It has been 3 weeks since word was received from the North. 3 weeks since the first hints of war spread through Shinobi Countries. The first to notice this change was Iwagakure, the protectors and guardians of the Shinobi Continent from the Northern Continent. They had sent out warnings to all of the villages, warnings of a threat of which we had never seen the likes of. It was alarming. Today, the Kages have announced the increase in patrol missions and reduce the amount of missions that we were taking from other countries. We need all the shinobi on call that we can get, in case this threat comes for us.

It has been 4 months since we received word from Iwagakure about the threat. Since that day, communications have been silenced. Shortly after we lost communication with Sunagakure, and even Kirigakure. Something bad has happened, the Hidden Villages wouldn’t just up and turn off all communications unless something was drastically wrong. The Kage’s spy networks have also turned cold, essentially cutting the two remaining villages off from the rest of the world. We are on our guard, but if they proved to be a big a threat as to take out three of the five major Hidden Villages, we wont stand a chance without warning.

Last entry for now. The enemy is on the move, but we cannot find them. Whether they are retreating or staying, that is what I must find out. This is a dark time for the entire shinobi world, rumors running wild. New villages sprouting up, cultists kidnapping ninja, Akatsuki on the move, the return of the Bijuu, nations conquering other countries for personal gain. We know not how long we can last against these threats, or even if these rumors are true. We are at a disadvantage and are running out of time. Should this journal never be updated again, I have failed at my mission, and I hope that this reaches proper ears.
