Name meaning: Giant Alternating Sword

Location: In a sheathe strapped to Hope's back. The strap runs across his chest from the left shoulder to his right hip.

Description: From tip to handle the blade is approximately 5 to 6 feet long, with a single/double-edged blade. It has a offset golden coloured hilt, which is wrapped in a blood-red coloured cotton in such a fashion that diamond shapes are created.
-Weight: 13- 22lbs.

Abilities:
-The blade has two forms which the user can alternate between if they focus chakra into the blade. The first form is generally a normal sword that is generally used by hope as he has trouble carrying the sword as it is, nevermind in its heavier twin form. When the user is able to engage with a stronger enemy or an enemy with a large weapon or the user just needs a strength boost then the user will transform the blade into the second stronger form.
-Over the years the blade has been refined, sharpened and overall improved. The blade is now fireproof (It has been painted with intumescent paint) and is able to deflect most blows from standard weapons without becoming damaged.

-Note(s):
The gathered chakra infuses itself with the metal of the sword and gives it a larger mass.
Due to the materials that the sword is made from the actual blade is an electrical conductor which may cause problems for the user if he/she is not careful.
It takes a C-rank amount of chakra to change the blade into it's second form. In order for the blade to change back into it's starting form it allows the stored/charged chakra to leak out of it causing the change in mass.

History: According to Hope's mother this blade was once his father's so it is his birth right that the sword should belong to him as it was meant to be passed down from father to son within their branch clan.

Whilst Hope and his mother were still living in Kirigakure no sato (before they left for Konoha and just after his father died), She told him about the whereabouts of this sword and informed him that it once belonged to his father. Apparently the man was a pretty skilled swordsman who had his sights set on joining the seven swordsman of the hidden mist organisation eventhough no one seemed to be sure that the organisation was still active. The blade was said to be quite large and had a few abilities of its own.

The downside of everything was the fact that the blade was hidden away in Konoha. The place where Hope's father died and the village of orgin of the Kangai Clan and it's main branch. Wanting to see the sword for himself, Hope would sometimes run away from his mother hoping that he was heading towards Konoha. Although he was always found by a Kirigakure shinobi who was a friend of the family and taken back to the village. Hope decided to never give up trying to find the sword and after the death of his mother, chases the dream furiously. (I intend to RP finding the sword at a later date and obviously after I RP out Hope's entry into Konoha and his meeting with Bao/Yoshimaru).

- Ok, how much chakra does it take to switch forms? I don't see it stated there.

- How heavy does the blade get?

-Also, please define the chakra used, and please explain how is it fire/lighting resistant.

-Ok, some of your abilities need to be defined/refined as well as locked or limited until you learn how to use swords in a more advanced way IC since Kenjutsu isn't a spec and from what I know, you don't speak about learning about swordplay in your history.

Swords cannot have special abilities unless you specialize in Kenjutsu.
