| Reborn yawned a little as he woke up within his room, glancing out of the room. The day didn't look too good to begin with... dark, heavy clouds that meant it was going to rain, yet again and the way the clouds kept on shifting and how curtains blew through the village, he could only assume like any other logical person that there were heavy winds about as well. He contemplated over the thought of starting his little team meeting later... in more favorable weather, but why bother? They were ninja, weren't they? They'd have to fight through storms such as these eventually and probably in worser conditions anyway. Soo, why not get the mountain all set up and go invite the little suckers over to the Vongola's Private Mountain Lands and give them their little meeting, test, and what not.
Now first he needed to contact a few people to set up part of the mountain before he got there... Viper or Chrome... Hmm both were excellent, but Viper would charge him (and 'missing' in the village at the moment last he knew) and he wasn't quite sure where exactly Chrome was. Call Tsuna. Duh. Jumping out of bed and onto his desk chair and then onto his desk, picking up the phone on there and dialing Tsuna's number. After a few minutes Tsuna finally picked up and relayed the information to Reborn. A few quick nods, whilst listening to Tsuna and then Reborn was calling the Mist Guardian as well as a few select others.
Several minutes later Reborn was making his way to the mountains himself, struggling slightly against the strong, heavy winds until he at last decided to use his shortcuts and secret passageways. They weren't affected by weather... usually. Just construction and severe weather conditions like earthquakes and what not. There were a few delays here and there, due to some leaky spots in the passageways he'd have to fix later, but eventually he made it there to the base of the mountain relatively dry and a bit tired and cramped.
Even if he was in his five year old body, crawling through the tunnels still took some out of you. What time was it, what time was it? Ten in the morning, good, only took him about an hour and half to get to the base of the mountain. He still had time. For the next hour and a half, Reborn began set up various parts of the mountain and working with his other helpers, preparing it for the Genin that would arrive.
Given the weather, he had eased up a little on them, just a little. The first task at hand would only require them to climb up the mountain side, slick with the falling rain and stricken with rocky outcroppings. It should'nt be too hard on them... After a few hundred feet or so of that, say maybe nearly a thousand to two thousand feet up? they'd be crossing a bridge across a vast canyon several hundred feet high and several hundred feet long as well. The bridge was old, and likely to fall... but they were ninja. They could handle it somehow.
After transversing the bridge they'd come across an empy plain full of tall, prickly grass before the edge of the beginning of a forest, mountain rock looming up high on the left side and a winding river roaring past on the right side, almost out of sight and hearing that hinted at water source further up ahead. Hopefully it wouldn't flood anytime soon... given all the rain that Kumo had had so far...
And it was where the grass began to flatten out near the forest that Reborn was waiting, his little fedora tucked over his head tightly and warmly, keeping his body heat in and the rain from hitting his face. He could feel fain messages from the wind blowing through the trees, but with the semi-thick forest to his back most of the wind had died down harmlessly before it could reach him and the rain couldn't be carried through the forest wall that easily either. He was rather comfortable, actually, just a little tired and bored at the moment.
The messenger having left and sending messages to the Genin Team and his Chuunin Student had left over half an hour ago. It'd take them at least an hour to get here, that is if they didn't get lose in the premature darkness and could read the map... So when should they arrive up where he was at? Ehh maybe noon, or one in the afternoon? Maybe later? He hoped not. That was already a bad sign if they weren't there by 1:30...
Smiling just a little, Reborn's little hands pet Reon on the head reassuringly. Things were starting to fall into place and it wouldn't be long... But vaguely he wondered what his Chuunin Student wanted to do. Perhaps he should've contacted the young woman first and see if she had ideas of how to test the Genin, but then again it really wasn't his way to go about asking others to train people for him... To be honest, he really wasn't even sure about this whole "Chuunin Assistant" thing, but hey, Raikage asked for it, so he'd go with it. Maybe the Chuunin would be useful after all, and who knows, he'd be busy enough soon... the Chuunin just might have to train, or at least test, the Genin a little...
Who were his Genin again? Oh yes, that death kid, that normal girl, and that nearly dead bloodline girl... What were their names? Shikyo Hayato... Semi-Ku Aoi... and Fuusoku Youmu... Hnn and who was that Chuunin Assitant? That girl from Konoha, was it? Ahh... Nara Shiori, wasn't it? Hnn so two medics, a Taijutsu and Ninjutsu kid along with a Weaponry sensei... Maybe he'd get the Chuunin to teach the medic some more things and have her teach the Tai kid some lightning moves and work with the Wind kid some or something. Bah, whatever. He needed to see if they were worthy enough to be Genin in the first place though. | |
