The Monkey-Priest's Staff Empty
PostSubject: The Monkey-Priest's Staff   The Monkey-Priest's Staff I_icon_minitimeSat Apr 24, 2010 12:54 pm

Name of Weapon or Item: The Staff.
Owner: Yamazu the Monkey-Priest
Location: It is placed inside a seal on his palms, to be summoned whenever he has need of it.
Rank: S

Description/Abilities: The Staff is far stronger than it seems, with the hardness of steel but without the weight. Containing some of Yamazu's old chakra, this powerful object is capable of deflecting any man-sized or smaller projectile attack, be it weapon or ninjutsu, if being spun around very fast. It is also able to break through any object by expelling chakra at impact (at the users' discreation), similar to the punches thrown by the ledgendary Tsunade. Tapping it on the ground will summon forth a Monkey Clone per tap (limit three clones). In addition, Yamazu can move the Staff without actually touching it, so long as it stays within eyesight. He cannot expel chakra if he is not touching it.
A recent addition that he has made to the Staff is making it capable of breaking off into four separate sections attached to each other by wooden chains that can stretch up to two feet (similar to a three sectioned staff, but with four sections). As with the rest of the Staff, this wooden chain is as strong as steel. This new feature makes his Buinjutsu all the more unpredictable as his straight Staff suddenly becomes able to strike in many different directions before becoming a normal staff once more.

History: Carved by the Monkey-Priest himself from a special tree on the highest reaches of his temple's mountain, it does not seem like anything but a simple wooden staff. Appearences are often deceptive however, and it is a very powerful object. Yamazu used great effort to make this weapon, putting not only his sweat and blood but also his chakra into it. It contains some of his power from the old days, when he was at his peak. Using this staff, he was able to subdue the Four-Tailed Ape Demon on two separate occasions. After the Yonbi was sealed in him, he made a further alteration to the Staff, splitting it in four and stringing a chain through it, making it able to split into four different sections in homage to the Demon that now resided in him.

Appearance: It looks like an ordinary wooden staff, albeit adorned by several laughing monkey faces about six inches from either end. Although the Staff can split into four sections, it is impossible to see any cuts in the wood to give it away.
