Outfit: - Spoiler:
[/spoiler] Gender: Female Skill Level: B Ninja Rank: Chuunin Village: Konohagakure Birthplace: Amegakure Previous Village: Amegakure Clan/Bloodline: Retsuido Personality: Kaede is what would be considered as calm yet constantly on edge. She is the type of person who worries about allot of things but doesn't let anyone know she does. Kaede is rather shy at times and seams to not like to speak to people excluding her older sister Lucy. Because of her life Kaede is somewhat frightened of men and believes to a small extent that all of them are like her father though part of her believes the exact opposite. She is devoted to her clan and will do anything she needs to in order to maintain it's reputation and preserve it. When in battle Kaede can become very serious and as such will do anything to win. Unlike her sister, Kaede views most people as valuable in some way even if only a small one. She is very shy and even when in the beginning stages of battle can come across as so. Goals: 'To become strong, be able to protect Lucy and the village. Alignment: Neutral Canon Personality: Hinata, Shikamaru, a tidbit of Naruto. Skill Specialty: Ninjutsu Taijutsu Dominant: Ninjutsu Recessive:Taijutsu Elemental Affinity: Suiton Dominant:Suiton Recessive: History: - Spoiler:
Kaede was born as the second of two children, the first being her sister Lucy who was old then her by around a year and a half. She was born within the bleak and rainy village of Amegakure no sato to a loving father and mother. The small family of four lived in poverty and had to work very hard to maintain enough financial safety to survive. The father began to work much harder and was hardly ever home to see his family and because of this the mother always had to bring the two infant children to work with her thus complicating her job allot. Things only became worse after a while as the mother became extremely ill. Due to the poverty the family suffered from medical was impossible to afford and eventually the women died.
The family grieved for the loss of their mother and soon after the lives of the two girls began to become harsh. Their father began to drink and when in his drunken state would come home and lash out, out of both depression and anger. He hated that his wife had died and hated how much his two daughters looked just like her. Despite the loss of one of four family members the poverty the familiy suffered was worsened over time due to the father's drinking habits.
Things soon spread out of control as the father would try to beat on Kaede and would instead wind up beating on Lucy due to her protecting her sister. This lead to the father targeting Lucy only as his daily outlet for his anger. The beatings went on for years, Kaede becoming more and more isolated from other children, not wanting her horrible father to be found out and not wanting to be pitied. The beatings continued on for years until finally the father had taken it to far and had attacked Lucy again. Kaede had gone to the defense but had been beaten and Lucy began to fight again, harder and harder. Soon the father became tired of what he was doing and upon hitting Lucy extremely hard, left the two alone.
the night ended and the sun came up for the next day. Kaede tended to Lucy's wounds and Lucy plotted ways to kill their father. She figured that she would just wait for the drunken fiend to come home and wait till he had fallen into an alcoholic slumber. That would surely be the easiest way to handle him, but deep inside her heart, Lucy really wanted to kill the bastard while he was awake. She wanted him to know it was her taking his life. She wanted him to see her face, the face that he hated so much. After much though she had decided how she would kill him and she shared her thoughts with her sister. Kaede, being who she was had nothing to say to this and knew that Lucy was angry and had ever right to be. She knew something needed to be done before the two of them were the ones to died and so, promising to help any way she could Kaede continued to wrap the wounds without another word.
With the plan made the two girls waited for their father to come home. As expected the man came home late and as usual, drunk. The two pretended to be asleep when he came in. Luckily he wasn't in a very angry mood and just moved on, believing they were asleep. After eating something he went to his room to sleep and when the girls knew he was asleep they got up and grabbed the knives the had hidden away for this occasion. Sneaking down towards their fahter's room the two entered silently and quietly, moving toward the drunken sleeping man the two stopped, Lucy with a glare in her eyes filled with hatred and Kaede with the hatred she held still strembing at the thought of actually killing someone. Unable to kill her father Kaede began to cry slightly and dropped the knife to the floor, this woke the man up slightly and taking her only chance Lucy went. Lunging towards the man she moved her knife to stab in teh gut and did so, he looked up at instantly awake but still in his dais. Reaching his hand out towards her Lucy pulled and twisted the knife in reaction. Noticing the man's smile not to be sadistic in nature but rather loving, the hatred faded from Lucy's eyes as she looked at her father. Her father looked at her and said he was proud of the two of them and was sorry. Lucy soon collapsed on the ground and cried with Kaede joining her there, both in tears.
Upon the rising of the next day's sun the two girls decided to go and turn themselves in for punishment for the crime they had committed. Both felt horrible about what they had done but not quite as bad as she had when the crime had been done, she knew he had deserved it at the time and though he had smiled at them and said he was proud, she part of her still thought he deserved what he got. They traveled to the Retsuido headquarters, which was located within the center of the Rain Village. They brought their fathers badge as proof of their actions and awaited punishment. At first the other members didn't think much of the two girls, or even believe that they could have done what they had claimed to have done. But once their reports were taken and their home was searched, there was no denying it. These two girls had killed their father and they had felt terrible about it. News of this traveled through the Retsuido branch and soon enough reached Urza, the leader of the Retsuido clan, as well as of Amekage. He himself knew their father and his rank within the clan. Being this he went to visit the girls, who were still being held at the Retsuido clan center.
Within a few momnets of receiving the news of the murder of his fellow clansmen by his own daughters, Urza arrived at the center. He read the reports on the girls from what they had said and even interviewed the two individually and together. His interest was captured by them while he talked to them and he had no doubt that their story was true. But even he found that it was remarkable that these two girls, who were no older then six or seven, could stand such a life like that of what he heard. He could tell that these girls would grow up to become something special. This being the case he told the girls that despite what they had done, he was not going to punish them. In fact he was going to take them in and give their father a proper burial. This cheered up Kaede a tiney itsy-bitsy bit but didn't seem to phase Lucy very much. She just stared at Urza with empty eyes. It was with that stare that Urza figured out that it was Lucy who was the one who had actually done the deed. He knew that she needed to be stirred. He would have to motivate her and give her a reason to live, because her eyes told him that she had already given up.
After the funeral, the girls moved in with Urza and began to settle in. After they had settled in he began to try to gain their trust. After a short time the girls began to accept Urza and even Lucy had began to look at life in a different way. After about, a year of living with him, Uzra enrolled the two girls in the ninja academy, where they would learn how to become shinobi, as most Retsuido clan members did. By this point the girls had begun to treat Urza like their father and he in turn treated them like his daughters. He taught them about their clan and its history in Amegakure. While at the academy they learned the basics of being a shinobi. Lucy really was sucked in by the lore of her clan and their involvement within Ame as was Kaede to a degree. Lucy’s love and complete devotion to her clan and Kaede caused the younger girl to become completely devoted to Lucy, doing anything and going to any lengths to satisfy the older girl. She would learn everything she could and become strong, just like Urza and just like Lucy, this was Kaede’s resolve. They had been given a second chance at life, and with it they would become the best shinobi they could be.
After a few years, the two girls had graduated from the academy and began their lives as genin. Being that they were both sisters and graduated with around similar makes, Lucy's being slightly higher then Kaede's due to her obsessive drive to become strong and Kaede’s lack of being able to hold information in her brain for longer then three days without excessive study; they were placed in the same squad together and were placed under the tutorship of Urza himself. Despite the two girls being his adopted daughters, Urza did not hold back at all when training them. He made it very clear to them that if they wanted to become strong and move up in the world, then they were going to have to work hard and earn it. The girls did as they were told and despite the obstacles place before them, they fought on. Soon enough Urza began teaching them about their unique power known as Soshisoujuu and about Renkinjutsu and how it was the main source of how they controlled it. The girls made sure that the paid very close attention to him and worked constantly on it. Lucy managed to catch on quickly to both their kekkei genkai and the art of Renkinjutsu. It was clear that she was meant to be a shinobi and even more so, a Retsuido. Kaede however took a little bit longer to get the actual told information drilled into her head, often staying up late nights to work on memorizing it all.
As the two girls continued to grow, it became time for them to take themselves to the next level in the shinobi world. They had to enroll in the Chunnin Exams and they had to pass. Luckily that year the exams were held in Amegakure so they didn't have to travel to any of the other villages. The two girls were placed with a third squad member, who had been a genin longer then they had and even participated in the chunnin exam previously. This gave them a slight advantage in what to expect to a degree. Their third team member, Souta Arnaseki, told them that the first time he took the test was in Konoha and involved three parts to it. A written and a survival. Sadly he failed the year before during the second part of the exam and was unsure of what the third part consisted of.
- Spoiler:
When the exam was about to start, security within Amegakure had become pushed to the extreme, which was mainly because of the large number of people that were coming into Ame. It was shocking of the amount of diversity among the participating genin teams as well. There was no doubt that Lucy and Kaede would have their work cut out for them in this exam. They would just have to work together and as long as they did that, they would be able to stay strong and pass. With that in mind they walked into the exam room for the first part of the exam, which they found out would be a written test that would test their knowledge as shinobi.
Kaede was now very worried, she was aweful with written exams and knew that very well. A written test was a test of intelligence, a test of how well a person could learn, retain and retrieve information and how well one could get an answer through other means. This was not one of Kaede`s strong suites. Hopefully the survival test would be easier, Kaede had chickened out when killing her father as a child and had no intention of doing so during these exams, it was to kill or be killed, trust only your teammates and no one else. This was obvious and Kaede would do her best to stay alive, and keep her teammates alive.
All of the teams were separated in a large auditorium and sent to sit at pew like things but with desks, as if at a univercity. The Chuunin proctor at the time explained the rules, the penalties if caught cheating and so forth. it was blah blah blah to Kaede, went in one ear, took the direct route through her brain and out the other ear, like a car on a one way street. She already had a plan on how she was going to deal with the test. She looked around herself to see who might cheat on her. She recognized a few people, some of who were intelligent enough on there own and were the least concerns in her mind. She saw a few characters that she didn't reconize, some of them wearing mask, others hood to cover themselves, goggles or sunglasses. It was like sitting in a room playing poker. Place bets everyone, place bets. Kaede knew the basic rules for poker and wasn’t all that bad at it herself. She knew that even with eyewear on it would be noticeable to at least some extent if someone cheated. The papers were passed out; the pencils were already set in everyone's hand. The time limit was set, which both sisters thought was ridiculous by the way, ten minutes to complete a test. This gave every reason to cheat if one doesn't know what they are looking at. Then it began. Pencils began to click on the paper, some were scratching away like a madwoman scatching out a lottery ticket, others ticking there pencils on the table and was slightly irradiating those around them. Glancing over oh so slightly to see her sister, Kaede grinned a little, she had done the classic drop the pencil on the floor thing. Knowing Lucy as well as she did Kaede knew the was to annoy the ones trying to cheat and not to cheat herself. Unknown to Kaede, Lucy did a few handseals quick enough so that the proctor wouldn't see it, or maybe didn't pretend to look. She grabbed her pencil off the ground and began back at the questions
A few seconds went by, then ten, then fifteen, then twenty, then twenty-five seconds. After about thirty seconds, Lucy pointed two fingers at the paper as if she wasn't getting the last problem but that was the kai. There was a silent pause for a second. One of the men whom was wearing shaded goggles was looking up at Lucy. He was sitting just two rows behind her. Thanks to the lack of inspections of any personal objects, they didn't suspect that the goggles that he said were presciption. The idiots. And so was the girl. She should've known that she would be a target, looking around to see who was around her. That's what idiot smart people do and she was helping him pass the test with ease. He had been looking at Lucy's team for quite awhile now. Never thought he was going to look at her though, she was devoloping nicely, even from his point of view. Oh yes, the answers. She had them all written down, so nice and neat too for him to copy. Thank you he thought to himself, thank you for being a stupid cu...
The glass around his glasses began to fog up. The sudden temperature from the reading of his goggles said negative twelve degrees celicus and lowering. The glasses began crack open and as the boy was ready to take off the glasses, his eyes began to loose light. He was grabbing at him, thrusting around to try and grip at the back of his head but it was sealed shut by something cold. It was ice. The ice had frozen the back of his straps. He couldn't take it off. He beginning to yell, frantically trying to remove the blasted thing. It was useless in Lucy's mind as she turn around to see her victim. She looked in a falsetto awe as people were turning around to see this event. The proctors were rushing towards the boy who was screaming in agony in pain, shouting "I CAN'T SEE!!! OH GOD I CAN"T SEE!! HELP ME, HELP ME!!". The pain was getting intense as the water in his eyes began to freeze, reaching it's way into the retina, the sclera and all the way back to the optic chiasm where the optic center for site took place. He would be blind for the rest of his life.
Kaede knew exactly who had been the cause of this boy`s pain and after a few seconds of watching decided to take her chance, glancing quickly over to both papers at either side of her, Kaede jotted down the answers to the questions she hadn`t known and finished the test. The while trying not to burst out into laughter. keeping her head low and eyes down on her paper as the boy cried and screamed and lost his sight for ever. Though Kaede thought it was unnecessary it did seam rather funny to her. he proctors then escorted the frozen head boy and his comrades out of the room. The chunin proctor yelled at everyone to get back to work for there wasn't enough time. Or there was time alright, Lucy and Time were lovers right now, making this test more interesting than it should have been, even to Kaede.
The first exam was soon over with, only 30 people remained that being 12 teams in all. During the incident caused by Lucy many had been taken out by the proctors. Kaede walked over to Lucy, asking her if she was the one who made that guy blind. She already knew the answer, she just wanted to hear it from her. Lucy upper lip rose just a tad bit and then walked over to the registration area to sign her waiver. Kaede smiled and followed straight behind with Kouta trailing not really wanting to know if the Lucy did it or not. All he knew was that she never displayed that before until now and quite honestly, he was scared for everyone else who would deal with her in the coming rounds.
The second exam was something everyone knew of the way to separate the week from the strong, to weed out the week ones. This exam would take place in Amegakure`s version of the forest of death. . The deadliest of creatures that resided in rain country followed by the endless amounts of rainforest that came with it. Kaede, Lucy and Kouta stared at the madness with the intent of only one thing in mind and that was to surivive. The rule was simple, they had three days to obtain both scrolls: Rain and Snow. If anyone were to open the scrolls without having the other, they would be disqualifed. They could not enter the final round without these scrolls and if they did not have the scrolls on those three days, they would be disqualifed. Plain and simple. Lucy did her scan around again. Oh, there was the man with the team that wore there hoods constantly, why always hoods? This question went through Kaede`s head as Lucy continued her scan.
The teams were them split up to different sections around the guarded forest and were sent into the forest all at once. The scroll that Kaede`s team had was the rain scroll and was safeguarded by Kouta as agreed by the three. He felt that because the last time he failed the survival test, it was because the one person he was once teams with lost the scroll, he couldn't trust it anyone else again. Kaede didn't mind but Lucy was a bit hesistant. Trust issues were something they had to deal with. Saying that, made her feel untrustworthy. She blew him off with a wave and waited for the bell to go of to let them in. When it did, a few minutes later, everyone rushed in, even Lucy who went a bit head first. She had a stoic look on her face because she was determined to get a snow scroll. She wasn't afraid of the forest, bare in mind, but she was also protective of her little sister and request like that made her determined to go after that goal. Kouta asked her to slow down but Lucy already had the look, determine to find anyone who was deemed worthless in her eyes. The weakest, she thought, the weakest we'll go after. Kaede knew her sister well and at her own discretion stayed behind with Kouta, as Lucy sped foreword, she was Lucy and there was noting going to change that. Though the team had only been together for a short time something began to happen rather quickly and unexpectedly for Kaede, she began to fall in love with Kouta. This embarrassed the young girl who said nothing to anyone including Lucy, though it was blatantly obvious by the facts that she kept blushing around him and would stay witk Kouta instead of super speedily persuading Lucy. Lucy`s thoughts were of killing the ones she deemed unworthy and not the week ones which Kaede could guess easily enough and that bothered the younger of the two as she moved behind with Kouta right beside her.
But in the eyes of the hooded shinobi, there minds were set on hunting down Lucy's team. Minds set to kill, not torture, not mane; Kill. The leader, the taller male individual already had there scent on the trail. A tracker, a advance student at it most. It wasn't hard to find someone who lusted after killing the weak. The hunter being hunted the female voice said in the hood. Both of them agreed, the man in the mask laughed just a bit. He was hoping maybe it wont be so bad of a challenge. He was waiting for one and it's been a long time since he had a kill. Ever since their first mission. The thrill of the rush was oh so pleasnt. He was waiting to get that high. The leader only told him to be patient. If he anticipating too much, he'll loose that sense of gratification in the end. He said to let it build up slowly like a explosion. He calmed himself as they jumped from tree branch to tree branch.
Each of the teams could hear every other teams screams as they went closer and closer into the forest. Kouta espicially as they were running closer to set goal. They haven't yet got a snow scroll but it was bound to happen. With Lucy and Kaede on there side, Lucy espicially, there was probably nothing that could stop them. They could probably get this sooner than tree days since it was still midday. He was betting that some would try to get it sooner than others, others would try and wait it out and try to get the scrapings. Kouta couldn't see her eyes but he could tell that she wanted the kill fresh. Kaede was just the same, just as determine as her big sister. Maybe they had a chance to...
Lucy made a quick shift to the left and downward to the ground, Kaede did the same as though they were one being, Kouta was getting caught in the moment and took a sharp left to the ground. Did she spot something already? Lucy and Kaede disappeared in a shrub of bushes and went was silently moving across. Kouta landed on the ground just short of the bushes. Lucy and Kaede stopped moving, now moving slower and staring forward. Both of them saw the same thing. They saw a group who had already gotten there share of the prize. Both rain and snow. They were about the average shinobi, probably getting lucky from the spoils of a the first few hours of carnage. Two of them had there back turns, facing the tree westward. Both of them were gloating, talking about some mundane thing that didn't particularly interest either of the sisters. The other was sitting on a dead body. From the looks of the body, it had already been dead. The forest was well aware of intruders and well ready to fight, kill and decay them as soon as possible. He was eating some food. He yelled back at his two teammates to shut up, with a bit more profanity than he should. He looked no older than Kaede but definitely younger than Lucy.
Kaede looked at Lucy. Lucy already had that glare in her eyes that was saying that she was going to get the first two unaware. Lucy had the speed on her and the two were definitely distracted. Kaede was going to play it safe by attacking the boy sitting on the body. There was a twitch, such a slight twitch with one of the boy eating food. He took in a sip of what looked to be ramen noodles. Kaede rushed forward and so did Lucy, Lucy was already up where the two boys were at. The boy sitting on the body tried to jump back but Kaede had already pulled out a kunai and threw it at his head where it reaches it's target hitting the front of his neck. Kaede walks over slowly and smiles a little as she watches the blood drip down the boys neck. Moving her nad slightly towards it she pushes it in farther and the boy flinches, somehow he is still alive and she`s going to take the opportunity and mess with him a little, try to be like Lucy. Continuing the girl moves the kunai in and out, around in little circles that just move it slightly but not out of place. This is kind of fun in a twisted Freddy meets Jason and they both get high kind of way. Kaede enjoys this sensation a little bit as she continues till the boy is finally dead and slumps to the ground. The two other shinobi standing turned around, getting themselves into an attack position, watching Lucy was moving in very edgy and swift movement. Lucy had already conjured the ninjutsu she had in store. She leaps forward, hands extended out to grab at the boys faces. There eyes widen and they were raising there hands with the kunai already out to block but Lucy got to there faces first. The sudden grab jerked them backwards and in that instant the sound of flesh being rubbed together quickly began to radiate in Lucy's ear. The face of these victims were beginning to burn, smoke arising from there faces. The screams were muffled as there eyes burst in there sockets. It was only a few seconds, just a few seconds after the muffled screams turned silent. The girl's had a moment, a moment of momentous awesomeness, one of those moments where everything is perfect and everything around you goes un-noticed.
A kunai intercepted the reunion as it split in the middle of the two. Both Lucy and Kaede stopped and turned to see the trajectory of the kunai. It came from south. Kaede yelled "Show yourself!". The bushes then rustle a little bit but Lucy and Kaede heard something else. He heard a bit of heavy breathing and clapping. The clapping was coming from the man in the hood, clapping slowly like a man ready to start a larger audience of clapping. When him, the masked hood and the woman hood walked out, the man stopped clapping. In the masked hood hand, there was a body. Blood soaked and torn, why did it look like Kouta?. The headband with the signature of his name on the metal part just off the left side was definitely his. Lucy knew from the moment of that headband got in her view that it was Kouta. There was a slight irritation with that sight. If they were thinking of using his body or using him as a shield to protect themselves... While Lucy was annoyed by the sight Kaede was in shock or something like it. Thoughts ran through her head over and oer again, Kouta was dead and she couldn't do anthing about it, the one she loved to the point of embarrassment was now dead.
Rage boiled itself deep down within her heart, the pit of her stomech felt empty but like it was going to implode on her. Reacting as expected she stood there, motionless as she stared at the dead body of her love. A gurgling sound came from Kouta, a sound of blood that backflowd out of his mouth and dripping down to the ground was a gruesome sight. Eyes fixated on both Kouta and then the blood on the ground, his blood. Kaede's mind raced with questions and possible things she already knew. These people were not in it for the torture but mearly to kill, just for the sport of it. The people, all three of them seamed to be in some kind of twisted high induced by teh kill, it was a drug for them and they had gotten their fix for the five minutes it had lasted.
Lucy had gone after the leader after having killed the masked one with a kunai. Kaede on the other hand rushed towards the female of the group, eyes filled with tears but blazing as if on fire. This bitch had to die and she would make sure of it no matter the cost, revenge for Kouta was the only thing on her mind.
Grabbing a kunai from her kunai holster Kaede would look at the women, furious at her for enjoying the death of the man she had loved. She wanted the women to suffer to such a large extent it scared her a little. Bringing the kunai in front of her she went and cut the women’s are on the side, the women had dodged it and fought back with all her might. This wouldn’t be enough to stop the angered shinobi as she brought the kunai towads the women once more, this time hitting her left eye and knocking down the hood from her face. This women had brown hair tied back that wasn’t any longer then her shoulders, her brown eyes filled with tears and terror as the kunai hit the left one, pulling the kunai out with the eye following suit and stuck to the kunai the women would real back and scream, clutching where her left eye used to be. Removing the eye from the kunai with her fingers Kaede would twirl it in them for a second, looking at it as she grinned sadistically, she was becoming worse then her sister in this certain instant. Finally, after a few seoncd the girl would drip the eye and lift her foot, placing it slowly onto the eye as it squished and broke into tiny peaces. Stopping for a second, Kaede would briefly look towards where her sister had been fighting, the ground had shaken and destracted the other women to enough of an extent that Kaede could pin her and did just that. Taking out her kunai once more the girl would being to slice across the arm that was held along with her body by thin wiring. Soon enough the arm would be severed from the body and loud screams would come once more from the women, then the fingers of the other arm, one by one they would fall to the ground bloody and disgusting. Then the arm till the women finally died, died of terror and blood loss. This was sasdistic and Kaede knew it, regaining her own sanity Kaede would look at the partially dismembered body of the women and smile before beginning to cry, removing herself from the body and over to a bunch of bushes the girl would begin to throw up, just a bit but enough to remind her that she was not one of the strong fighters like her sister. Soon the two remaining teammates would head toward the final stage, the one they knew nothing about.
The captain of Lucy's team sat in dismay as he heard the news about Kouta. The words damn and shit came out of his mouth many, many times. Lucy kept track of his random outburst. She should feel a bit awful, maybe remorseful perhaps. Perhaps she should at least shed one or two tears. Lucy could of at least shown just a few miniscule specs of some type of remorse since it was a bit of her fault for leaving him behind and letting him get killed as such but then again, wouldn't it not be his fault for not being the more alert shinobi and try to survive. At least put up a fight, at least go down with the spirit to defend or kill. Survival of the fittest. Lucy's mind was already at a wander, she lack the time and the patience to be bothered with such trivial matters. Ever since the day Kaede and herself killed. Similar to Lucy, Kaede could shed no tears for her fallen comrade, this was for a different reason. She had already cried for him durring the fight, screamed and cried for him, killed for him, not just for revenge for him but because she loved him. She wanted so bad to cry, to feel something at this time, but nothing would let her feel anything at all. Her eyes were blank as she and Lucy continued on towards the tower, blank and emotionless for the first time ever.
A day and a half went by, it was then that there were a few shinobi teams that were left. The forest-o-death as many genin called it, literally destroyed the competition by almost 3/4, leaving just the sprinkle of genin teams that were left to finish the last part of this years chunin exams. Now, by default and how the rules were explain was surprisingly awkward but nothing along the lines as a shocker. By now, the genin whom have enter the room have a very high chance of becoming chunin because this was a one on one fight that would determine whether they were exceptionally good in becoming chunin. Now, the surprising thing about this is that even if the person were to win, that did not mean specifically they would become chunin. It was up the leaders of the time to determine if they were acceptable or not. When the rules were explain to the remaining genin teams, they were assigned who each person was going to fight. Chosen randomly, Lucy was planning on facing a shinobi who hailed from Sunagakure. Kaede’s apponent was a boy from Tsukigakure named Koji.
Glancing over her shoulder to where the boy was Kaede was able to get a good look at him. He was very muscular, almost three times her size, a giant it seamed. He was tanned, extremely well built and was probably pretty slow due to his size. In speed she had him outmatched but not in strength.
The fights would proceed and Kaede was third to fight in the parings. This would have to be quick and she would have to be fast if she were going to win. Stepping into the arena Kaede would look at the burly man standing in front of her several steps away. The announcer then stated the rules one last time for the two fighters and stepped away permitting the battle to begin.
Kaede would wait, standing absolutely still awaiting the movements of her opponent, annoyingly enough he did the same. Kaede was stumped so she did what she felt and made the first more. Taking a kunai in hand she threw it quickly at Koji and he reacted with a simple move of his hand, catching the kunai which only did a little bit of damage, a mere scrape on his hand. Taking this as the first move Koji moved his hand with the kunai and threw it right back, with extreme force behind it, this caused the kunai’s speed to escalate and move towards Kaede at an alarming rate. Moving somewhat quickly Kaede avoided the kunai as best she could without giving away too much about herself and the kunai hit the wall, but not before drawing blood from Kaede’s arm. Taking this as a nice little sign to actually get a little serious Kaede moved and grabbed another kunai, looping some wire within the hole in the handle she threw the kunai once again, and yet again Koji tried to catch it. Moving her hand quickly before it could be noticed, the kunai moved to the side and stuck into a wall, just as planned.
Koji was now getting annoyed at how long this was taking to fight this small thin girl and thus, he rushed in like an idiot, making his way towards Kaede as she expected. He threw her leg up to kick her and hse grabbed it with both hands cause it was just that strong and large, the man then went from the side to punch to Kaede and landed quite a hard blow right into the side of her head. Releasing his food she began to stumble backwards, one hand on her head where blood now dripped towards the ground. Kaede looked at Koji who had a large grin on his face as a frown spread across hers. He hten spoke much to her surprise “So….your my opponent, they set me up with a week little girl?” he asked/stated in annoyance. A small grin spread across Kaede’s face as she thought of something to reply with “So, looks like it can speak…..and here I thought that thick oversized skull of yours was hollow, not even any air in there. Guess I was wrong huh.” She stated mockingly. This caused Koji’s face to go red as he replied with something that took it a bit too far “Well at least my whole team made it here.” He stated angrily but matter-of-factly. Kaede`s eyes widened and she stood up, rushing towards him, hand outstretched wit ha kunai it in yet again. As a reaction Koji withdrew his arm and flung it foreword, nailing her directly in the stomach with an unnaturally hard blow and sending Kaede flying backwards. Blood going out of her mouth as she went backwards. Landing on the ground Kaede looked up, coughing up more blood into the grond as she did so. Koji was strong there was no doubt about it.
Standing up she threw the kunai that had been in her hand towards him once more but he dodged it and it hit a wall on the opposite side of the first one, this one too had wire attached to it that Koji failed to notice. Having no other choice but to; Kaede spit out more blood into her hands. This was not good, she was loosing already. Lifting herself up off the ground, Kaede looked at her enemy while formulating a plan within her head. Moving herself quickly she went, moving away from him, two kunai in hand as she did so. Throwing both kunai towards each side that had not already had kunai at the walls, each with wires attaced to them. Each kunai struck the wall now, four in all one on each side of the burly male. Finally, pulling one of the wires with her finders the trap would enclose. Koji was now trapped within four metal wires which would cut into his skin, spilling his blood as they do so.
Koji looked down to find what had happened, he was now angry beyond belief and annoyed at the fact he hadn’t noticed what was happening. Moving towards him she stopped, just out of his reach before hainv to cough up more blood, she was now dangerously low on blood and was exhausted, she had to end it quickly. Moving herself down the ground she would begin to draw, she drew the strange little circle used by her clan to do their special kind of jutsu. Infusing chakra into the circle she would draw it over her blood which was now in a pool on the ground. The blood would move towards Koji, slowly but surely it would continue foreword till it reached him. It would then creep up towards him then up his body. Freezing as it did so, Koji let out a yelp as tears began to streak down his face, Kaede just watched before replying “You shouldn’t have said what you did.” She stated all-knowingly and eerilly calm. Kaede opened her eyes and watched him. “I….I give up, please stop please, make it stop! I give up.” Koji pleaded desperately towards Kaede. To this the proctors came in and Kaede moved her hands once more to the circle on the ground, placing them onto the drawing the creeping frozen blood would stop and stay wehre it was ready to be removed by the proctors. Having done this Kaede had used up much is not nearly all of her chakra, having used allot of it to make her steps quicker then normal for both evasion and ability to set her traps effectively. Closing her eyes the young girl’s head shifted towards her older sister’s direction and she closed her eyes and layed on the ground. One of the proctors moved her off to the side knowing she could stay where she could see the battles progress and, after a bit of medical attention from the medics she would be left to rest against a wall while the next three fights continued, most fairly uneventful. Then she would awaken.

Well they did it. The two girls managed to make it through the entirety of the chuunin exams in one piece. No. They had achieved more then just that. They had grown a little as well. They conquered every twists and turns that the path to chuunin had thrown at them and gained the reward of its title. Chuunin. It had a nice ring to it but Lucy knew that she would not stop there. She planned on one day becoming strong enough to lead her clan and Amegakure and to do that she could not stop at Chuunin. She knew that Kaede would be there, growing stronger with her till the end. Kaede knew the same thing and strived to keep up her skills They had the skill and motivation to do so and the teacher to become truly powerful kunoichi. With their new rank of chuunin, the two girls reported to Urza, to start on their training to become stronger.
The next few years the girls would train and complete new mission that would test their new skills. A life as a chuunin was very enlightening for Lucy especially. A life of a chuunin was far more exciting then that of a genin. With her new life came even greater knowledge of her kekkei genkai also. Even though Lucy and Kaede explored their unique abilities when they were genin, what they didn't know was that they were just learning the simplest of its powers. Urza helped them learn even more of their powers and put them through a series of tests that would allow them to achieve greater strength. Lucy picked up on her explored abilities much faster then Kaede did and soon enough Lucy passed by her sister in strength which caused Kaede to push even further to reach her sister’s ability with her own. Despite this the two still trained under Urza together, however when it came to missions, Lucy was often sent out with a different squad.
Soon enough the time came for Urza to test the girls on all that they had learned from his training and their missions. To do so he put them through the same test that every member of the clan goes through once they have reached a certain level of strength. This test would test their ability to use Renkinjutsu with their kekkei genkai as well as their knowledge of how it functions. This test consisted of two parts. A written exam and a field test. Unlike the chuunin exam, the written test for this composed of around 100 questions and they were to finish it within an hour. Now normally this wouldn't seem too difficult, however the questions for this test consisted of difficult chemical combinations and formulas that clan members needed to understand to best use their powers. Each question was harder and longer then the one before it and it wasn't surprising that even Lucy failed to actually finish it. Luckily they two managed to still get enough questions to move on to the next part of the test. Kaede got about 65 of the questions done before the time ran out which, as said was enough to pass on.
The field test was something that caught the two girls by surprise. The test was placed at a secret lake deep within Amegakures forests, where the clan held their field test. This was mostly to keep the village safe because one never knows how a trainees exam entry will do. Now Lucy didn't need to worry so much about this part of the test because she was excellent when it came to using her power. For her part of the exam she managed to use her skills to manipulate the water in a way that she made two water dragons rise up and form a knotted spiral of ice. This was a good entry and use of manipulation for someone go her age and would no doubt impress the leaders of the clan. Kaede's entry was also rather impressive but was a bit unstable. Her entry had been that of a human-esque looking creature made of water which resembled a cross between a human, wolf, bird and something she couldn’t quite identify, this was only a simple statue however which towered about 9-10 feet high. She showed great promise but it was clear that she still needed a bit more training before progressing to the next level. So with the abilities of the two girls examined by the elders of the clan and Urza, it was clear that Lucy was ready to progress to the next level. So with that she was granted the title of Jounin and from that point on whereas Kaede was to stay at chuunin for at least a little longer.
Life changed for the girls after Lucy was made a jounin. She was on missions more often and due to the dangers of the missions, Kaede was unable to accompany her. During this time Lucy continued to make a name for herself. She took on any mission that was presented to her and did it with absolute precision. But Lucy wasn't becoming known just for her skills in taking on difficult missions but also based on her combat skills. Her ability to kill was known by just about everyone in the clan and even in other villages. Lucy the Freezer was what she was called by many, for her cold personality and her even colder touch.
Kaede remained doing chuunin missions and on occasion a more potent mission with the help of Urza, as time progressed Lucy had begun to get a name for herself causing Kaede to want to make one for herself as well which she had yet to do.
However with great power comes even greater devotion. With the new forming alliance between Ame and Konoha, Urza has decided to prove their trust and devotion to Konoha and their alliance by assigning both Lucy and Kaede under the Hokage to assist Konoha as he sees fit. Even though Lucy and Kaede love their village, they agreed to the terms of the arrangement and with that Lucy and Kaede would be Konoha nin until stated otherwise. RP Sample: - Spoiler:
