| Name of Weapon or Item: Buddah's Magnificent Pillow Owner: Lady Coal Location: Home, summonable Rank: A Description/Abilities: This pillow has the ability to levitate as the owner wills it. Using the ability costs 1 B rank of chakra per hour of sustained flight, and has a maximum speed of about 25-30 mph. The platform is capable of floating straight upwards, downwards, to any side, and hover motionlessly if needed. Though the platform will only listen to the chakra commands of the owner, any puppetry user is able to seize control of it as if it was one of their puppets. The platform can support about 300 pounds of weight before it fails. This item functions thanks to several seals which are integral as part of the devices construction. The central acts something similiar to a magnet to release a set frequency of waves of what is essentianly a stable form of telekenisis. The seal fluctates the supply needed, depending on the weight placed on the platform, to give the platform a sort of neutral bouyancy in physical space. This effect allows it to hover effortlessly, and for only small amounts of energy to be required in propelling it onwards. Controlling the mechanism works through the eight different Earth over Heaven hexagrams that outline the octogon shaped platform. By directing the flight chakra into the various hexagram seals the rider is able to change the direction of the platform, or draw it upwards or downwards. Because this does not operate off of moving parts, or need for air movement, or fuel being burnt, the maximum ceiling that can be reached is only what is tollerable to the living. Thin air and deadly cold temperatures typicaly keep people from venturing into the stratus. Balance is not an issue on this platform as it is as sturdy as standing on solid ground for the person above it. It requires a huge amount of force, at least enough to move 1,000 pounds, to move this platform even slightly out of level alignment, however if enough force is applied it will flip over. Because the seals do not act as a perfect system for maneuvering, this platform is not capable of quick or sudden changes in direction, not can it ascend or descend in altitude very quickly. What it lacks it mobility and speed, however, it greatly makes up for in stability, and reliability. The platform has a maximum altitude of about 25,000 feet before the platform will cease going upwards. This is an internal safety measure taken to prevent the platform from ever going above altitudes which could severely damage human flesh. History: The design of this item was something that came into the possession of the Open Lotus Monastery ages ago. Though the design details of the device remained secret for a very long time, eventually a bright and upcoming student at the monastery took it upon herself to construct a pair of these. The were both given out to deserving students of the monastery, and Coal just happened to be one of the. Appearance: This small ornate platform is octagonal in shape, meaning it has 8 sides. The broad surface is about five feet wide, and four inches thick. It's crafted of what looks like solid, and shining black obsidian. The top of the glossy black stone is inlaid with eight I-ching kanji, all of which are Earth over Heaven markers. The top of the central platform has been etched with a tracework of overlaying fuuinjutsu seals.

| 1. It needs more chakra drain
2. Give a definite number of height of where it stops rising.
3. You need to give the size of the platform
4. You can't use anti gravity. Find another way to make your platform float.

Why? If it cost any more it would be completely useless as a traveling device, and would have applications only on the short term. As this is a means of conveyance, and not some sort of fighting tool, I don't think it needs to cost anymore than it already does. - Quote :

Again, I'm not sure why it would need a defined ceiling, the human body keeps it from going too high, and it's not as though it's using some propeller or jet engine to move, it simply, and very slowly, levitates upwards. So, why? - Quote :

I did. It's five feet wide, and four inches thick. That's all in the appearance section. Before you asks, due to it's neutral buoyancy it clearly has no weight. - Quote :

KK, I'll change it. ^-^ | |

| Well since its a non living device that is used for transportation, it would suck out more chakra than you think. that and it needs to carry its own weight plus it needs to maintain that stability you want.
The higher the device goes, the stronger gravity fights against it, so it would need a max limit before you sucked all your chakra dry. Also the human body can be altered by jutsu to allow the ability to survive difficult terrain.

| Alright, I can see that, I suppose, though making it too expensive invalidates the point of creating the device. What do you feel is fair for making this thing move slow but steady?
I still don't feel that there should be a forced ceiling on the platform due to the function of its movement. It is unaffected by air density, and the force of gravity doesn't get any stronger as you get higher. Being able to survive the upper atmosphere would be extremely taxing on the body, as you'd have to heat yourself, and generate oxygen. Surviving in space, simply must be impossible, as you also need to maintain your body's inner pressure against the extreme vacuum of space, not to mention the radiation. Going up that high has the self balancing factor of needing both other jutsu, and lots of chakra, to prevent people from wanting to go there. Also, there's the fact that once your up there, there's not much else you can do but go "Holy crap I need a sweater" and " ooh, pretty view." I just don't see it as a big deal, or even worth mentioning.

| Honestly, the idea of this is good but the fact is that the amount chakra it would require wouldn't be worth it.
Also, you just need to give a number as to how high it can go without damaging you.

| Alright, changed it's chakra cost, and gave it a little more speed so I can get somewhere more quickly, and I added a maximum ceiling for it. I hope that works. | |
