A Little Water Never Hurt Anyeone.......Too Much (Aki and Drac)

Uchiha Itachi looked down into the clear water. It was impossible to tell just how deep the fountain was. Yes you could judge that the water was as deep as the fountain's base appeared tall. That could be a misconcpetion however, as the fountain could easily be embedded inside of the ground, going below the surface of the sidewalk that curved around it and where Itachi now stood. Looking down into the water was almost mysterious and haunting. The fact that the water was so clear to refract the light to this degree in such a way was astounding. It was just one of many fearutres that made Kumogakurge so majestic. Just one, of many.

He wasnt wearing much today, though he rarely ever did. It was actually about what he wore every day. Though there was usualy some armor of sorts to go along with it, but his body was clean of all metals today. All he bore now was a skin tight shirt with no sleeves and matching pants and boots, all coated in black. He also had his hair pulled back intoa ponytail like always, but other then that, he was just flesh and blood today. There was no need. He had been put on temporary hiatus until a sensei and some team members could be found for him to train with. He cuold be out training on his own of course, but didnt he deserve some time to himself too? He may have been a shinobi but he was still very much human.

He continued to stare down in the depths, paying attention to his eyes. They were gray. It was a pity really. He longed so much for them to turn red with curved specks of black signifying his power for each speck that appeared otherwise known as tomoe. They would show he was a true warrior of the Uchiha as well. How could he expect to unlock his sharingan though, if he couldnt even perform the fire ball jutsu. That was the true right of passage, never mind the sharingan. Both would be needed though to show he was worthy of the name given to him. Itachi. One of the greatest shinobi of the olden times, many many many years ago. He was off to a slow start so far.

He wondered how good the cold water would feel upon his skin. It was somewhat warm out today. Not that he minded, but cool was always better. He dipped his fingers into the water and spun them around a few times. He sighed.. It was a very relaxing feeling, even just on his finger tips. He wondered..........his clothes wouldnt be bothered by it at all. Still, he removed his boots all the while carrying a grin on his face. No one was paying mind to him anyway, to busy going about their day. He looked to each side and then jumped into the fountain. He broke through the cold blue surface and reimmerged a moment later. his hair slickining back, still in its ponytail. He wiped the excess water from his eyes and then realized he was having to tread water to stay above the waters surface. The fountain was in fact deeper then he was tall! A few people shot him dirty looks and he would just grin and wave. He wasnt swimming, just treading water and relaxing. He let himself go onto his back and floated there fora few minutes, looking up at the sky and the sun, feeling its warmth on his face. He had not a care in the world.

Finally, Senshi was able to get out in the town. It had seemed things had piled up, that made it near impossible for him to get out of the house. "We both know that is a lie, you just didn't have time for me!" Senshi stretched his arms out and yawned. The light was bright as soon as he stepped outside his house. He covered his eyes with his metal arm, that had seemed heavy for a first time, in a long time. He was wearing his normal attire, a blue t shirt and tan shorts. He had with him, his two guns and two katana, so he was ready to go. He jumped down from the top of his apartment building and landed safety on the ground. He knew that it was going to be a decent day, seeing as he was finally able to get out of his house. Although he dreaded the walk to the main part of the village, because he had lived so far away. "And why did you just bring this up now? I could be leaving in a mansion if you didn't make me have such a shitty laugh." He spat at the ground and then sighed. He knew that he could not spend his days complaining about life, even though he had seen hardships, he was glad with the way things were going. Although, he wanted to hurry and get the day started, Senshi just wanted to stroll for now. He soon found himself whistling a tune, as he walked down the road towards the village square.

He soon made his way to the middle of the village and sat down on a bench. He had no idea what he was going to do, because everything seemed slightly boring. He stood up after several minutes, and noticed a fountain in the middle of nowhere. It really wasn't something he had seen before, but that might have been because it was a little off to the side. He sighed and decided that he might be able to get into some trouble with it. "Ah, what fun. Trouble is one of my favorite thinks. Its like you can read my mind." Senshi said with a smirk on his face. He neared the fountain and took out all of is weapons and his shirt. He was going to take a dip right away, without even thinking about it. He could not tell how deep it was, but it was all good because he already knew how to swim. He soon jumped up in the air and aimed for the fountain. "Cowabunga!" He yelled while he was in the air. He then landed in the fountain and realized that it was a little cold. He did not mind, but he knew that his arm could not stay in the water long, for it might rust and he did not want that. For now, he would just wait until someone made him get out, and refuse to do so. "Thats the way I like it, maybe I'll even get a decent fight." Senshi said looking around in the fountain.

Senshi soon noticed that someone else was in with him. It shocked him a little, but maybe he should have seen it coming. He sighed as he saw the man for the first time. Something looked familiar about the boy, but he could not put his finger on it. He smiled as he swam towards the boy, keeping an eye on things as he did so. He thought that maybe this boy, would fight him. He waved as he neared the boy. "I'm Senshi Metaru, nice to meet you." He soon pointed to his head and laughed. "And this is Drac, he lives inside of my head." He said in a joking tone, but at all the same time he was very serious about someone living inside his head. "Hes' my author and can be a jackass sometimes, but for the most part he makes my days good, but he can be a jackass about things, and its no fun." Senshi did not want to get to the fighting part right away, the water was now relaxing and he thought that maybe he could get a break from all this ninja for once. He smiled as he swam back to his things, although he was still in talking distance of the other ninja. "So, do you have a name?" Senshi soon looked up at his forehead. "Of course he has a name you dolt!" "I know he does, I just want to know it, now keep quiet!"

The surface of the water erupted and droplets broken off from the main body burst into the air and sailed down back into the fountain, some fanning out and on to the sidewalk surrounding the fountain. A few of these droplets landed on Itachis face and stomach. He frowned. He did like the water but splashing was rather, annoying to someone who was just trying to relax. He decided he should see just who exactly it was that had caused this disturbance. It was not that he intended to retaliate upon the person, he was just curious. Life had obviously just thrown someone into his life, if even only temporarily. That was not something that should go unnoticed.

He spun around and found himself treading water again, being straight up and down but his feet still not touching the water. He remembered that the refraction of the water was quite intense because of the cleanliness of it. He had forgotten that bit, too taken by the sensation it created upon his skin. He looked down and saw that his body looked highly compressed as it was. It brought the smile back to his face, just as the sound of the cohesion between water molecules being broken once again was heard, this time by this character resurfacing, not bombarding in.

The two boys stared at each other for a moment. Itachi didnt think that the other kid realized that he was in here when he had leaped in. He looked to be about his age. Was he a genin too? Itachi wasnt sure how to respond to the guy, so he just smiled at him warmly but not overly zealous. He was glad when the other one was the one to break the ice.

He learned that the kids name was Senshi. That was an odd name. It almost sounded like two seperate names when he said it in his head but the way that Senshi had worded it, it was probably only his first name. He also learned that the boy was a bit loony in Itachi's own oppinion, but he didnt let it bother him. He only chuckled when Senshi began talking to himself as though he were two different people. Then he was asked his own name. He chuckled again, his smile unfading, and answered him.

"My name is Uchiha Itachi. I am very pleased to meet you."

Using one arm and his legs to keep himself afloat, he held out his right hand for Senshi to shake in a sign of accepted greeting. He kind of liked this Senshi guy, he was funny.

The two boys soon shook hands and to Senshi, this meant that the two could likely become friends. He smiled, because he never really had a friend before, and it was nice to that it was possible. The boys name was Itachi, and he knew that he had heard it somewhere. He could not put his finger on where, but it was a name that everyone had heard before. This boy was probably going to grow up to be a great ninja. Soon, Senshi snapped his fingers and had a smirk on his face. This was the person that could be his friendly rival. He was not really looking for one, but it would be nice to have someone that he could look forward to fighting, for years to come. Although it was a peaceful time, Senshi could not stay in the water long, because of his arm. He waved at Itachi, to so that he was getting out. Senshi was first hiding his metal arm, because he did not want to think he was weird and leave. He did not mind what others thing and actually enjoyed it. He kept it hidden until he got out of the water. He looked back at Itachi and smiled. "I can't stay in the water long, because I have this thing, and metal in water isn't good." He said still smiling. Senshi hoped that the day could go on if Itachi left the water.

Senshi soon gathered his things, and looked at them. "Good, nothing was stolen." "Well, of course not, you were watching it the whole time." "I was still worried!" Senshi yelled out to himself. He soon put his t-shirt back on and took his swords and put them on a holster on his back. He then picked up his other two weapons. To a normal ninja, these things looked odd, and they did not seem to sever much purpose first glance. He twirled them both around his hand and aimed one of them in front of him. He smiled at Itachi as he was doing this the whole time. "These things are my babies. It a ranged weapon that I made by hand, the replace kunai." He then raised them both in the air and pulled the trigger, two shoots fired and two very sharp shards of metal came out of the weapons. He then put the guns down and walked over to Itachi and sat down near the water. As he sat down, Senshi's stomach made a odd sound, and he had realized that he did not eat this morning. He was hungry, "Oh, hell yes I am!" He yelled out. He jumped up quickly and landed a few feet away from the fountain.

"Hey, Itachi, why don't we go get something to eat? We can talk more there, I have a question I want to ask you." Senshi really had hoped that Itachi was in fact a ninja, It would be nice to fight him today, if he really could. He smiled as he waited for Itachi to get out of the water. "Ah, hell with it Itachi. I'll just ask you know. I was wondering if you were a ninja, that way we could become rivals!" He yelled out and made a fist. "Although it will be a friendly rival, just so we can get stronger together." He smiled and held his thumb up. Boy did he look like an idiot. "I do not!"

Itachi watched as the boy suddenly took off in an attempt to get out of the fountain. His smile faltered for a moment, but did not completely fade. It just dropped a little bit. He was almost offended that the boy would just take off with out a word. Had he said something to offend the boy. Was it his Uchiha name? Itachi kept his gaze upon Senshi as he turned back around and Itachi's smile returned to its fullness when he spoke to him and told him of his metal arm and why he had to get out so abruptly. Looking at all the facts now, it made total sense. He did not respond at this point as only a few moments after Sensehi spoke, he turned around and began to cater to his stuff.

Itachi slowly made his way to the side of the fountain as Senshi got all of his stuff back together. He lifted himself over the side of the fountain and was facing the center of the fixture he had been swimming in. He turned around, spinning on his but so that he was again facing what he would grow to consider his new friend. He reached down, still sitting on the cold stone, and grabbed his boots and began putting them back on.

As he stood up and stretched a little bit, Senshi showed him a bit of equipment he had never seen before. It was very pecculiar to hiim. He watched with curiosity as he was told about it, though Senshi didnt reveal much. Then he raised them both into the air and activated the weapons, which launched something out of the small barrels. It looked to be something that increased the power behind projectiles, maybe a kunai launcher? He hadnt been able to see the metal, well he assumed it was metal, that had escaped the weapons hold well enough to deduce exactly what it was.

Senshi put the weapons away and asked him if he would mind going to grab a bite to eat. Then he completely switched tracks, aparently being too impatient on the matter to wait till they grabbed a meal. He was wondering if the two could be rivals. Well that wasa an interesting question to just come right out and ask someone wasnt it.

"Well it just so happens I am a ninja, but rivals arent just arranged like that. Its something that happsens between two people over time. Maybe some day we can be rivals. We could spar later on to kick off the possibility eh? I think we should get some food first though. I am hungry and itd be better to be fighting with fresh energy. That and all my ninja gear is back at my home and well I would be at a slight disadvantage eh?"

Reborn sighed a little, walking down the streets, wondering what could be going on. He hadn't been out and about too much lately, not since taking Natsumi out to dinner or meeting up with the Raikage again, well new Raikage. Maybe he ought to sign up for a mission or other sometime? It did get a little boring, just the slightest bit, when he sat in his room alone or wandered through the Vongola Stronghold. It was quite... dreary. And the other Acrobalenos had taken to different parts of the world too, so... Joy.

He was just passing along, thinking about going out to eat again when he noticed the fountain and two young boys. He quickly identified one of them as Uchiha Itachi, a young man who had been named after a highly skilled man several centuries ago, a man he had never really gotten to meet personally. And the other... who was the other boy? It took Reborn a few minutes, but he soon pulled up a copy of the young boy's form. He always did find time to at least glance through the general forms of each new ninja, and if they interested him or something caught his attention he'd start looking for a more private profile.

Of the two of them, he noted that both were unique in their own ways. Itachi, although he wasn't living up to his namesake, was trying as hard as he could and seemed like he could indeed live up to his namesake one day. And the other, Senshi, was skilled as well, if not a little messed up in the head. But that didn't really matter to him. Although mentality could affect one's ability to grow and succeed in life, it wasn't the only thing that affected one's life. He remembered being vaguely interested in them, wondering how they'd turn out years from now.

Were they friends? He didn't know and he certainly wasn't going to ask that. Rivals? Maybe. Just passing by? Perhaps. For awhile he just watched the two boys as they spoke, seemingly friendly enough, and climb out of the fountain. They were mentioning something about fighting and food. Very briefly he considered treating the two young ninja and seeing if he could find out anything about them that might spark his interest. Senshi already had, what with his weapons, and Itachi... well he seemed normal enough for now. Then again, he knew better than to expect anything normal out of anyone. Yes, or no? Approach or pass by?

He'd always been a little bit curious, the reason why he sort of agreed to becoming an Acrobaleno, not the whole reason, but partially. Besides it wasn't like anything bad was going to result from this meeting, was it? Sure they might... empty his wallet... but that he could bear with.

So, without much of a warning, or hint, Reborn approahced the two young boys at a moderate pace. He looked up at Itachi, looking at his eyes, wondering if the boy had unlocked his Sharingan yet and then looked over at Senshi, taking in his metal arm. Interesting, very interesting, these two. He wondered if they'd take notice of him or just think that he was a baby, an oddly dressed baby, sure, but still, most of the younger generation always automatically assumed he was a useless little baby who couldn't amount to very much in a fight, Ninjutsu or Taijutsu related. Granted, if it was Genjutsu he might fall for some of the higher leveled ones, but most of the time he could figure things out in time or avoid it altogether or at least suffer minimal damage, nothing too serious, yet. And that's all he did: look at them. He didn't say anything at all yet.

'At least they're not girls or the feminine guys. Being called cute and adorable... Getting pulled into those tight, airless hugs... Ohhh sure its nice sometimes when they hug me, but really, every single time one of these young girls see me now a days its nothing but their high pitched voices and death-trapping hugs! I need a bit of a break from those. Maybe that's why I've been staying inside lately...' thought Reborn, a little distracted. Vaguely, Reon looked at each of the Genin with his big, wide eyes as well, a big, goofy smile on his face as usual.

Senshi was glad to get out of the water, because he was very hungry. The two started walking and Itachi had answered his question. As soon as Itachi said he was a ninja, Senshi smiled. He was glad that he found someone to spar with really quick, but he knew first thing was first, and that was food. "Thank you for saying that, I'm starving." Senshi seemed to say to himself, like he had done before. Then Itachi had told him the rivalry would have to wait, which now that Senshi really thought about it, was a good thing. Food always came first, and then they could build a friendship, getting to know one another better. Senshi nodded at Itachi as soon as he finished talking. He wanted to spar him, as soon everything was ready. He looked like a strong enough for a good fight and once they became good friends they would make each other stronger. Senshi really liked the sound of that. Now that that was cleared, the only thing on Senshi's mind was food. He really wanted something along the lines of a taco, but it seemed he had been eating a lot of those lately, and he did not know what Itachi would want to eat. He soon decided that he would let Itachi choose. "Hey, Itachi what do you have in mind, that we could eat."

Soon, Senshi noticed something walking up behind the two. He did not know who it was, but by just looking behind him, he could not see anything. For a moment he ignored it, but at a second glanced noticed a small child coming up from behind him. He jumped back and pulled out his gun. "Whoa, babies creep me out!" He yelled out and shot off a fire, right above the baby, missing it on purpose. "Rock a bye bang!" He yelled out right as he fired. It seemed he was joking about it, but he really seemed he did not like babies. He needed to calm down. "Whoa, you don't need to tell me what to do, they are creepy." He yelled out looking above him. Despite Senshi playing around, he could tell this was no normal baby. He felt like he had seen him before, but he could not put his finger on it. "Hey, I already told you, they creep me out, now you want me to touch it, no way!" He yelled out once more. He knelled down and looked at the small child and shook his head. He had to get a good look at it before he finally decided what he wanted to say. He did not wish to stay long, because he did not think this baby could have been of much help to him, right now, but he had been wrong in the past. It wouldn't hurt, if he at least told him his name. "I told you...I don't want any part of that thing." Senshi sighed and knew that he wasn't going to get away with things. "Fina, I'll talk, you bastard. I'm Senshi Metaru." Senshi said rolling his eyes.

He then stood all the way up and turned back to Itachi. "Now, why don't we go get some grub, I'm so hungry I could ride a horse." Senshi said and the laughed.

Itachi felt the cold air blast agianst his skin in a sudden gust that came out of no where. Sure the sun did provide its heat, but the air fronts all seemed to be of the cold nature in these parts. It was probably the altitude and mountainous landscape that made up a good chunk of the lighting country. Itachi was used to such random bouts of naturally occurring wind, but the cold water that lay upon his skin amplified its icy touch. His arms produced goosebumps and he shivered a bit.

As his hair settled again, He saw what appeared to be a baby now in their general premise. He had not seen it because of the hair in his face, and now it was right there next to them. He was not sure how to react. A baby? All alone out here, this was odd. All by itself, and looking oddly pleased with it self, or rather, not in a bad mood. There was something odd here, this was not something that should be in place, a child this small all by itself. His smile dropped, but not because he was angry, sad, or frightened, but it was a face of one in thought, which some times came off as someone who was troubled by something though this was not the case.

Senshi's reaction was a little over the top. Itachi was starting to figure him out. He was a loud mouth, a bit nuts, and over the top at times, but he was, over all, friendly and if nothing else, dynamic. At least he wasnt boring and could provide some entertainment. Itachi had to admit, though he was quite friendly and kind himself, was sort of bland in a social circle. Just because he wasnt extremely out going.

He couldnt help but laugh when Senshi fired his weapon over th things head, and was rather shocked when it didnt jump or anything like that. This was getting more odd by the second. It seemed that his, what he hoped to be soon, partner did like babies all that much, a rather odd phobia in his eyes. Then for some odd reason, Senshi told the little tyke his name. Itachi had no idea why he would do this, but then a few moments later, he turned to walk away making a few comments about his hunger. Itachi reached out and put a hand on his upper arm to get his attention.

It wouldnt be right to leave a baby out here all by himself. We should find who ever takes care of him and make sure that hes safe, we are shinobi after all. It shouldnt take long and if nothing else we just take him to the administration at the Raikages building and let them sort it out right?

He liked Senshi. Itachi... ... not so much. But he could see where people were getting "Crazy Senshi" or "Insane Senshi" from. The did seem a little bit loose in the head, but not so loose that he was literally anything alone the lines of 'stupid'.

The gunshot had been a little unexpected (how often is that you aim at a baby when you first see it???), but not un-nerving. In hindsight he supposed he should've been prepared for that in a way. But as he mentioned his surname, a bit of information got jogged in his mind and he was momentarily reminded of the Metaru Clan and their bloodline. That explained a few things about Senshi's abilities and why he had such weapons.

He easily noted the two seemed to get along just fine. It seemed... natural for them, being together, not refined or forced. And he supposed it was a chance meeting since they both seemed new to each other. What a strange (and lucky?) encounter.

Senshi essentially walked away, only to be stopped by Itachi before he mentioned that they ought to be helping him and find out where he needed to be taken. He had about a second to make a choice: reveal who he was... or go along with it. He chose the later. Reborn wanted to find out a bit more about these two Genin and he had found that the easiet way to do so was to be a 'ghost' and thus 'hear' what others had to say and see what others acted like naturally when they had no threats or reasons to suspect they were being observed.

So, he looked up at them both and smiled just a bit before saying 'food' in a childish sort of way. "Foooood!" he chanted out again. He only hoped they'd take him with them instead of dropping him off at one of the village's official buildings... He supposed that if he couldn't eavesdrop on them he'd have to tell them who he really was and apologize a little, offering to treat them to a meal.

He suspected Itachi might, just might, question him because he already seemed wary, or at least surprised at seeing him and how calm he had been. Senshi... well he hadn't really seemed to notice anything or other except that he had an odd sort of phobia against babies. Reborn laughed a little on the inside at this. Now imagine if he'd been assigned to teach them as their Jounin sensei!

Whilst waiting to see their reactions he began to adopt a more lax outlook and seem just a bit more childish and having emotions rather than being calm and collected. The only thing that really contradicted that was his little mafia suit and the green chamelon on his fedora. Vaguely he wondered if he ought to take Reon and stroke him or other as if he were a favorite toy or pet. Well, he was... but Reborn wouldn't really call him a toy or pet...

Seeing as he was unsure of how these boys would react, he decided to lift a hand up and rub his eyes, as if a little tired or just gotten something in his eye. Reon easily slipped onto his hand and Reborn brought his hand back down to his eye level. He looked at Reon a little wide-eyed at first and then began to stroke the little green beast.

It had seemed that avoiding the small child was not likely to happen. Itachi seemed to have a caring side of things like this, which was good, but not always needed. He sighed and gave Itachi a disapproving look, once he said they were going to take him to the Raikage's office. He did not like the sound of that, but they would have to walk passed all the food to get to it. He then realized that women loved babies. "Hey, you are right, they do!" He smiled at the little boy and then gave a fake glare to Itachi. "Why would you want to leave the boy be, what kind of ninja would just let a poor baby be on his own. We should let him tag along with us!" He nodded at Itachi, trying to show him that he was only kidding. He liked to joke like this and anything to get a hott woman around, would make things better. "Hell yes it does!" He knelled down to the baby and smiled at him. "So, can you say..." He was soon interrupted by the small child saying something. He had seemed he wanted food, meaning that he could tag along. It seemed he would be willing to pay for the child too. "Aw, why the hell would you even say that? I barely have enough money as is!" He was still looking at the child, when it yelled. "So, little man do you have a name?" He finally asked the child. He did not know if he could talk or not, but it would be best to find out.

He soon stood back up and looked at Itachi. "Well, we can get something to eat, and then if you want you can get your things, whenever you wish." He looked back at the child and shook his head. It was creepy and he did not see why it was so cute to women. It was just that they had huge heads and little bodies, how could something function like that? He really wanted to know, but would have to ask a doctor sometime. He sighed and knew that he would have to spend a little more than normal, and then probably spend the rest of the day either talking to the Raikage or looking for the kids parents. He slapped his forehead and sighed. "Ugh, what a day this had turned into." He thought today was going to be filled with a lot of excitement. This is not what he had in mind. He began to walk towards the various shops, awaiting for Itachi to choose which one for the three to eat at. Senshi did not care what it was, just as long as it was too pricey and it was picked soon. "Alright, we are here, whatever you want, its up to you."

He really had hoped that they would get a big cheap meal, and then Itachi would return home, and the two could get in a good spar, to work off some of the food they had eaten. This would make the day much more fun, because Senshi really wanted to fight. He did not know why, but something in him told him to do so. "Yes, I know why! It makes me look manly and I get stronger!" He yelled out in the middle of the village, people giving him weird looks. He really looked foolish. "Well, maybe if you would stop talking, I wouldn't!" He yelled out once more, then turned to Itachi, waiting to see which spot they would eat at.

Itatchis deep thought look remained plastered on his face.His mind began reeling after he spoke to Senshi, and wanst really paying attention as his new friend was ranting on and on. There was just something odd about this kid. It was being way to calm for a kid. Of course that could be translated as innocence but that wasnt the feel he was getting from the baby. Then there was what the kid was wearing. Of course, that wasnt any real tell, maybe it just had rich parents. Then again, maybe not.

It was sort of obvious though. He realized that now. He remembered the way the baby had been carrying itself when it first arrived to how it was now. It was acting, he was sure of it. And a rich spoiled brat being this calm about wanting food? He didnt think so. Kids as a whole were pretty whinny about that sort of thing, especially the rich ones. It wasnt acting in complete chracter of what he thought it should have, That and the suit itself did not just read the words dress, it was a suit meant for handling business, but why in the world would a baby need to handle business.

He didnt say a word as his hand snapped out and grabbed a kunai from Senshi's stash of ninja tools he held on him with complete silence, though he was sure Senshi would have felt it. He was crouched now, doubled over wtih his head low, almost even with the babies. He locked eyes with it. He would be able to tell now for sure. He charged at it, kunai held up by his head, arm in front of his face, the elbow crooked and even with his nose.

He didnt move all to fast, but well, it was fast enough. He was sure this was no child. He did not know if it was a threat or not, but regaurdless, it it was in fact not a baby then he would be able to stop Itachi's pretty vague and pitiful attack. If not, well Itachi wasnt going to actually hurt the thing. But he was going to watch how he reacted. He also wasnt giving the thing enough time to think about what he was doing, due to the very short distance. It would have to react on instinct alone, and that would tell him everything he needed to know.

Reborn smiled a little as Senshi essentially allowed him to accompany him and asked for his name. He would've answered the boy back, but as he had susupected, Itachi was indeed wary of him.

The young Uchiha had moved fluidly and quickly enough: the grabbing of the kunai and attack. He had met the young boy eye's only briefly and easily registered what he was doing. There was in no way he could avoid this 'attack'. He could just stand there... but he wouldn't know how to act like a child being attacked. Not well enough to pass anyway. It was rare that he had to act his age, both mentally and physically.

Reon easily shifted into a small handheld, little, green gun in Reborn's hand as Itachi took his first few steps, just moments after locking eyes with Reborn. It looked very much like a toy, maybe a toy water gun? The gun would be pointed straight at Itachi.

"I'm Reborn," he said simply, rather calm, all traces and pretenses of being a child gone. He was prepared to jump back a bit if the boy proceeded with his attack or even into the air to land atop of the young boy, Reon still aimed at him. Reon was, essentially, his main method of attack, but he had a feeling this was just a test and that Itachi wasn't actually going to harm him. "As you can guess I'm not exactly a baby, but I do hail from the Land of Lightning and provide service to the Hidden Cloud Village. I am no threat."

One large, vague eye glanced at Senshi, whilst he still held most of his attention towards Itachi. "And I can treat you both to a meal," he offered, his own little apology for 'spying' on them and attempting to 'spy' on them. He couldn't help but smile just a little bit, the corners of his mouth upturned and his eyes glinting happily. It wasn't that he enjoyed this or liked the fact that Kumo's Genin were intelligent or anything, it was just that this was the most he had talked all week, not to mention the most fun he had had too. Maybe he would enjoy spending time with these two.

It was... a little odd to say the least. He usually didn't associate with others unless they were related to the Vongola Family or had something to do with the family. And he certainly didn't just go out for a walk and just decide to accompany two Genin. Maybe he really was bored and had nothing better to do than to just pick up some random Genin. Oh sure, some Jounin might consider it lucky to run into a member of the infamous Uchiha, but really... It wasn't that big of a deal! Others might have considered it bad luck to run into Senshi but the kid wasn't crazy-crazy, just crazy. That's all. Everyone was different and having been a part of the mafia, much less part of a mafia family that had its own internal conflicts... he had had to get used to a lot of things and disregard even more things. People he didn't like, maybe even hated, he had to get along with and were allied to. Strange world, being a ninja and a hitman.

Soon, Senshi felt something being taken from his back pouch. He did not like this, because someone was close to touching his lower area, and he then glared at the person who had taken it. He did not like who he saw holding one of his kunai in his hand, and at that charing at the baby. Senshi took his guns out and aimed them both at Itachi, his new friend. "Itachi, I don't want to shoot this, but please step away from the baby." Senshi looked at the small baby, and it had seemed to not move, or even flinch when Itachi had charged at it. Senshi did not know a whole lot about small children, but he knew that one was unlikely to act like this, unless there was something different about it. He soon pulled out yet another gun and pointed it at the small child. Senshi then noticed that the animal with Reborn had soon turned into a small green gun. It looked oddly like a toy, but knowing the shape of the weapon, it was probably something similar to Senshi's weapons. He was glad that he had already pulled both of his weapons out before anything could go really wrong. He looked at Itachi and pulled his away. Soon, the small child had spoke, He was not shocked now, because he had already figured the boy was not who he appeared to be, although it took him longer to figure things out.

He looked back and forth at both of the people standing in front of him. "Now, why don't we all just stay calm for a second and put our weapons down. Reborn, you go first, please." Soon, Reborn spoke about being a person who is associated with this village. He did not know if he could trust him or not, but it surely could not turn out in anything bad, because someone would have to be stupid to try to attack alone, in such a village. Reborn then said something about treating them to food. Ah, he though maybe he could get along with this Reborn. Free food was always good. "And I had thought of paying double, this is awesome!" He soon twirled his guns around and put them back away. Senshi's serious face soon turned into a smile. He was happy to get food into his system, because he had not even eaten breakfast and this whole time, took about ten minutes just to even get to a place to eat. He marched in front of the two and looked at all the places to eat, and his mouth began to water. "So, Itachi, what are you waiting for!?" He yelled back at him. Although he seemed to forget about the whole thing that just happened, in the back of his mind, he wanted to know who this Reborn was.

"So, Reborn is it? I was wondering, how does a child like you plan on treating us, and on top of it all, how can you talk like that, at such a young age." He paused for a moment pondering over other things in his mind. "Oh, yea, and how can you work for this village?" "Stop asking so many questions you idiot." "Hey, I'm just asking questions, leave me be!" Senshi did not know what he was getting himself into, all he knew, is that he had a lot of question, that he wanted answered.

As soon as the "kid" opened its mouth, Itachi stopped in his tracks. There was no more reason to continue, he got what he wanted, information. When faced with potential injury or death, Itachi hunderstood that it was an almost guarantee that people would show their true colors. He did not know if this "Reborn" knew whether or not Itachi was actually going to hurt him or not, but the prospect was still there. It didnt matter, the beans were spilled now. He claimed to have hailed from Kumo, where they stood now. this was interesting.

If he was an ally, why did he point the gun at Itachi? This man had suspicions around him, so Itachis act had been justified. This wasn't, not really. Weird. Itachi knew the guy could just be a lying imposter, thinking genin would be all to easy to fool. However, he could just as easily be telling the truth couldnt he. When he offered to take them to food, well he still wasnt convinced, but he would reserve judgment for now and analyze this new character until he could tell for sure if he was who he said he was and not some outsider planing an attack.

He straightened up and spun the Kunai around his finger which was weaved through the loop at the non-lethal end. It peformed a corkscrew moton, slowly sliding off his finger as it twisted round and round till it finally flew off right back towards Senshi, who he was sure would have no problem retrieving it, catching it, whatever he chose to do. Itachi thought this meal was a good idea, and aparently so did he new friend. Though he was sure they each had entirely different motives. Granted, Itachi could not deny that he was in fact hungry, at least a little bit, and free food was always a nice prospect.

He dropped his seriousness for now, choosing to be lax. Afterall, he couldnt expect to get this other person to show who he truly was if Itachi was acting all up tight the entire time. It wasnt that he was acting like he was in good spirits. He really was. To him it was little more then a choice in how he wanted to act. This seemed like the best option for now.


Alright, food sounds great. Since you offered to buy, I think it would be fair if you picked the spot out.

As the boys disarmed themselves Reborn allowed Reon to shift back to his usual form and stroked him across the head gently before Reon crawled up his arm and onto the rim of the fedora.

Yawning just a little, Reborn nodded vaguely. "Pick whatever place you want," he said, springing up to Itachi and settling on his shoulders. He merely glanced down into the Genin's eyes. He was going to take a ride on his shoulders, whether he liked it or not. 'I wonder if they'll pick an all you can eat buffet place... ... sometimes those things get expensive...'

He was sure that this 'meal' was going to be interesting and fun, but how fun he didn't know. He was relaxing a little now, starting to enjoy himself again and wondering what he'd do with the Genin. Most people who knew Reborn were very aware of the fact that he didn't always 'relax' in the most normal of ways and his 'meetings' weren't exactly normal either. Hell, some of them said he was as extreme as Ryohei, just a little more hidden and cool about it. Then again, they did share the same 'element' didn't they? Maybe that was why... Were Suns always this ah 'extreme' about everything and anything? Thinking back a little, he managed to give the slightest hint of a smile on his face. Good times, good times.

Good, the little misunderstanding was over. Senshi did not want to see much blood shed here, because of his new found friend. He was also glad to eat, this was the thing that was at the top of his list. He had been starving since he woke up this morning, and now he was going to get free food. Today was just getting better. "I know, this is gonna be awesome!" He looked back at Itachi, showing that he didn't want to choose where they would eat. Soon, Reborn jumped on Itachi's shoulder. It had seemed Reborn took a liking to Itachi, like most people did. He was an Uchiha and most people respected that. Senshi did not much care because he had seen this time and again. He actually enjoyed being the crazy one, because it made everything fun. He shrugged his shoulders and look around for places to eat. He found out that Itachi nor Reborn wanted to choose, so he guessed it was on him. He looked around at all the stores and noticed a taco stand, but knew that he wouldn't choose that. He looked once more, hoping to find a place where he could get a lot of food, and everyone would enjoy.

He used his right index finger to point a place out. There, it looked like a great place to eat, that was the one he had chosen. He hoped they would like it, at much as they though he would. He looked at both of them and smiled. "Hey, what don't we eat at these place." Senshi said as he pointed at a small restaurant that looked like to serve tons of food. He nodded and walked into the place and looked around. "This place looks good, we can get full here, I am sure of it," He hoped that he made a right choose, because the other two did not want to decided for themselves. It seemed they had some sort of manners, which most of the time Senshi lacked. He did not really much care for them, he felt that they weren't really needed to be a ninja. He sighed and sat down, and soon looked at Reborn. "So, Reborn, you never answered my questions." "Thats because they were stupid." "They were not!"

He rolled his eyes, and then folded his arms together and looked at Reborn with a serious look. "So, what do you mean you work for the village?"

Now that he was aware that this person was surely not an enemy or a baby that he would have to take care of, Itachi;s mood was no longer business. It was laid back and happy as it was when he was swimming in the fountain. He glanced over his shoulder and looked at the little guy perched their right in the eye and smiled. He turned so that they would both be facing Senshi. Most would find a random adult riding on your shoulders a bit of an annoyance but not to him. No he thougth it was almost comical, and it probably looked that way to those around them. He figured that this guy was smart enough to figure that out, as he was smart enough to react appropriately to Itachi's little test. He was glad that he did not seem to have a problem with that at all.

It was kind of weird thinking that an adult male was cute, but he couldnt stop himself from thinking that, after all, he looked like a damn baby.. He wasnt sure if the thought would be considered a homosexual one or not. He didnt really care either. its not like he was attracted to the guy.

Senshi seemed hell bent on picking a good place out. He could see his concentration as he scanned the random shops for a good place to eat. He finally paused at one and pointed at it, requesting that they eat there. Itachi very much liked the choice, especially since he wasnt the one who had offered to spring for it. It was a buffet of the grandest kind in this area, and Itachi did not much feel like walking far to get some food. He nodded his agreeance and continued to smile, closing his eyes for a brief second as he showed his approval.


That place looks good to me too. What do you say reborn.

'Interesting place to eat... going to be costly, but nevertheless, interesting,' thought Rebon vaguely as he nodded in answer to them and the three of them strode inside and took their seats, waiting for someone to come along and take their orders or otherwise instruct them. The place seemed a little shabby compared to what Reborn knew of and had become accustomed to these past few years, but he could see that it had once been a grand place, perhaps only put out of place with the new modern world. They had yet to truly upgrade and he felt a little at home here. This place reminded him of his youth when items such as computers and cell phones had not existed or even existed profusely. Old wooden walls and flooring, worn away by years of usage, roughened and dented corners, walls, and tabletops. It wasn't rundown, far from it, but it did have a feeling of familiarity to it, something of old. The storefront looked modern enough, but any old paint job could have done that, but inside... inside it was like you had stepped back in time. At some time in the past this might have been the local bar or gathering place, but now compared to all the modern convinces, it was but a hidden world known only to locals and those few lucky enough to stumble upon the place. He was sure the food would be great, no, more than great.

Slowly his thoughts wavered back to the two boys. One boy seemed to live in the moment, the other planning for the future. Strange how different they were, and yet he supposed it wasn't so strange given all his previous affiliates and their partners who more than 'didn't like each other'. Unlike most people, Reborn had simply hopped down onto the table and sat on an edge, facing them. He smiled just a little as he thought of this before he heard their questions, well question.

What did he mean by he worked for the village? Good question. There were a lot of answers to that... A mafia? No, no, that identity was reserved for others. The Raikage's advisor? Perhaps, but it wasn't good to let that out too openly either. A ninja...? Why not? Technically he was one even if he didn't bear Kumo's symbols or anything.

"I'm a ninja..." he answered simply and honestly. He turned his attention to the resturant in question and found himself growing more and more hungry as well. Fooood. He was sooo hungry, but he otherwise gave no real signs of it. "And as to what kind of ninja... far more advanced than you two currently are, although with training you two can easily surpass your peers and myself," he added quietly, pulling a small hankerchief out of his pocket and now polishing the gun form of Reon faintly.
