| Name: Lucy Retsuido Nickname/Alias: Lucy the Freezer, Ame's Chishio Otome (Blood Maiden) Age: 18 Age Appearance: 18 Appearance: - Spoiler:
Attire: - Spoiler:
Gender: Female Skill Level: A Ninja Rank: Jounin Village: Konohagakure Birthplace: Amegakure Previous Village: Amegakure Clan/Bloodline: Retsuido/Soshisoujuu Personality: Lucy is a calm and quiet type of person. She usually keeps to herself and very rarely shows emotion. If she does though it is usually gloomy, solemn, lacking empathy and possibly regret. Even to her sister, Lucy seems lost and empty inside. Despite feeling like his though, Lucy does hold to her devotion to her clan. In combat she can even seem a tad over zealous, doing whatever she must to serve her clan best. She also believes greatly in the strength of her clan, often stating that their means of strength is superior and that the are to be the elites of the world. This notion leads Lucy to deems anyone she finds not to be of particular interest or use to be "trash" and therefore expendable. Though she feels this way, it is very rare for her to waste time on those she deems as "trash". Every once and a while though, Lucy tries to "clean it up", by killing those who are "trash". Another dominate aspect that Lucy has is her large amount of pride, which comes from her devotion and love for her clan. This is also seen whenever Lucy is in battle and even if she is fight "trash" she will still grant that person a full fight and will not hold back. Goals: To serve the Retsuido clan as best she can. One day be the leader of the clan. To protect her sister. Alignment: Neutral Canon Personality: Kimimaro Skill Specialty: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu Dominant: Ninjutsu Recessive: Taijutsu Elemental Affinity: Suiton Dominant: Suiton Recessive: History: - Spoiler:
Lucy was born in the damp, rainy country of Amegakure. She was born into a clan known as the Retsuido clan, which is the leading clan of Amegakure. Her parents were nothing special. Her father was a standard shinobi and a member of the Retsuido clan and her mother was a shop keep. Despite being part of the leading clan of Ame, Lucy and her family lived a life of poverty and hardship. When Lucy was around a year and a half old, her sister Kaede was born. With her family increasing in size. Lucy's parents would have to work harder for them to make due. Their father was rarely ever home and their mother often had to take the two young infant girls to work with her. This continued for a few years as the family managed to make due. But everything changed when their mother became terminally ill. Of course due to their lack of money, the family couldn't afford to get any real medical attention for their mother.
Almost a year after becoming ill, the mother finally passed, leaving just the two young girls and their father. They grieved her death as they lived on in the depressing village of Ame. Of course the family continued on like all the others who had suffered hardships in Amegakure. However, though the cost of the family decreased, their poverty didn't change. Matter of fact it became worse. The lose of their mother caused their father to sink into a deep depression. He began to drink and spend most of his time either working or at the bar, leaving the girls to try and take care of themselves. Lucy, being the older sister, often was the one to take care of the two of them. She cooked with what they had and took over any other mother duties.
Living like this of course caused the girls to mature a bit more and helped them learn how to survive with what they had, which wasn't much. But the hardships didn't stop there. As it ended up turning out, the girls father was an angry depressed drunk by this point. Late at night he would often come home after drinking and while in his drunken daze of depression and anguish, vented and lashed out at the two girls. Lucy, to protect her sister, stood up to her father and bared the beatings that came with doing so. This continued on for about two more years. Lucy made sure that the two of them survived and their father continued to suffer and in term make them suffer. Soon enough the beatings were just targeted at Lucy. Her father hated how she defied him and stood up to him. He hated how she looked at him as he struck her. Most of all. He hated how much she looked like her mother. The mere sight of Lucy reminded him of his dead wife. The women that he had fallen in love with. The women he had lost.
As the hate built up it started to spread. The two girls hated their father as much as he hated them. Lucy hated him for what he had done to their family, to their name, and Kaede hated him for harming Lucy. Soon enough the beatings became even more violent, until one day it took a new step. On the night of Lucy's seventh birthday, their father came home in an extremely foul mood. Angry and of course drunk, their father yelled and vented his depression in a rather unusual way. He seemed more crazed then usual and this put a bit more fear into the girls. To protect themselves, Kaede grabbed a knife and used it to threaten her drunken monster of a father. This just made matters worse. With barely even trying he swiped away the knife and threatened Kaede with it. Lucy, not being able to bare the thought of him harming her beloved sister, jumped on his back and started hitting him, hoping that it would do something to stop him. All it really did was turn his anger towards Lucy. He threw her off his back and made his way towards her. Kaede could do nothing but scream as she witnessed her own father make two large slices down Lucy's back with the knife. With that he stopped and walked away from her, leaving the cuts on her back to stain her shirt with blood. Kaede cried next to her not knowing if her sister would make it till morning or even if their monster of a father was done with them. As Lucy lie there she whispered something to Kaede. "I..I promise you. I will free us of this nightmare. I will kill that monster."
Hours passed and the next day came as any other day would. Kaede tended to Lucy's wounds while she decided how she was going to kill their father. She figured that she would just wait for the drunken fiend to come home and wait till he had fallen into an alcoholic slumber. That would surely be the easiest way to handle him, but deep inside her heart, Lucy really wanted to kill the bastard while he was awake. She wanted him to know it was her taking his life. She wanted him to see her face, the face that he hated so much. After much though she had decided how she would kill him and she shared her thoughts with her sister. Kaede didn't have much to say. She knew that her sister was angry with their father and she knew that something had to be done. If they didn't do something then they would be the ones who would die. This being the case she simply wrapped Lucy's wounds and told her that she would do whatever she could to help her.
With the plan made the two girls waited for their father to come home. As expected the drunk came home late and as usual, drunk. The two pretended to be asleep when he came in. Luckily he wasn't in a very angry mood and just moved on, believing they were asleep. After eating something he went to his room to sleep and when the girls knew he was asleep they got up and grabbed the knives the had hidden away. They then slowly crept to the bedroom and slowly opened the door. They found their father, asleep in a chair with a bottle of sake still in hand. They girls slowly crept towards their father. Lucy held a glare of hatred in her eyes. Kaede was shaking slightly, scared of the act that they were just about to do. She indeed had a bit of hate for her father but she was still just a young girl. She didn't have what it took to kill someone, let alone her father. With that she started to cry lightly and dropped her knife. The sound of her light crying disturbed her father a bit and he started to stir. Lucy glanced at her sister and then back at her father as the drunk opened his eyes. She knew that it was then or never and lunged forward, driving the knife into the drunks stomach. That caused their father to just about instantly wake up and as he did he saw what had happened but was too drunk to really do anything about it. His eyes slightly glazed over from sleep he looked down slightly at Lucy, who had still been holding onto the knife that was deep in his belly. He smiled and slightly as his eyes met with that of his first born. He could see the hate in her eyes. The pain and sorrow that he had put them through. He raised his hand slightly and moved towards Lucy. In reaction to this she puled out the knife slightly and twisted it. Her father coughed up some blood and continued the motion of his hand. He set his hand lightly on her head and continued to slime at her. But as Lucy looked at him, she realized that it wasn't a sadistic smile or anything but a loving one. The hate faded from her eyes as she stared back at him for a short time. With the coughing of a bit more blood came some light words. "I'm proud of you two and I'm sorry. Please take care of yourselves." With those words his hand became limp and slide to the side as his life ended. Lucy, with her eyes watering with tears, backed away from her father and collapsed to the floor. She looked at her hands, which were covered with her fathers blood. Sorrow, hate, and love overwhelmed her as she cried there on the floor and her sister was soon there with her, sharing her tears.
With the coming of the next morning, the girls decided to turn themselves in. They traveled to the Retsuido headquarters, which was located within the center of the Rain Village. They brought their fathers badge as proof of their actions and awaited punishment. At first the other members didn't think much of the two girls, or even believe that they could have done what they had claimed to have done. But once their reports were taken and their home was checked out, there was no disputing it. These two girls had killed their father and they had felt terrible about it. News of this traveled through the Retsuido branch and soon enough reached Urza, the leader of the Retsuido clan, as well as the Amekage. He himself knew their father and his rank within the clan. Being this he went to visit the girls, who were still being held at the Retsuido clan center.
He read the reports on the girls from what they had said and even interviewed the two individually and together. His interest was captured by them while he talked to them and he had no doubt that their story was true. But even he found that it was remarkable that these two girls, who were no older then six or seven, could stand such a life like that of what he heard. He could tell that these girls would grow up to become something special. Being this he told them that despite what hey had done, he was not going to punish them. In fact he was going to take them in and give their father a proper burial. This cheered up Kaede but didn't seem to phase Lucy very much. She just stared at Urza with empty eyes. It was with that stare that Urza figured out that it was Lucy who was the one who actually done the deed. He knew that she needed to be stirred. He would have to motivate her and give her a reason to live, because her eyes told him that she had already given up.
After the funeral, the girls moved in with Urza. After they had settled in he began to try to gain their trust. After a short time the girls began to accept Urza and even Lucy had began to look at life in a different way. After about a year of living with him, Uzra enrolled the two girls in the ninja academy, where they would learn how to become shinobi, as most Retsuido clan members did. By this point the girls had begun to treat Urza like their father and he in turn treated them like his daughters. He taught them about their clan and its history in Amegakure, while at the academy they learned the basics of being a shinobi. Lucy really was sucked in by the lore of her clan and their involvement within Ame. It was then that she decided that she would devote her life completely to the clan and her sister. She would learn everything she could and become strong, just like Urza. They had been given a second chance at life, and with it they would become the best shinobi they could be.
After a few years, the two girls had graduated from the academy and began their lives as genin. Being that they were both sisters and graduated with around similar makes, Lucy's being slightly higher then Kaede's due to her obsessive drive to become strong, were placed in the same squad together and were placed under the tutorship of Urza himself. Despite the two girls being his adopted daughters, Urza did not hold back at all when training them. He made it very clear to them that if they wanted to become strong and move up in the world, then they were going to have to work hard. The girls did as they were told and despite the obstacles place before them, they fought on. Soon enough Urza began teaching them about their unique power known as Soshisoujuu and about Renkinjutsu and how it was the main source of how they controlled it. The girls made sure that the paid very close attention to him and worked constantly on it. Lucy managed to catch on quickly to both their kekkei genkai and the art of Renkinjutsu. It was clear that she was meant to be a shinobi and even more so, a Retsuido.
As the two girls continued to grow, it became time for them to take themselves to the next level in the shinobi world. They had to enroll in the Chunnin Exams and they had to pass. Luckily that year the exams were held in Amegakure so they didn't have to travel to any of the other villages. The two girls were placed with a third squad member, who had been a genin longer then they had and even participated in the chunnin exam previously. This gave them a slight advantage in what to expect to a degree. Their third team member, Souta Arnaseki, told them that the first time he took the test was in Konoha and involved three parts to it. A written and a survival. Sadly he failed the year before during the second part of the exam and was unsure of what the third part portrayed of.
When the exam was about to start, security within Amegakure had become pushed to the extreme, which was mainly because of the large number of people that were coming into Ame. It was shocking of the amount of diversity among the participating genin teams as well. There was no doubt that Lucy and Kaede would have their work cut out for them in this exam. They would just have to work together and as long as they did that, they would be able to stay strong and pass. With that in mind they walked into the exam room for the first part of the exam, which they found out would be a written test that would test their knowledge as shinobi. - Spoiler:
What was for Lucy to worry about? A written test was something of a small challenge, a test of intelligence, a test of how well a person could retrieve information through memory and how well one could get an answer through other means. That wasn't the least on Lucy's mind. The survival test and the next challenges was more of a concern on her mind. Not for herself alone but for Kaede and Souta, but mostly Kaede. This wasn't something like that with her father, at least Kaede and her knew that he was coming home drunk; angry and pissed off at the sadness which build up after their mother's death. No, this was all about survival, every part of it. There were genin who were apt to kill her because that's what every genin was told before they entered the chunin exams: Trust your teammates and kill anyone to survive
Lucy glare was almost threatening. She didn't have any intentions to getting killed by a bunch of low lifes. The scum, the bastards, they were apt to kill her and Kaede and Souta. For a moment all she could see was crimson, ready to kill anyone who would touch Kaede. She had to keep her cool, don't loose it. She kept repeating that to herself over and over again. If she kept it together, she will be able to get through this. Just keep it together she kept repeating to herself. Kaede will be fine, she was fine through those years with their father, she'll be fine now. She knew a little about Kouta and he said that this was his second time, he'll survive. Right now, she had to face the first obstacle: The written exam
All of the teams were separated in a large auditorium. The chunin proctor at the time explain the rules, the penalties caught cheating and so forth and so on, it was blah blah blah to Kaede. She already had set in mind that the test was going to be difficult and she already had a plan on how she was going to deal with it. She looked around herself to see who might cheat on her. She recognized a few people, some of which were intelligent enough on there own and were the least concerns on her mind. She saw a few characters that she didn't recognize, some of them wearing mask, others hood to cover themselves, goggles or sunglasses. It was like sitting in a room playing poker. Place bets everyone, place bets. Lucy couldn't help but to chuckle. The poor suckers, all of them think they were clever into bring there eye wear or contraptions to hide there eyes into seeking onto other people. They want to play rough, oh they'll get a few licking for sure.
The paper were passed out, the pencils were already set in everyone's hand. The time limit was set, ridiculous by the way, ten minutes to complete a test. This gave every reason to cheat if one doesn't know what they are looking at. Then it began. Pencils began to click on the paper, some were scratching away like a madwoman scratching out a lottery ticket, others ticking there pencils on the table and was slightly irritating those around them. Lucy had begun writing. She wasn't aim to cheat, not by a long shot, these questions were fairly challenging, a academy student could probably figure out. She was going to agitate a few people. She answers question number eight before her hand accidentally slipped on the pencil. It fell onto the ground. The proctor gaze stared at her with just one eye. If Lucy was closer , she could probably see the cataracts the man had, all bloodshot and what not. It was truly hysterical but not something to laugh at. She leans over to grab the pencil. There was a few inches of metal that covered parts of the knee of people and then there was open space. During that short time, she did a few hand seals quick enough so that the proctor wouldn't see it, or maybe didn't pretend to look. She grabbed her pencil off the ground and began back at the questions
A few seconds went by, then ten, then fifteen, then twenty, then twenty-five seconds. After about thirty seconds, Lucy pointed two fingers at the paper as if she wasn't getting the last problem but that was the kai. There was a silent pause for a second. One of the men whom was wearing shaded goggles was looking up at Lucy. He was sitting just two rows behind her. Thanks to the lack of inspections of any personal objects, they didn't suspect that the goggles that he said were prescription. The idiots. And so was the girl. She should have known that she would be a target, looking around to see who was around her. That's what idiot smart people do and she was helping him pass the test with ease. He had been looking at Lucy's team for quite awhile now. Never thought he was going to look at her though, she was developing nicely, even from his point of view. Oh yes, the answers. She had them all written down, so nice and neat too for him to copy. Thank you he thought to himself, thank you for being a stupid cu...
The glass around his glasses began to fog up. The sudden temperature from the reading of his goggles said negative twelve degrees celsius and lowering. The glasses began crack open and as the boy was ready to take off the glasses, his eyes began to loose light. He was grabbing at him, thrusting around to try and grip at the back of his head but it was sealed shut by something cold. It was ice. The ice had frozen the back of his straps. He couldn't take it off. He beginning to yell, frantically trying to remove the blasted thing. It was useless in Lucy's mind as she turn around to see her victim. She looked in a falsetto awe as people were turning around to see this event. The proctors were rushing towards the boy who was screaming in agony in pain, shouting "I CAN'T SEE!!! OH GOD I CAN"T SEE!! HELP ME, HELP ME!!". The pain was getting intense as the water in his eyes began to freeze, reaching it's way into the retina, the sclera and all the way back to the optic chasm where the optic center for site took place. He would be blind for the rest of his life.
Lucy wanted to laugh, oh it was building up inside of her stomach, bellowing there like a burp that was just about ready to come out. But she couldn't. Not yet, she had to wait till this finish. She had to wait before this was over. It was like waiting for dinner after a long and hard day, it would be worth the while later on. The proctors then escorted the frozen head boy and his comrades out of the room. The chunin proctor yelled at everyone to get back to work for there wasn't enough time. Or there was time alright, Lucy and Time were lovers right now, making this test more interesting than it. She looked at the chunin proctor who was standing at the bottom of the auditorium. She couldn't tell if he was gazing at her with anger or if it was a gaze of sadistic pleasure. Either way, it was fun to her.
With the written exam over, there was only twelve squads left, thirty people in all. Kouta wasn't kidding when they said that this chunin proctor was the hardest. Amidst all of the attention that happen during the frozen blindness Lucy placed on the pitiful boy, the watchmen were taking out people, left and right. What a waste of a time for those people, sad they had to go but the competition was now getting bit more lethal. Kaede walked over to Lucy, asking her if she was the one who made that guy blind. She already knew the answer, she just wanted to hear it from her. Lucy upper lip rose just a tad bit and then walked over to the registration area to sign her waiver. Kaede smiled and followed straight behind with Kouta trailing not really wanting to know if the Lucy did it or not. All he knew was that she never displayed that before until now and quite honestly, he was scared for everyone else who would deal with her.
The second test, the test of survival was another way to pick out the cream of the crop and everyone knew it. There in Amegakure was their forest of death. The deadliest of creatures that resided in rain country followed by the endless amounts of rainforest that came with it. Kaede, Lucy and Kouta stared at the madness with the intent of only one thing in mind and that was to survive. The rule was simple, they had three days to obtain both scrolls: Rain and Snow. If anyone were to open the scrolls without having the other, they would be disqualified. They could not enter the final round without these scrolls and if they did not have the scrolls on those three days, they would be disqualified. Plain and simple. Lucy did her scan around again. Oh, there was the man with the team that wore there hoods constantly. She could barely see anything other than the lower parts of there chins, one of those genin had mask on, Lucy could tell with just the shade of black over his lip. Everyone was talking about that group after the written exam was over, saying how mysterious they were. Kouta was saying that they are a group of genin over from Kirigakure. Lucy only said it was just the hype they had with there god awful style of fashion. Gaudy as hell if one were to ask her seriously. Kaede only remarked that she wanted to get this out of the way soon, she shivers at the sight of creepy things.
The teams were them split up to different sections around the guarded forest and were sent into the forest all at once. The scroll that Lucy's team had, the rain scroll was safeguarded with Kouta. He felt that because the last time he failed the survival test, it was because the one person he was once teams with lost the scroll, he couldn't trust it anyone else again. Kaede didn't mind but Lucy was a bit hesitant. Trust issues was something they had to deal with. Saying that made her feel untrustworthy. She blew him off with a wave and waited for the bell to go of to let them in. When it did, a few minutes later, everyone rushed in, even Lucy who went a bit head first. She had a stoic look on her face because she was determine to get a snow scroll. She wasn't afraid of the forest, bare in mind, but she was also protective of her little sister and request like that made her determine to go after that goal. Kouta asked her to slow down but Lucy already had the look, determine to find anyone who was deem worthless in her eyes. The weakest, she thought, the weakest we'll go after.
But in the eyes of the hooded shinobi, there minds were set on hunting down Lucy's team. Minds set to kill, not torture, not mane; Kill. The leader, the taller male individual already had there scent on the trail. A tracker, a advance student at it most. It wasn't hard to find someone who lusted after killing the weak. The hunter being hunted the female voice said in the hood. Both of them agreed, the man in the mask laughed just a bit. He was hoping maybe it wont be so bad of a challenge. He was waiting for one and it's been a long time since he had a kill. Ever since their first mission. The thrill of the rush was oh so pleasant. He was waiting to get that high. The leader only told him to be patient. If he anticipating too much, he'll loose that sense of gratification in the end. He said to let it build up slowly like a explosion. He calmed himself as they jumped from tree branch to tree branch.
Each of the teams could hear every other teams screams as they went closer and closer into the forest. Kouta espicially as they were running closer to set goal. They haven't yet got a snow scroll but it was bound to happen. With Lucy and Kaede on there side, Lucy especially, there was probably nothing that could stop them. They could probably get this sooner than tree days since it was still midday. He was betting that some would try to get it sooner than others, others would try and wait it out and try to get the scrapings. Kouta couldn't see her eyes but he could tell that she wanted the kill fresh. Kaede was just the same, just as determine as her big sister. Maybe they had a chance to...
Lucy made a quick shift to the left and downward to the ground, Kaede did the same as though they were one being, Kouta was getting caught in the moment and took a sharp left to the ground. Did she spot something already? Lucy and Kaede disappeared in a shrub of bushes and went was silently moving across. Kouta landed on the ground just short of the bushes. Lucy and Kaede stopped moving, now moving slower and staring forward. Both of them saw the same thing. They saw a group who had already gotten there share of the prize. Both rain and snow. They were about the average shinobi, probably getting lucky from the spoils of a the first few hours of carnage. Two of them had there back turns, facing the tree westward. Both of them were gloating, talking about some mundane thing that didn't particularly interest Lucy. The other was sitting on a dead body. From the looks of the body, it had already been dead. The forest was well aware of intruders and well ready to fight, kill and decay them as soon as possible. He was eating some food. He yelled back at his two teammates to shut up, with a bit more profanity than he should. He looked no older than Kaede but definitely younger than Lucy.
Kaede looked at Lucy. Lucy already had that glare in her eyes that was saying that she was going to get the first two unaware. Lucy had the speed on her and the two were definitely distracted. Kaede was going to play it safe by attacking the boy sitting on the body. There was a twitch, such a slight twitch with one of the boy eating food. He took in a sip of what looked to be ramen noodles. Kaede rushed forward and so did Lucy, Lucy was already up where the two boys were at. The boy sitting on the body try to jump back but Kaede had already pulled out a kunai and threw it at his head where it reaches it's target hitting the front of her neck. Two other shinobi standing turned around, getting themselves into a attack position, watching Lucy was moving in very edgy and swift movement. Lucy had already conjured the ninjutsu she had in store. She leaps forward, hands extended out to grab at the boys faces. There eyes widen and they were raising there hands with the kunai already out to block but Lucy got to there faces first. The sudden grab jerked them backwards and in that instant the sound of flesh being rubbed together quickly began to radiate in Lucy's ear. The face of these victims were beginning to burn, smoke arising from there faces. The screams were muffled as there eyes burst in there sockets. It was only a few seconds, just a few seconds after the muffled screams turned silent.
Lucy got up from her knees and the ground. Letting go of there faces, there face was nothing more than skull. She was huffing just a little bit, a bit more chakra than she wanted for just a small little kill but seeing the insides of a skill with the brain almost mushing out of the sockets with the mixture of the eye was nothing short of pleasant. She got up to turn and check on her sister. She had grabbed both rain and sky scrolls. They were in luck and Lucy smiled at her little sister with a bit of pride. She knew she had some fight in her, just had to have a little push. Kaede smiled walking at a fast pace to her sister, Lucy did the same but the moment that they were in was just way too perfect, way too set. If Lucy saw it sooner, she would've told Kaede to stop where she was at. If she would've reacted quicker, this whole event that happen wouldn't of taken place.
A kunai intercepted the reunion as it split in the middle of the two. Both Lucy and Kaede stopped and turned to see the trajectory of the kunai. It came from south. Kaede yelled "Show yourself!". The bushes then rustle a little bit but Lucy and Kaede heard something else. He heard a bit of heavy breathing and clapping. The clapping was coming from the man in the hood, clapping slowly like a man ready to start a larger audience of clapping. When him, the masked hood and the woman hood walked out, the man stopped clapping. In the masked hood hand, there was a body. Blood soaked and torn, why did it look like Kouta?. The headband with the signature of his name on the metal part just off the left side was definitely his. Lucy knew from the moment of that headband got in her view that it was Kouta. There was a slight irritation with that sight. If they were thinking of using his body or using him as a shield to protect themselves...
A gurgling sound came from Kouta, a sound of blood that back-flowed out of his mouth and dripping down to the ground was a gruesome sight. Lucy could imagine what a few shitty ninja's like themselves would do in such a short period of time. They didn't care for torture, the way that man in the mask was shaking, he was on a all time high. His whole entire body was shaking out of ecstasy. It was annoying, so damn annoying. She could hear her laugh. No, he wasn't laughing, that was her mind thinking that he was laughing. He might have been laughing but Lucy wasn't sure. She wasn't sure of this next part either of how fast she took out a kunai and threw it at the man in the mask but it was swift. Kaede noted that she didn't even notice she took out the kunai from her back pocket.
The kunai streamed past the leader, it grazed the side of the hood, leaving a little rip. He didn't even react to it at until he heard the kunai reach contact with his comrade in the mask. He heard something split open and then a slight yelp before the masked man hit the ground, dead before he even reached it. The leader turns himself towards Lucy and Kaede, Kaede charged forward at the woman who was screaming out at her "You fucking bitch" repeatedly. The leader jumps up in the sky and so did Lucy. Lucy and the leader made contact with Lucy aiming a side kick to the chest. The leader did a mid-block but Lucy had already had a counter with that. She twist just slightly so that she could continuously kick him, with a amount of force that made the leader break his guard. He was stun and for that second, Lucy decided to go for the kill. She reached forward and grabbed the leaders head. The leaders hood came off. In that moment, Lucy would never see the true face of the person she killed but it didn't matter to her. Her eyes did not see at him but through him. All she saw was his face into the ground, with the height at which they were in, the drop on top of the leaders head would break his spine.
The ground somewhat shook, debris and dust covered that specific area. It made the woman who was facing kaede loose focus for a second. Kaede also stopped, wondering what happen to her big sister. She wanted to yell out but she had to keep her eye on the woman. She wouldn't need to worry, the woman had no intention on attacking her just yet. When the dirt, rocks and dust started to settle, the woman called out to him. She was pleading in her min that he was ok. Kaede looked at her discontently. If she wasn't worried about Lucy, she would go and attack her. Her foot shift slightly to go do so. She wasn't too much in shock like the woman and this opportunity was something that she couldn't avoid.
There was a soft and slow clatter of footsteps coming from the dust. Kaede looks over, still with a hand in her back pocket. The woman also had a hand on a kunai. She was scared, for that very moment she was terrified to know what was happening. She lost her one comrade and loosing the other, the leader of the sense would crush her. The footsteps got closer. She called out his name. When the footsteps stopped, the woman hoped that it was him. She smiled a bit and said over to Kaede that she was going to rip her to pieces now. But when the voice in the dust said "A piece of trash is going to kill one of the elites?". The woman eyes widen; shocked upon disbelieve that it was Lucy who was speaking
Rushing out of the dust, Lucy eyes glared at the shocked woman. The woman's hood came down and for that moment Lucy and that woman's eyes met. What the woman saw in her eyes was nothing she saw before. What she was what animals have when they were looking at the kill: Pure killer instinct. Lucy strikes her in the neck with a knife hand thrust. That instant, she couldn't breath and she grabbed onto her neck. Lucy then does a hard side kick to her stomach, hoping to break in the diaphragm. She was pushed back into a tree and she let out a silent gasp. What finished the woman was Lucy rushing over and then punching her continuously in the chest. Bam, bam, bam, bam. The leaves from the tree were falling as Lucy was punching the woman furiously. Bam, bam, bam, bam. Lucy stops and backs up, breathing heavily. The woman's body slide slowly down the tree. Lucy got a bit of blood on her cheek. She wiped it away from her and flung the blood on the hard ground. She goes over to Kaede and ask if she was alright. Kaede said she was fine but she was more concern about Kouta. Lucy shakes her head. She knew from that moment that he was dead. There was nothing that she could do to help him. The only reasonable thing would be to leave the body and let the forest consume him for energy. She turns Kaede around and begins walking towards the last stage of the chunin exams.
The captain of Lucy's team sat in dismay as he heard the news about Kouta. The words damn and shit came out of his mouth many, many times. Lucy kept track that his random outburst. He should feel a bit awful, maybe remorseful perhaps. Perhaps she should at least shed one or two tears. Lucy could of at least shown just a few minuscule specs of some type of remorse since it was a bit of her fault for leaving him behind and letting him get killed as such but then again, wouldn't it not be his fault for not being the more alert shinobi and try to survive. At least put up a fight, at least go down with the spirit to defend or kill. Survival of the fittest. Lucy's mind was already at a wander, she lack the time and the patience to be bothered with such trivial matters. Ever since the day Kaede and herself killed their father, such things dont affect her. The simple thought of losing someone of no importance didn't even phase the conscious. She went to a waiting room, where she sat down in a chair next to a bed where Kaede was going to rest her head for a bit. It would be another day before the next part of the exam would start so the time to relax was possible for Lucy and Kaede. But this is the shinobi world and strange things always occur. No place is safe, not even from a secure building. Lucy kept that mind.
A day and a half went by, it was then that there were a few shinobi teams that were left. The forest-o-death as many genin called it, literally destroyed the competition by almost 3/4, leaving just the sprinkle of genin teams that were left to finish the last part of this years chunin exams. Now, by default and how the rules were explain was surprisingly awkward but nothing along the lines as a shocker. By now, the genin whom have enter the room have a very high chance of becoming chunin because this was a one on one fight that would determine whether they were exceptionally good in becoming chunin. Now, the surprising thing about this is that even if the person were to win, that did not mean specifically they would become chunin. It was up the leaders of the time to determine if they were acceptable or not. When the rules were explain to the remaining genin teams, they were assign whom was going to fight. Chosen randomly, Lucy was plan on facing a shinobi who hailed from Sunagakure. Lucy looked over to find this person, Keita was his name. He was a bit taller than Lucy, not much but just a bit. Seem he was just growing. He looked mildly depressed with his eyes that were gray like fog and his bangs which covered on side of his face. His sleeves covered his entire hand as his outfit looked like a an old monks attire. Keita looked at her but quickly looked away in a bashful manner. Lucy dashed a quick smile over at him but it was not out for a positive gesture saying "good luck" it was more "You're life is truly in my hands" kind of deal but she didn't want to show it yet.
Lucy was the seventh person to fight. Kaede was the third and she did a pretty good job handling off against a shinobi that hailed from Tsuchigakure. It lasted for only a few minutes, it gave Kaede a bit of a workout but she wasn't too badly beaten up. Got a few hits here and there but she would live. That's what her and Lucy do; is survive. When it got up to Lucy, Lucy only sighed knowing that her fight would have to be so quick. She got a hunch that this person seem genuinely weak. The other two team members Keita had were the ones that appeared to have survived the forest and he was just lucky to get out with them. A few cracks on the skull, maybe a serious injury on his chest or neck would make this fight go by quickly. She was getting quite bored of this and she wanted to end it now.
She reached down on ground level. Waiting for her was the same timid and depress young boy who shyed away from her from her glance. He didn't seem so bad of a person, not by the very least. He didn't look like he killed anyone in his life, hell a fly would annoy him and he would let it annoy him cause he was timid. She was ready to go a bit easy on him, just put him in submission and call it a day but what happen next did cause a little tension to grow. Keita moved his sleeve away from his face. He smiled at her, a whole young smile that showed much of youth. He would be a handsome man in the later years but that was another story for another time. What Keita said would make Lucy rethink her battle plans
"I'm very bored..." he said in a soft and meek voice but it was low yet Lucy could hear it "I'm so bored, I almost want to cry. It's really something I don't like to do is do a lot of work at a lot of time so here is what I have to do...give up now and save me the trouble of fighting...or continue with this nonsense and I'll kill you..." He said it so matter of fact that it made Lucy raise an eyebrow.
"You have guts..." Lucy said pulling out a kunai from her back pocket "I'll admit that. You also have guts to tell me to quit or I'll die. I would be an idiot to actually get off the playing field" her felt more than confident, hell she was downright ecstatic that someone had the nerve to say that. Commendable but also downright shitty "However, I'm not planning on throwing in the towel. Not going to give you the full story but I lost way too much...so I only have two words to give you" She raised her middle finger at him "fuck off"
Keita laughed a sniveling laugh that annoyed the shit out of Lucy "Oh, I was hoping you would say something along the lines. Alright then" something slid down from his sleeve and onto the floor. It was scroll. The scroll rolled across of Keita. He knelled down and slammed his hand down on the ground. The white cloud of smoke arose, covering the are around Keita and letting out a soft breeze that passed Lucy. Lucy covered her eyes for a second but didn't loose the direction where Keita was at. He heard something clatter, like someone biting down on something wooden. What was that? Lucy jumps back and she was thankful she did cause the clatter got closer and where the spot that Lucy was standing was a spear like object pierce into the ground. Lucy had jumped and landed out of the cloud of smoke. When the smoke got blown away what stood in front of her was no longer the timid and modest Keita but a bloodthirsty boy with no name staring down at her from a ten foot puppet spider. What struck at her was a spear that came out of the mouth of the puppet spider.
"Oh shit" Lucy said out of reflex. She definitely wasn't expecting that. She didn't have time to examine the thing cause Keita was on the move. He wasn't kidding about ending the fight quickly. The spider was coming up to Lucy and fast. Lucy retreated by jumping back but another spear like projectile came out of it's mouth and raced to Lucy where it latched onto Lucy's leg. It whipped her up into the air and slammed her hard on the ground. Lucy let out a empty scream, the breath was slammed right out of her. The whip thing constricted again and swung again into a wall. The whip let go of Lucy's leg and it contracted back. Lucy, now body in shock, was getting a bit pissed off. She couldn't open one of her eyes cause there was blood sorta of agitating the eye. She wobbled herself up onto her feet. Keita was a bit surprised, she had more endurance than he predicted.
"Maybe another whipping will do for you. You don't look so good to be honest" he said cold and shrewdly. The spear came out of the spiders mouth. Lucy played the part right. Act as though she was at her limit. She pulled out two kunai's and dodged to the left. The spear went forward and out into a wall where it go stuck. A few words of disgust came out of Keita's mouth. Lucy was rushing over to the spider. He duck underneath the spider and threw two of the kunai's into the spider's abdomen. She slide underneath and out of the spiders way before saying kai. The kunais, once fooled to think they were going to be used as a weapon were now used for a bigger weapon. The explosive tags. The explosion caused parts of the wooden spider to collapse on itself, releasing out a smoke allowing Lucy to rush in and grab onto Keita. As she got on top of him, her fist collided with his face over and over again. Relentless as she was, she was stopped by the proctor saying at the match was over. The boy's face was swollen up, if they didn't put him in a stretcher into the emergency room quickly, the boy would've died due to his swollen face. Lucy felt exhausted and much in pain at that. She knew she was going to be in more pain after this was over but all in all, she hoped she passed the chunin exam...with a shock, she did.
- Spoiler:
Well they did it. The two girls managed to make it through the entirety of the chunnin exams in one piece. No. They had achieved more then just that. They had grown a little as well. They conquered every twist and tun that the path to chunnin had thrown at them and gained the reward of its title. Chunnin. It had a nice ring to it but Lucy knew that she would not stop there. She planned on one day becoming strong enough to lead her clan and Amegakure and to do that she could not stop at Chunnin. She knew that Kaede would be there, growing stronger with her till the end. They had the skill and motivation to do so and the teacher to become truly powerful kunoichi. With their new rank of chunnin, the two girls reported to Urza, to start on their training to become stronger.
The next few years the girls would train and complete new mission that would test their new skills. A life as a chunnin was very enlightening for Lucy especially. A life of a chunnin was far more exciting then that of a genin. With her new life came even greater knowledge of her kekkei genkai also. Even though Lucy and Kaede explored their unique abilities when they were genin, what they didn't know was that they were justing learning the simplest of its powers. Urza helped them learn even more of their powers and put them through a series of tests that would allow them to achieve greater strength. Lucy picked up on her explored abilities much faster then Kaede did and soon enough Lucy passed by her sister in strength. Despite this the two still trained under Urza together, however when it came to missions, Lucy was often sent out with a different squad.
Soon enough the time came for Urza to test the girls on all that they had learned from his training and their missions. To do so he put them through the same test that every member of the clan goes through once they have reached a certain level of strength. This test would test their ability to use Renkinjutsu with their kekkei genkai as well as their knowledge of how it functions. This test consisted of two parts. A written exam and a field test. Unlike the chunnin exam, the written test for this composed of around 100 questions and they were to finish it within an hour. Now normally this wouldn't seem too difficult, however the questions for this test consisted of difficult chemical combinations and formulas that clan members needed to understand to best use their powers. Each question was harder and longer then the one before it and it wasn't surprising that even Lucy failed to actually finish it. Luckily they two managed to still get enough questions to move on to the next part of the test.
The field test was something that caught the two girls by surprise. The test was placed at a secret lake deep within Amegakures forests, where the clan held their field test. This was mostly to keep the village safe because one never knows how a trainees exam entry will do. Now Lucy didn't need to worry so much about this part of the test because she was excellent when it came to using her power. For her part of the exam she managed to use her skills to manipulate the water in a way that she made two water dragons rise up and form a knotted spiral of ice. This was a good entry and use of manipulation for someone go her age and would no doubt impress the leaders of the clan. Kaede's entry was also rather impressive but was a bit unstable. She showed great promise but it was clear that she still needed a bit more training before progressing to the next level. So with the abilities of the two girls examined by the elders of the clan and Urza, it was clear that Lucy was ready to progress to the next level. So with that she was granted the title of Jounin and from that point on.
Life changed for the girls after Lucy was made a jounin. She was on missions more often and due to the dangers of the missions, Kaede was unable to tag along. During this time Lucy continued to make a name for herself. She took on any mission that was presented to her and did it with absolute precision. But Lucy wasn't becoming known just for her skills in taking on difficult missions but also based on her combat skills. Her ability to kill was known by just about everyone in the clan and even in other villages. Lucy the Freezer was what she was called by many, for her cold personality and her even..colder touch. However with great power comes even greater devotion. With the new forming alliance between Ame and Konoha, Urza has decided to prove their trust and devotion to Konoha and their alliance by assigning both Lucy and Kaede under the Hokage to assist Konoha as he sees fit. Even though Lucy and Kaede love their village, they agreed to the terms of the arrangement and with that Lucy and Kaede would be Konoha nin until stated otherwise. RP Sample: - Spoiler:
It was a beautiful day in the village Hidden in the Leaves. The streets were booming with excitement and noise. Mitsuko being one of them, wandered from shop to shop, picking up the various things she needed for diner that night. This was just one of many tasks that she had performed day after day. After she finished her shopping, Mitsuko decided it would be nice to pay a visit to a friend. She looked up into the air and stared at the sun for a moment, determining the time. The sun was high up, near the center of the bright blue sky. It was definitely almost noon and she knew she needed to be home by four to start preparing diner. Giving the fact that it took her only a hour to walk home, she figured she had more than enough time. With that she headed towards the ninja academy, stopping at one last store before she got there.
About fifteen minutes later she could see the top of the academy roof and once she covered a little more ground, she could see the students practicing kunai throwing outside with their teacher. Being that she put a little more pep in her step and just a few moments later she was walking on academy grounds. When the kids saw her they quickly stopped their practicing and ran over with excitement. "Kaede! Kaede!" They screamed as they all gathered around her, giving her hugs and asking her about her day. Mitsuko smiled at them all and returned the pleasant gestures as she heard a voice come from behind her.
"You know miss. You are disrupting my class's lesson."
Mitsuko turned around and there stood a man that looked around twenty three twenty four-ish and had dark brown hair. He wore a big fat grin on his face that distracted one from the happy look of his eyes. This man was known as Toru Hikatoro, chunnin and teacher at the academy, and a good friend of Mitsuko's. "Now..now Toru. You know that I know that." Mitsuko said with a light laugh. "You should include me into your lesson plan for these kids. I'm sure they wouldn't mind at all. Right everyone?" The kids laughed and cheered in agreement as they all started to tug on Toru's sleeves and pants, asking if he would actually do it. Toru laughed and shook his finger and then motioning them to back away so that the two of them had some space.
"Maybe I'll consider it someday. So what brings you here today? Did you need to ask me something, or did you just come here to kill some time? By the looks of things your shopping is done and it is still only noon."
He gave her a look that made it seem like he already knew her answer and it was that very reason why she stopped at an extra store before arriving at the academy. Mitsuko smiled and reached into one of her shopping bags. "Well you see. Since I had some extra time I figured I would stop by and hang around. But also I wanted to give the kids a little gift." She then pulled out some small bags of candy and smiled. The kids went crazy and rushed over to get their little bags of sugar. Mitsuko handed out the bags of candy to the kids and then turned to Toru. "Don't think I forgot about you know. I got you some too." She smiled and he rolled his eyes. "You sure love torturing me don't you. Now these kids are going to be bouncing off he walls because of the sugar." "I know but it makes me feel good that I brightened up their day a little. Besides you wouldn't be doing this job if you didn't love the kids." "I know..I know. But still some days these kids can be quite a handful. You should help me more often, maybe get a job here." "Well as much as I would love too, I'm afraid that a ninja academy would be no place for me." "How so? You love children. You have a bit of knowledge about being a shinobi. I've seen you throw a kunai a few times with the kids, helping them with their practice. I think you would make a great teacher." "Well I'll tell you what. I'll consider it..maybe."
She smiled and said her goodbyes to the kids and then gave Toru a hug goodbye as well. "I'll catch up with you later ok. After all you do still need to teach and I need to be on my way so I can get home in time to make diner. After all you know how old man Goba can be if his food isn't ready at four o'clock sharp." Toru nodded and said his goodbyes as Mitsuko picked up her shopping bags and started to walk back towards the main section of the village and in term the gate. Toru then noticed that he and Mitsuko never did discus where they were meeting "Tomorrow. Does the ramen shop at six sound good?" Mitsuko stopped and yelled back. "Sure! We can eat and drink until we are red in the face!" Toru yelled back. "Sounds like a plan to me. See you then!" He smiled and waved goodbye, the kids doing the same, as Mitsuko walked off into the busy village. Special Characteristics: Physical: - Spoiler:
