Tadakatsu Sanada (Complete)

Once in the village of Konohagakure, a voice could be heard from the depths of a large house. It was the cry of a newborn baby, and it sounded quite sad. On the bed with the baby, was a woman breathing heavily and smiling. At her bedside, tears rolled down a man's cheeks, as he was the boy's father, in great droves as they trickled down his visage. The man smiled at the baby with a content smile, glad that he now had a son, but was still worried of the possible side effects of their clan's bloodline might have. Alas, this did not stop the baby from crying, but rather it actually encouraged the whining. Finally, the man had to leave the room with the infant to allow the mother to rest, and the umbilical unattached from the mother at this point in time.

Then we fast-forward through the years, days fly by like seconds to the baby, and he couldn’t retain much of his old memories until a change of environment happened. He and his family had relocated to a much larger estate in Konohagakure. His family included: a few aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, dad, a loving mother, and himself. They decided it was time to move on from that small village full of melancholy memories that they didn’t want to remember any more. As they trek from their old, small mansion to the huge, spacious new estate hub in a thick fog, they all have their eyes down as their memories still flash in their eyes. They reached the gates and they settled into a district near the gates of Konohagakure no Sato village.

Then, he was only two years old at the time, but he started to remember things and think on a geometric scale just as all infants do when their brain is starting into a more developed stage. He was a bright child, he learned to walk and talk at a young age. Both of his parents were proud of him and loved him very much. Their clan had been growing over this time, and luckily, Tadakatsu hadnt shown any signs of the blindness side effects from their clan, and the parents were relieved.

By the age of five, he was a quite popular child around the village. He had always been such a likable person. It is like all of the kids in the village wanted to be his friend, and he had a great time for a while playing ninja and other village games. He became so attracted by the game of ninja that he played so often that he decided that was the career choice for him; he would be a ninja of Konoha.

Tada was so happy at this point in time, but that was all soon to end. He was seven at the time, and he was getting ready to try to apply to the academy, but fate was to turn to misfortune that day. He came into his house after playing ninja, and he saw his family all crowding around something in the living room. There were ANBU guards at the door and he could see the white medic ninja uniform through the cracks of the crowd. The faces of his family seemed to be clouded and dark, especially their eyes. Tada could hear murmurs and whispers going around the group of people, and some even had their mouths cupped as if they had witnessed something strange and horrific. He started to shake and cry as he saw this crowd. Now, he could feel a deep despair in the depths of his stomach as he looked around, but he didn’t know why. He moved forward pushing through the crowd with a fury, and he saw him. Tada’s father had hung himself by a rope in the. Now, he knew consciously what death was. Overwhelmed with grief, he ran from the scene, but he didn’t notice the note that his father had left to be read on the table. As he was running, he noticed something strange that he had never noticed before. He could sense things that he couldn’t yet see, like people around the corners of roads and such. Tears came down streaming from his eyes falling onto his shirt barely noting it to himself.

Soon, the ANBU found the missing child curled up behind a large building by the Hokage’s office. He could feel the ANBU come up on him, and he looked up at them. His radar like senses could see them coming in on them, and they looked stunned. A mere child was able to sense the movements of the ANBU, the elite black-ops force of Konohagakure no Sato, which at that time had one of the greatest spy networks in the whole entire known ninja world. Who was he? A child? How could he sense such things even jounin find hard to sense? They looked at the Tada behind their masks in awe as they marveled at his great gifts that he had been given. They returned them to his clan’s sector in the village, and reported to some higher ups in the village who decided that it would be for the best of the village and the child to start him in the academy as soon as possible.

Soon after, Tada’s family was coaxed by the higher ups in the village to come to the academy at this early age to hone his skills. He learned many new Ninjutsu skills like Bunshin no jutsu and Kawarmi no jutsu. Tadakatsu was one of the most advanced learners in the whole group of children that was in his classes. He took in the information like it was nothing, and he was able to repeat it with no flaws with minimal efforts going toward learning.

The Chunin instructors noted the way the boy learned and marveled at his speed and comprehension. He was a true genius in his own way, and as such, they felt it was their duty to meet the needs of the young ninja. He was hardly an E-ranked ninja in the academy; rather, he was more of a C-ranked ninja. They instructors taught him kage bunshin no jutsu, which took him a while for him to get a handle on. Although, the training was very very difficult, he was unable to fully master the technique at that time, only able to create a clone for a short amount of time before it dissappeared on its own. Soon, though, he could hold his own against nearly any genin in the village, yet he was only in the academy. The instructors and higher ups in the village decided it was time for him to graduate and to be assigned a team.

When Tadakatsu was nine years old, he was assigned his very first team. The other two members were exceptionally older than he was, which was expected. One was twelve and the other was thirteen. This made him the youngest obviously. The two others would constantly ridicule him for his size. They assumed Tadakatsu was getting special treatment and possibly even favoritism for his young age, but they didn't know his story. Although he was small, he was very clever, often finding solutions to their missions. During his first few missions, he had become more adept at the knowledge and abilities of his bloodline, learning everything to know about it from family, and then being able to gain real life experience through his missions. Once the two of his team members were practically bombarding him with what could be called a verbal attack. Tada had finally had enough and decided to show them up. "I don't see why I'm the one always getting teased. If anything, it should be the both of you. I was the one who was able to graduate at merely nine years old. [I'm the one who is a prodigy. And honestly, I think I could beat the both of you at the same time, without even breaking a single sweat. I'm also prepared to back that statement up." That is when his teammates grimaced at him, then charged. The next thing they knew they were curled up on the ground from a solid punch to the stomach, to each of them, with Tada walking away with a satisfactory smirk on his face. They didn't bother him again, and had a new found respect for him.

After a while, once the team had learned to work together properly, their jounin sensei decided to put them all to a test. Tadakatsu had played a small part when they were on missions. He was playing them the whole time, never showing his power, talents, and gifts. He went off into the forest and created a clone just before he came into anyone's view. Not even his sensei could have guessed it wasn't him. His sensei announced the test starting and his clone grimaced.

Soon enough the fight had begun, and they were only supposed to land a hit, but as soon as it started, its end was determined. Brilliantly, Tadakatsu deduced that not even his jounin sensei could tell it was merely a clone clone, and the jounin hid confidently in the tree thinking that no one could track him because he was much higher-ranked, not even the young child from the Sanada clan.The jounin was very egotistic, which Tada had found out by simply hanging around him.

Tada’s clone moved forward from the teammates as they hid. He was moving close to the tree where his sensei was at, and he simply looked around at the base of the tree like a helpless little boy. His sensei thought it was time to teach the seemingly dumb kid a lesson in hiding. He came out of the tree pouncing onto the ground behind the clone so that before he could react he could land a small warming hit on the child, but to his surprise, this is not what happened. He had not be listening to the sounds all around him the whole time. He had only expected the genins’ plans not to happen this quickly. Then, wham, his sensei hits the shadow clone, and it flew forward, but that is when the real Tadakatsu attacked. From behind the tree, the true Tada came out to punch his sensei square in the back, knocking a little wind out of his and sending cracking sounds throughout his spine, and he fell forward a little. The shadow clone he had hit disappeared, and he couldn’t believe what he was witnessing. In a few moments, Tada was able to exploit and hit a jounin with little effort.

His sensei turned around ashamed and angry at the genin for humiliating him, and he was about to counter-attack in a fury, but it seemed out of nowhere that the Hokage had intervened with his presence . This shocked even Tada because the Hokage right in front of his face stopped a punch from his sensei. The Hokage, Keiden Senju, looked with disgust at the pathetic behavior of his sensei. He looked back at the team and said, “Your business here is finished young genin, and you may leave. You will be assigned a new sensei tomorrow." As Tatakatsu began to walk away, the Hokage looked back at him. He then called to him, “Wait, stay there. I need to speak with you for a moment.” Tada stopped in his tracks and looked back at the Hokage. The Hokage then continued, "For your genius efforts, I would like to now grant you the rank of Chunin. To fool a jounin like that, no matter how cocky he is, one must be very talented. I also bet you are curious why I was here. I have heard all about your achievements, and I wanted to witness you myself in action.To tell you the truth, the instructors at the academy asked me to graduate you automatically to a C-rank genin, saying that you were even more skilled than the academy teacher. I didn’t believe them at first, this sort of talent in a ninja doesn't come often. You are highly skilled at being a ninja, and I recognize that now by bestowing you that rank. Furthermore, you are going to mixed and matched with teams and sent on multitudes of missions. Good day young sir.” With that, he left him there. Although he was suprized out of his mind about becoming chunin, Tada knew that he would miss his old team. "Hokage sir, I have to decline...for now. I do not feel quite ready enough to have such a rank. Let me stay a genin for another 1 and 1/2 years or so, that is all I ask. So that I am truly ready for this position." The hokage turned back and listened to what he said, and he looked at the gound and spoke. "Very well, 1 and 1/2 years it is. But I must say, I shall give you no more than that." Then the Hokage was on his way.

Although Tadakatsu was only 10 1/2, he had already accomplished something that many ninja have never even accomplished. Tadakatsu was assigned a multitude of teams for different missions. He never ended up seeing his old sensei or teammates really ever again because the mission network of Konohagakure was huge.

He grew up very quickly, always staying busy with missions. He never stuck with a team long enough actually to get to know any one very well. With his young vivacity, he was able to stay constantly busy with a substantial amount of missions. He never got a moment of rest, but in return, he received gifts of training that made him into a fantastic ninja. It was around then, that he was thirteen years old and nearly 14, but he was moving ever closer to an A-ranking ninja. Some around him, including the Hokage, practically given him that rank, but the Hokage was waiting for something big to give him an excuse to promote a thirteen year old to the rank of jounin. However, that opportunity didn’t come for a long time.

One day when he got back to the village from an A-ranked mission, he looked around. The village had changed much sense he had last looked at it. A veil had been blocking his vision. It was because of the numerous missions, and constant training, that caused him to all but forget what else was happening. After the A-ranked mission, he didn’t have any more scheduled for nearly one month, and he really didn’t have anything to do. Tada noticed all of the changes of the village all at once. Most people wouldn't have really noticed what he did, as they had been there to experience it, while Tada, he was on missions and didn't have time. He was amazed with the stunning things he had been missing, and he felt robbed of the many experiences, but he thought of what good he had been doing for the village. He decided it was worth it if it was all for the village’s prosperity. He enjoyed the rest of his time there, though, and stuck to his training regimen.

He was sixteen and chunin, having been that rank for nearly six years. Tadakatsu was ready for just about anything, at least that is what he thought, but nothing he could have done until now could have actually prepared him for what was about to occur.

One day on an A-ranked mission transporting a diplomat from the Wind Country to the Fire Country, the entire squad that he was with, except for him, was killed by an ambush of enemy ninja in the vast desert of the Wind Country. Many of the people on the squad weren’t as experienced as him, although most of them were older. He had escaped the raid barely by the skin of his teeth; however, in the process of eluding them, he didn’t get to see the faces of the enemy ninja. They were not wearing any particular clothes that could signal to him that one was from a particular village or not. However, Tadakatsu was able to keep the diplomat safe, but he was unable to complete the mission. For the safety of the diplomat, he decided it was time to return to the village with him.

Upon returning, he was greeted as a hero, even though he did not complete his mission. The people and their cheering confused Tadakatsu very much because in fact he had not done his mission.Tadakatsu found out that after the diplomat failed to arrive at his destination, a messenger was sent that made people assume the diplomat and he was dead. But it turned out to be quite the opposite of popular thought.The diplomat went straight to the Hokage’s office when they had first arrived in Konohagakure and left Tadakatsu behind in the village, and he seemed quite upset that Tadakatsu had not completed the mission. Yet again, to the contrary, the diplomat was happy about Tadakatsu’s quick thinking and astute decision to return. Tadakatsu felt sorrow inside, as he felt he did not deserve this praise. He failed his mission, and he had watched his comrades die. But he knew that was how they had wanted to go, in the line of duty, for the saftey of their village. It was then he decided he would truly do the same, and would never be truly afraid to die on a serious mission again.

The Hokage, having heard the tale, went to Tada to congratulate him and to give him something prized to many ninja. He was going to promote him to Jounin. The Hokage looked at the young man with great pride in his eyes. The Hokage said, “For you actions of prowess and astute thinking, I must give you something I have been wanting to give you for such a long time. I promote you to the rank of Jounin. Congratulations.” Tadakatsu was astounded at the praise he received from the Hokage, and he accepted it without a second thought. He was stunned in his place for a moment until he forced himself to move. The Hokage exulted him, and now he was Jounin. Soon after, the Hokage walked away, and just one tear came to Tada’s eyes as the Hokage passed by, a tear of joy. Soon, he sprinted off to his dwelling to sleep and be at peace for just a few moments. He layed and reflected on what he had accomplished so far at his very young age.

"So, it seems you are late again...as usual"

Tadakatsu heard his friend say as he walked next to him. Tada was almost always late, but he and his friend didn't really care. Tadakatsu marked his page and closed his book, placing it in his pouch. People were passing about giving almost none of their attention to the two of them. Tadakatsu and his friend (we will call him Joe) meet up every week and partake in challenges with each other as a friendly game. Tada had lost track of who's turn it was to give the challenge, and he often does forget.

"Alright Joe, let's get this over with. Now, who's turn was it to give the challenge again? You know how I forget things sometimes."

Joe stood there and placed his palm upon his face and sighed. He took a breath and spoke.

"Why do you always forget Tada? Honestly how hard is it to remember something like this? -sigh- I suppose theres no way that'll change in the near future, so I guess I'll tell you. Its your turn to give the challenge. And since you are...well...you, I'll let you think of what challenge you want to make."

Joe leaned against the side of the building of which the two of them were standing next to. But enough about Joe, he isn't all that important anyway. Tadakatsu on the other hand, he was just standing there thinking of a challenge. Well, not a challenge, more of something that would just tick Joe off. Tada liked to do this every once in awhile for a challenge, mainly to keep from doing too much work. He was in a lazy mood today, so he wanted to think of an extra ridiculously simple challenge for the day. Then, he got an idea, a perfect idea for a challenge. It met all of his criteria for an easy challenge.

"Hey Joe, I have a challenge now. We are going to play a word game. I'll think of a word, and you have to guess it. I am able to give you a single hint. I can only give you the first letter of the word. For this word, the first letter is 's'."

Tadakatsu smiled inside as he saw his friend's reaction as he explained his challenge. All he did on the outside was a simple smirk. The brilliance about this game was that he could use any word he wanted. So, like anyone else like him, he chose a short and simple word. He knew how Joe worked and knew that he would almost never guess the word 'sky' in a million years. But Joe was persistent, so Tadakatsu knew it would be some time before he gave up. When Joe started guessing random words starting with the letter 's', Tada just pulled out his book again and started reading. The only real thought going through his mind was that this was going to be a long and amusing challenge.

Chakra Control:

These users have excellent chakra control, which means they waste little chakra in battle. People with excellent chakra control usually have average or below average chakra. Since the amount of chakra is smaller, it is easier to master control over it. People with this skill are like, Itachi, Kakakshi and Orochimaru.

Character's with this trait are able to pierce through a lairs veil by reading habits, quirks or nervous reactions given off by a liar. This trait is on even footing with 'LIAR!' meaning their polygraph skills become average when in a 'LIAR!'s presence.

Vigorous:
Rank: C
Character's with this trait are in excellent physical shape. They are generally slightly stronger, heal faster and are rarely ill.

Light Sleeper:
Rank: B
Character's with this trait sleep very lightly, most often even the smallest noise will awaken him or her, making them difficult to sneak up on.

Tracking/Senses:
Rank: B
This skill gives the user a good ability with his senses, being able to track opponents from a distance without them knowing, no matter the ranking the person is most of the time. They have high senses and are able to effectively use their abilities to keep their senses tuned on an opponent. These are your stealth-type characters. The prerequisites for the senses skill is Chakra Control. If you can just track and are not in tune with your senses then there is no prerequisite.
