| The thunder clapped hard as the rain came pouring down within the contents of Amegakure. No sun dared to make itself visible around these parts, especially at this time of the season. The dark grey clouds of the village were the only thing that anyone could see from below the sky. It seemed rather depressing actually that it grew so dark practically everywhere in this place, but then again, when was Amegakure known to be anything but depressing and sad, maybe that was the main reason behind a mercenary group such as Akatsuki would even choose to be a habitat of such a depressing area.
Daisuke Hikaru yawned deeply as he stared out of the messy window of the old abandoned building as the rain just kept pouring down as if they were trying to smother the whole city. At the moment, the 28 year old shinobi was sitting in a rather comfortable position in his chair that was complete with a wooden desk right in front of him, where his right elbow was sitting so he could get a good view of the hardcover pocket sized book that he held within his right hand titled “Psychology at its Finest” in which he was about 129 pages into the 324 paged book.
During this very moment though, Daisuke couldn’t concentrate on reading his book properly enough though because he was simply too distracted by the weather today; it seemed to have gotten worse and worse every few hours or so, which didn’t really mark well with him due to the fact that he was thinking of actually going out for once in a while and checking over a bookstore for some recent knowledge of public or politic news, something to keep him updated on how the world was going and all that.
Then again though, Daisuke wasn’t actually sure if he should even be traveling so much due to the fact that there are shinobi among shinobi among samurai among other warriors that have been after his head in the past couple years or so and quite frankly, he’s been getting a little tired of all the challenges and attempted assassinations, but he has walked the streets of Amegakure before so he should be clean, making this entire village somewhat of a safe house for him, which actually caused him to feel a bit more comfortable and comfort wasn’t exactly in Daisuke’s strong suit.
After taking a few minutes to his thoughts on the subject, Daisuke concentrated more on the weather once again, the lightning mixed with water dropping down on the village sort of giving him an at home feeling from both his birth and main countries. Daisuke let out a deep sigh as he took his eyes from the window and turned the page of the book before continuing on the subject of “Emotions and why they are important”.

| As Yoshiko ran through the woods, her feet barely touching the ground as she moved with grace and the quickness of a wild forest animal, she pondered to herself if she would start soon to get fins and be able to breathe in water like a fish. Amegakure certainly stood under it's name, as the weather rarely changed from a light rain to a storm like there was now. Fortunately before she had gone out to train, she had taken with her a rather big coat that reached over her petite form and went down to the ground. The fabric shielded her body mostly against the cold and wetness, but it was now just a matter of time before the rain would manage to start pushing it's way through and make her clothes damp. The hood over her head managed to hover over her face so that the rain wouldn't get as much in her eye as she struggled to see just where she was in the forest. A roaring thunder echoed in the air, making Yoshiko stop and tilt her head upwards while allowing the rain that opportunity to slam against her skin and trickle down her neck to dampen the collar of her jacket which she wore underneath the coat.
I think.. I might have been running in the wrong direction. Narrowing her eye a bit, she started to make out her surroundings and came to the conclusion that she had indeed just moved further into the darker parts of the woods. Come to think of it... somehow this place here seems familiar. She started walking again, moving without hesitating as she could recall herself being in this same place a year or two back. Then there had also been a storm, and she had gotten lost in the forest. But somehow the young girl had managed to stumble upon a large and abandoned factory which seemed to be untouched by any human for a long time. And now, she had decided to look for that same place as she had no intention of getting drenched. Even if it hadn't happened in years that she had gotten sick, then it didn't mean she was going to take the chance now. If I recall correctly... I go to right now.. And surely enough, as she had walked for just 2 minutes she was now standing in front of the large building which was lit up with an occasional lightning.
She ran towards a door she spotted, a rather broken down door, but swung it open and closed it behind her as she let out a small breath while looking around. Such a long time since she had been there, and yet everything seemed the same. Well.. maybe not exactly the same. While standing absolutely still, she came to the conclusion that she was indeed not alone. Yoshiko wasn't sure what it was that ticked her off and made her aware of it, but that feeling in her gut was enough. Slowly and carefully she moved over the floor while looking around, her footsteps completely silent as her breathing went almost still. She saw a faint light finally, like from a candle, come from one of the rooms. Should I check or just leave it be? Well she didn't see why she shouldn't check it out, so closer she went. As she was about 2 meters away from the doorless room, she stopped and listened. Of course then whoever that was in there could have heard her the minute she stepped into the factory. And for all she knew there could be some sort of a trap that had been set.
Pulling down her hood so she could have a better view, she wiped a few damp, light brown locks from her face while blinking the small raindrops away from her long eyelashes. Her purple eye scanned the area quickly and didn't catch anything which seemed to be unusual, so with her arm ready to reach for the katana she stepped to the entrance of the room and looked into it to see whomever it was that was in there. Sitting on a chair at a desk was a man, which was now facing her. He seemed to be in his late twenties, or perhaps 25 or 26, having a rather intelligent look to him wether that was because of his glasses or not. Yoshiko stood still and took a quick look over him, her visible eye running over his handsome face and then over to the book he was reading, before it returned back to his dark eyes. "Who... are you? I didn't think anyone lived.. in this building." She paused and seemed to be hesitant about stepping into the room. She niftly slid the cloak off and let it fall to the floor so that she would be better able to reach for her katana in case the man would decide to attack. "I'm simply seeking shelter... from the weather. I'm not... looking for trouble."

| After taking in his concentrated observation of the village’s weather, Daisuke’s mind was essentially put into somewhat of a eased yet still somewhat chaotic state. His mind was put at ease because of the simple process of taking a look at what Mother Nature had to offer and taking it in as if it was just another breath of fresh air. The chaotic part however was due to the exact treatment Mother Nature was giving to this poor and somewhat depressing village in its near mindless state already. He didn’t really question it though as he simply tried to read his book with a clear mind, as hard as it was at the moment.
During his readings, Daisuke had taken it upon himself to blink just a second longer than usual for the main fact of checking his surroundings because something in his gut and soul was starting to tell him that something wasn’t right inside of his environment. At first, he was just thinking that this old abandoned warehouse was making just slightly paranoid but a shinobi could never be too safe, especially in his time of comfort when the enemy was known to tactfully strike the most.
Much to his gut and soul feeling, there was indeed a source not too far from him, making its way around this area at high speed. Daisuke didn’t fret about it though, he didn’t even move from his position. All the young shinobi did was turn the page of his book as he continued to blink a little more frequently to measure her distance within every few seconds that was drawing closer and closer to the source’s potential arrival just to make sure that she was actually heading into the direction of the warehouse. As she finally ranged within twenty meters, Daisuke had figured that she would be heading towards this direction. Such a shame, he was actually hoping for a little bit of peace and quiet at this time.
Stretching himself out a bit while yawning, Daisuke picked his swords up from beneath his chair and leaned them against the wall next to him for better access all while he was still reading the book. It didn’t seem like it was going to be long until Little Miss Daisy would make her grand appearance so readily prepared his body by positioning it so that, though he would still be looking like he was just reading lazily, he could access his weapons in mere seconds.
After taking yet another long blink in order to catch her range, Daisuke leaned his elbows a little bit so that he was finalized into positioning himself and soon enough, there were sounds of footsteps heading in closer and closer, the face on Daisuke’s face making him seem and feel very calm as he mentally prepared himself as well. As she finally made her way, over to the room, Daisuke tensed up somewhat but still didn’t make a move just yet, not unless she would make hers.
Once she began to speak, Daisuke leaned back just a little bit as he turned his head towards her direction in order to see what he was working with and then quickly noticed something on her body that gave him a bit of a clue on who she is. Once she asked her question, Daisuke simply proceeded to use two fingers from his free left hand and slid them under the color of his cloak, which was resting in on the back of the chair, and hold it next to the candle light for her to see before placing it back and taking a quick glance at her before going back to his book, silently inviting her to do as she’d like.

| It seemed to become a habit of people to be rude these days and not answer simple questions which were directed at them. But in her indifferent state, Yoshiko shrugged that off. If he didn't want to talk then there was no need to be talking. Her eye followed his hand as it proceeded in lifting a dark cloak slightly from the chair so that it would be reflected better in the light. Wait... Her deep purple eye narrowed slightly as she gazed on the cloak before staring into the man's face again. Why did he do that? Surely enough she was now standing in the same room as a fellow Akatsuki partner, but Yoshiko had no idea just why he had shown her his identity. Raising a single eyebrow she just nodded towards him before stepping into the room and taking the katana off her back, as she then placed it against the wall next to where the door would have been. It was relatively warmer inside of this room than the other empty ones in the building, so Yoshiko took his silence as an offer to warm a bit up before she would go on with her business. Her hands went up into her damp hair, picking the red accessorie out before ruffling the thick locks that spilled down before combing through them with her lean fingers.
For a moment she thought about questioning his motives, but then bit her lips together while shaking her head. If he wanted to assume she was in Akatsuki then he could go ahead and do that. It wasn't as if she was either denying it nor agreeing to it. Were there also people like him in the organisation.. seemingly calm and intelligent. That typical type which never seemed to get into trouble. Somehow Yoshiko had imagined herself with only crazed murderers, but as she thought better about it then it wasn't like she was a crazed murderer. And from the way her encounter with the leader had gone.. then she doubted he was only looking for mindless beasts. There was so much more to him than that. She picked her coat up from the floor and gave it a good shake before hanging it on the katana. Next she took off her jacket, thankful that the shirt she wore underneath it had gotten away without getting damp.
The rest of the clothes she figured would be better to leave on. Giving the jacket a slight shake also, she turned her attention towards the man that was busying himself with reading. "Have you been here.. for a long time?" Sure she was the silent type, but even the silent types had to be curious every once in a while. If so then it was a bit weird she had never seen him around in the village before. But it wasn't really that much of a chance he had stayed here for more than a week or two.. it wasn't as if this building was the most warm and welcoming place to live in. Well, it is isolated and in a good spot if you want to be able to train without many being likely to ever get in your way.
It made her feel a bit awkward to just stand there and don't have anything to do other than listening to them both breathing and the occasional flipping of pages in his book. Not wanting to invade too much, she kept herself mostly close to where the entrance was, leaning her body against a wall there as she held her hands behind her back and linked her cold fingers together while waiting for her bodyheat to start picking up the pace. It would be any minute now... and at least she wasn't shaking yet. Another thunder roared, and for a moment Yoshiko thought to herself that this place was a bit creepy .. that was if one wasn't a skilled shinobi. I wonder.. if you can slice up ghosts.. A rather random thought, but Yoshiko did have those from time to time.

| ‘Emotion is the complex psychophysiological experience of an individual's state of mind as interacting with biochemical and environmental influences. In humans, emotion fundamentally involves "physiological arousal, expressive behaviors, and conscious experience". Emotion is associated with mood, temperament, personality and disposition, and motivation.’ Re-reading that line in the book to himself, Daisuke thought of the things he could create, discover, or even enhance with the information he was gaining from this book, not just the simplicity of that sentence, which was the first thing one would read when opening it, but from many other things like the theories and arguments made by many scientists, doctors and psychologists, from the Somatic theories to the Cognitive ones, the disciplinary approaches such as the evolutionary biology, sociology, etc. and the differences among species, age and sex.
The very thought of sex used in the matter of simple gender roles brought the reminder of the woman that had just questionably entered the room. The same thoughts brought back some “Did you know?” moments from the gender chapter of the book but Daisuke’s mind was among other more important things, such as why she was even here in the first place, what did she plan to do and the all too familiar who she is exactly. Daisuke was an avid reader of the famous “Bingo Book” and always tried to stay current with a lot of the shinobi mentioned in there, male, female, animal, what ever came across his view. As she started to attempt to make herself comfortable in the room, Daisuke quietly turned another page, trying to match her facial expression to a picture until he finally succeeded.
From what Daisuke could recall, he believed that she went by the name of Yoshiko… what was her family name… Tomiko; yes, that was it. Nothing much about her that interested him though, just something about being cold and young or whatever, the average plain missing ninja so he didn’t have much on her other than her name and a slight guess on her persona and for some reason, the way she appeared made it seem as if she’d like to keep it that way. Daisuke didn’t dig through his mind though; he simply yawned as he turned yet another page.
Another dash of silence went on between them until the female finally took the initiative to ask a question, possibly just trying to create small talk. Daisuke let the question linger for a little while though before he answered with his own request. “Define long.” Upon giving his request, Daisuke let that one linger for a bit before completing his answer. “I’ve been in Amegakure for relatively 1 week, researching a very important potential seal within the confines of this solitary environment for 3-4 days and reading this book for 1 hour and 23 minutes, Yoshiko.” His answer was specific yet broad at the same time, something that was among Daisuke’s many habits.
As if to answer anymore incoming questions that she may have, Daisuke continued. “I’m just passing the time while this thunderstorm rages on. The Shikyo’s gone out to play so I was thinking of broadening my research by going through some other villages in some time.” And just to add some icing to their conversation cake, Daisuke added on a bit of info from his book as a little experiment. “Did you know that by the age of 18, the average woman has cried 4 times than the average man?”
