Rice to Kumo

Tsume suddenly stopped in the middle of road that was going through rice fields. For last few miles it felt like someone was constantly following him but every time he turned around to finally see who it was, he only found empty road, both behind and in front of him. Quite a creepy feeling and so Tsume turned around again, hoping that he'll find someone behind him. But this time was no different, the road was empty.

For quite a while boy was walking, without taking any longer break to look around or just relax, he felt a strange urge to go back to Kumo as quickly as possible and so he was walking for entire night, stopping only for few seconds, looking if no one was following him. Obviously he was thinking about something pretty hard, his entire attention concentrated on some thoughts, for he didn't feel tired, nor hungry for quite long. Now, still standing in the middle of the road he woke up from his thoughts. He finally felt a need to inspect his surroundings. Typical Rice country... Vast rice fields to the left and to the right, people working them from the earliest morning, Thin, snake like road-path, one end of it coming from one typical, old forest and another end disappearing into horizon. It felt like traveling an endless road or... Maybe being stuck in one place. Anyway it was quite boring.

Feeling quite confused and depressed (an unusual mix of emotions for Tsume) boy once again begun walking. He raised his sight up. He wanted to see sky, it is never boring, for it always changes, like a living creature. Strangest clouds float in there, some looking like otherworldly creatures, other like ships or people. The sky now was dyed red by rising sun. Small feather clouds were moving fast, it seemed like they too wanted to escape Rice country and see something else, instead of vast rice fields.

Boy was shivering, for this was quite a cold morning and he, as usual forgot to take any warmer clothes with him. There were no places to lite a fire and so boy had to find another way to warm up. He didn't think long and just suddenly begun running.
