely and also increase or decrese the speed of it. In these cases, when used on the users body it costs a D rank per post, if used on another person, it costs a C rank per post. If the user uses this jutsu to stop blood flow completely. This is used primarily to control the effects of posions and keep from dying from blood loss etc..
Medical use/Bastardized use: Control poision, slow down/ speed up blood flow, alter direction of blood flow. Decrease pain in overworked muscles by providing oxygen. Reduce or increase bleeding.

Name: Blood Replication Technique

Description: This jutsu allows the user to create more blood from already existing blood. This can not be used if there is no blood around, though that being that the user has blood at all times to live....they are sure to not be in short supply of this requirement. The variation in rank only dicates how much chakra can produce how much blood. and E ranked amount produces as much blood as would fit in the average pop bottle (real life reference). At a D rank they can produce twice as much as at E rank. At C rank this produces the amount of blood that would fill a gallon jug of milk. At B rank this drastically increases to the amount of blood found in a 10 gallon barrel. A rank creates 20 gallons, and S rank would create an astonishing 50 gallons of blood.
Medical use/Bastardized use: To prevent blood loss or create puddles of blood for use of later jutsu.

Name: Endorphin Release

Description: Using this jutsu. the extra endorphin gland of the Ketsueki clan member will release its drugs into the body, flooding it with pain killers for the next five posts. This does nothing to cloud judgment, only numbing the pain, though the person can still feel temperature change and preassure on their skin.

Name: Hemo Neutralization

Description: When this technique is used, it will cause the bacteria in the clan members blood to begin releasing their base liquids to neutralize the acidic ones they produce naturally. This can be focused to only a certain area as well so it does not completely neutralize all the blood.
Medical use/Bastardized use: Turning the acidic blood into normal blood.

Description: This is a variation of the transformation technique. Using it the user can turn a select area or object into blood via hand contact. This can only be used to create up to a gallon of blood per use.


Name: Servants of Blood : Creature Style

Description: Using this jutsu, the clan member can create two smaller scorpions made out of blood. These scorpions will be of average size and be completely maroon due to the fact that the skin is created from congealed blood, and inside they are complete liquid blood. Their purpose is to deliver sneak attacks and inject the users acidic blood into the targets body via the stinger on their tail. The user can cause them to burst at any time if they want as well, sending blood flying in a single meter radius.

Description: Using this jutsu the clan member can create two clones made from their blood. The clones will look just like the user aside from the fact they will be completely colored maroon because the skin creating the clone is made from congealed blood. The inside is completely filled with the Ketsueki acidic blood. If they are hit they will burst sending acidic blood flying everywhere for 5 meters in each direction. They can also be used as a medium from which to cast blood jutsu as well. They can be made to burst at any time the user wishes.

When using this the user will make the needed hand signs and then slam both of their hands upon the ground. The surrounding area for 10m in each direction will turn into liquid blood. This blood is not acidic.

Name: Warning to the Pharoh, The Waters of Egypt

Description: This jutsu is relatively simple. All the user does in this jutsu is manipulate their KKG chakra and place both hands upon a body of water. Blood will begin to billow out from their hand and depending on the size of the source, it will turn completely into blood for use at the ninjas desire in further blood jutsu. This blood will be acidic.

Name: Deep Red Resounding Screams

Description: To use this jutsu requires a source of blood, typically fairly large. When using this technique, by using hand motions, the user can control the blood and manipulate it in waves and torrents. Using this technique does not require hand signs but it does drain a E rank amount of chakra for every post it is used in. (For a refference notice the way Gaara typically manipulates sand with out specific jutsu use).

Name: Small Bombardment, Attack From All Sides

Description: This jutsu creates 10 small 1 inch balls of coagulated blood. These can be manipulated to fly around in the air and strike the target from any angle. When a ball makes impact with anything it will instantly go back to its liquid form and splatter in a half a foot radius.

Description: This jutsu uses the glands below the eye of the Ketsueki ninja. When this jutsu is used, it will spurt a stream of acidic blood in a straight line for five meters.

Name: Forced Entry, Seal of Corrosion

Description: Using this jutsu the user must gain direct contact with the persons body. Clothes do not count, it must be skin to skin. When the seal is placed upon the body, it also siphons a good deal of blood out of the users system and places it into the seal. This seal will lay dormant for three posts. After these three posts, the seal can be activated with an additional C rank amount of chakra, flooding the targets body with a liter of blood. It is highly recommended that this also be used with the Blood Replication technique to replace the blood that is lost.

Name: Carrier Method, Quick Access to Death

Description: This justu is used on ones own body. This can be used with either acidic or normal blood. When the seal is placed it will seal a liter of blood into the body for later and quick access use. It is recommended this be done with the Blood Replication technique. When the seal is activated, it will fly off the body and onto the ground and glow bright red for a moment before creating a small puddle of blood.

Name: Vampire's Fang, Closer to the Dark

Description: This jutsu requires skin to skin contact to be placed upon the body of the target. When placed upon the target, the seal will begin draining blood from the targets circulatory system the following post. It will drain the blood at 5% total volume per victims post. The drain will occur at the end of their posts. To keep the seal active, the user must sacrifice a C rank amount of chakra per post, so that it will drain in the opponents next post. The effects go as follows.

4 Posts - Heart Beat starts picking up rapidly, pumping blood much faster. Difference in blood pressures starts to lessen. Vasoconstriction sets in and the skin starts to become paler.
5 Posts - The condition worsens slightly, the victim will begin to feel light headed.
6 Posts - The condition starts becoming serious. Blood Preassure drops and heart rate increases immensely. The victim can no longer think straight or move 1/2 as efficently, drasticly decreasing speed and stamina. Vision becomes slightly blured and tunnel vision sets in.
7 Posts - The victim will pass out.
9 Posts - The victim will die.

The problem with this, is that, enhanced chakra control wouldn't allow you to use techniques above your skill level, Jutsu are ranked depending on effects/chakra cost and skills needed to perform. Chakra control prevents you from gathering and in turn wasting excess chakra when performing a technique. Chakra control would prevent you from wasting your chakra, but wouldnt allow your to preform techniques which are beyond your capability, the only exception to this would be Chakra Scalpel and other such techniques which almost rely solely on chakra control.
