A solid black veil continued to shield her from the outside world. She had originally felt herself slipping away, the burns around her body causing torment as she laid there trying to heal. She was doing it automatically and due to the amount of damage and blood it would take she would definitely wake up hungry. That is, if she woke up. While she laid there, her body continued to heal all over. She was unaware of Shi's act, her lung being pierced, but she could almost feel it healing despite her overall numbness. She felt out of touch with reality all together and waking up didn't help.

Her body suddenly jerked as her eyes snapped open and a gasp escaped her. Her pupils were still narrow like a cat's but due to the bright white light above her she suddenly closed them for protection. Her eyes stung from the light's intensity and soon they reverted from a blazing crimson red color to her amber illusion. Here ears remained wide open and listening before soon enough she found the courage to re-open her hues and gaze around some. The bright light still stung but this was soon fixed. The sound of footsteps from one side of the room crossed towards the other before someone flicked the light off. Now the room was lit with dim lights instead; helping her eyes relax and let go of the pain.

A small grunt escaped her as she heaved out a breath. She soon peered down to see an air mask placed over her mouth; explaining the clean air smell. It was then she also noticed she was wearing a gown. 'What the...'
Her ears twitched to the sound of movement as a being approached, causing them to turn to the sound with her eyes following suit.

"Hello Nasamea," Nasa blinked, "how are you feeling?"

The voice belonged to a young woman who looked like a nurse. She was wearing dark blue animal printed scrubs and from what Nasa could tell, she was one of the happy go lucky types. The woman smiled at Nasamea before turning her attention to the machines set up beside her. She held a clipboard in one hand and a pencil in the other; suddenly utilizing them as she wrote down a few quick things. She must have been testing Nasa's heart of something because there was a familiar beeping sound nearby. It was the noise from the heart machines in the movies or on TV. Nasamea wasn't sure what exactly they were called and at the moment she kind of didn't care.

Nasamea moved her mouth to form words by majority of the sound came out as mumbles due to the mask. The nurse peered over at her and sighed; holding the clipboard against her chest.

"Sorry, I forgot how hard it was to talk with the mask on. I'm afraid you can't take it off just yet either. How about this. Thumbs up is yes or okay and thumbs down is no. In between means unsure, kind of, or neutral okay?"

Nasamea nodded before making a thumbs up in response to her previous question. The nurse nodded with her cheerful smile before marking something on the clipboard.

"Good, you're healing well. Actually, a lot better and faster then we could have ever guessed. You seem to have an excellent immune system."

'I'm not human lady... it's my bloodline... my regeneration skill....'

Of course Nasamea knew the woman wouldn't know this but at the moment she was just irritated. Thing was she did not know what it was she was healing from, making her mentally ask questions. Above all else though, the main questions on her mind involved Shihouin. Such as where he was, what happened, etc. The nurse said something but Nasamea wasn't paying much attention anymore. Instead, she motioned to be given a piece of paper, the clipboard, and a pencil. The woman didn't understand at first but once she did Nasamea was given these supplies; she wrote away.

Why am I here? Was the first question written.
The nurse gazed at her before shaking her head, "you took a nearly fatal wound to the lung and so we were called in. A cat delivered us a message and we retrieved you and brought you here. You've been unconscious for almost a whole day now, see?"

She pointed outside and finally Nasamea realized that it was actually dark out. The sun must have went down a long time ago. This all made her sigh. At the moment she was confused. Did Shi really do this? Did he try to kill her? At the moment she didn't know what to think as the question reel regarding trust went through her mind. Apparently their relationship had come to and end before it truly began. At least that's the impression she got. Maybe if she didn't fall unconscious she would know more about the scenario. Luck must not have been on their side at the moment. or maybe hers. If only she stayed away a little longer... or maybe that man was waiting for her to come.

Thinking about all of this though, Nasamea completely zoned out and ignored the nurse. This woman was patient though and waited, speaking Nasa's name quietly with a soothing edge before Nasa finally came back.

"Are you hungry? Would you like something to eat?"

Nasamea was starving but not in the way the woman thought. She wanted packs of meet so bad at the moment but saying this would probably freak the nurse out. She would have to wait until she was released or was able to feast on some helpless individual. It would cause to much attention though. This all only made her want out more. She waited though, deciding to not draw attention to herself and lie low. She felt somewhat glad she was stuck. Mostly because she knew she would try to hunt down Shi. What would she do when she ran into him though?

She wasn't sure....

"I set up an IV, i'll be back soon with some food."

The blood packet wouldn't last long.

Nasamea had removed her air mask and finished off the pack. She let out a whimper as she cleaned off real fast and replaced it back on the hanger. She didn't need it stuck into her arm. She needed it to drink! While the purple haired girl returned to her bed, the nurse casually reentered before gasping in utter confusion. Nasa could already predict where this was going.

"What? Where did the blood go? Did it just drain out completely or was someone in here?"

Nasame simply shrugged before the nurse hesitantly crossed the room to Nasa. She placed a tray of human food on a table before her, one that also had a remote and cup of ice water on it, before she checked the blood pack. Nasamea had made a small hole with her teeth to drain the blood. She didn't doubt that the nurse wouldn't notice, which she then did, but knew it would only leave her more baffled. She quickly began to survey the area for the blood but none was to be found. Nasamea played along, her amber hues glancing around before they both looked at one another. The nurse was confused, Nasamea shrugged. So far she had an act that she was confused as well and apparently it was working.

"Well..." the nurse began, holding the blood packet in hand, "i guess i'll just get you a new one.... is your meal okay?"

This question made her seem as though she were acting casual again. Nasamea glanced over the food and nodded, ready to get the woman out of there so she could dump the garbage and bring in the real meal. Once the nurse turned her back to Nasamea and left, she quickly scanned the area for some way of getting rid of the meal. So far, the only thing she saw was a trash can. But it would be obvious that she didn't eat and dumped it all once the janitor, or whoever dumped the trash, came by. She had a feeling they would report the dumped food to the nurse too. This would make them think she wasn't eating and would probably not only keep her longer but ask a ton of unnecessary questions. This left one option...

Nasamea sighed before picking up a piece of rye bread. She sniffed it before holding it away and sticking her tongue out. She then brought it closer, making a grim face before she took a bite and made a grumbling sound. Already her face looked sick. She hated most human foods and drinks. At least water was okay with her but she preferred tea.

As she set the disgusting bread aside she then poked at an actual sandwich, examining it's contents. It were as though she had never seen food before and just found out something new. Nasamea later picked it up after visual examination and soon moved on to the sniff test. She wafted it's scent, acknowledging it was obviously meat, before nibbling at it. She hated the bread, she hated the lettuce, and she despised the tomato. What was this white stuff on it? She didn't care, she hated that too. What she did like though, at least a little, was the meat... which was actually turkey. She pretty much took the turkey out and ate it, making sure to scrape off the white crap with her plastic knife, before she poked at the rest of her food. She at least wanted it to look like she ate something. That way she wouldn't be THAT abnormal in the nurse's eyes; even though she probably looked it already.

After poking at some corn and what seemed like some sort of green apple flavored ice; the nurse finally returned with another pack. She looked at Nasa's meal, mostly Nasa herself as she poked at the ice, as she crossed the room to set up the new pack.

"You act like you've never seen sherbet before."

Nasamea's eye tuned into her before she turned her head in response, "sher what?"

The nurse was silent for a moment, finishing the set up before turning back to Nasa. She had a slightly unreadable face; the mark that she wasn't sure how to respond now.

"Oh... so you've never heard or see sherbet before.... normally kids are all excited about us bringing their favorite flavor. You aren't the first though so don't feel bad."

Nasa didn't.

"Pretty much" she continued, "it's flavored ice. Like an icee or snow cone. They're pretty tasty if you ask me. Just watch out for brain freeze and melting."

Snow cone, icee, what was this woman talking about? Nasamea's eyes became fixed on the green ice known as sherbet, causing the nurse to smile.

"Go ahead and try it. Poking at it won't help you learn it's taste."

The nurse walked away, making sure to include some final words before fully taking her leave.

"If you need anything just push the red cross button on your bed remote. You use that to adjust it, please don't break it. The TV remote is in front of you if you didn't notice. Fill free to ask for anything and tell me if something happens to this blood packet okay?"

"Wait."

"Hm?"

"When can I leave?"

The nurse was silent for a moment before her smile grew a bit dim, "not for a while sadly. You were stabbed in the lung and the tool went straight through one side and out the other. You seem fine without your air mask at the moment but please put it back on when you're done eating okay? We're going to run more scans later and that'll help us decide but please don't move around much."

"I won't, thanks"

The nurse smiled again and nodded before closing the door behind her. Nasamea sighed as she looked down at the nasty food and poked at some corn with her spoon. She was still curious about the sherbet but at the moment her thoughts were currently possessed by a few questions while she tried to answer them. Who was that man? Why did Shi attack her? Actually, why did he try to burn her to death for that matter? Did he pierce her lung? And more so, where was he now....

She completely zoned out as she thought these questions over; an odd silence becoming a veil over her room. She could hear people walking on the tile halls outside, their voices becoming louder as she grew quieter. She let out a sigh finally before glancing over at the remote. 'Wait until my parents find out I'm here...' She actually didn't want to think about that. What they may decide to do. She could honestly see them suggesting to pack up and move. Maybe that's just her though.

Nasa picked up the remote and turned the TV on before proceeding to channel surf. The TV flashed multiple uninteresting images as Nasa stared blankly; her mind elsewhere. Finally, she stopped at a movie before resting on the pillow behind her head. She glanced over at the bed remote before playing with it a bit, causing her to sit up enough to where she could see but was still laying back. Once she did this she rested a bit.

Suddenly, without warning, her eyes snapped open to reveal crimson red hues while a deep monstrous growl bellowed from her chest. It didn't take her long to get a hold of the new bag, finishing it off and replacing it before cleaning up and trying to relax again. The smell was driving her crazy, she needed much more.

Grabbing the remote, she called for the nurse to get a new packet....

Nasamea stayed in the hospital overnight as she tried to come to grips about what happened and continued to puzzle the nurse with the disappearing blood. She even asked if Nasa did it? Why would she do such a thing! She tried not to chuckle as she shook her head and shrugged, 'it just disappears. Maybe my arm is draining it or something." She would always get a questioning look before the nurse left to grab another pack. She probably figured that it was apparent Nasa wasn't going to budge about where the blood went. The nurse couldn't explain it either. She checked all over the room, her eyes constantly wondering, but she couldn't draw a conclusion. She eyed Nasa carefully but shrugged it off, "at least you are starting to look better."

Nasamea woke up rather early in morning, merely because she was used to this. She listened outside the room, barely hearing anything. She looked around, nothing seen. She sniffed a bit, same medical scent. One thing she noticed was the new blood pack which she was actually hesitant to consume. What if someone came into her room that night and installed a surveillance or something. Could they even do that? She didn't know and wasn't sure if she wished to find out.

She still had the air mask in hand, her eyes honing in out it and contemplating whether she really wanted to put it back on or do what she had in mind. Getting tired of being in this, she gave herself a chance and pulled her legs to where she sat on the edge of the bed. She huffed a few times and straightened her back to consume more air. No pain. She twisted her body around back and forth a few times and took sharper breaths, nothing. She was still waiting on the results from her test/exam yesterday regarding her lung. She was put through some machines and had to do breathing exercises. It was all kind of annoying. She wanted to know her records, to see if she was fully okay. But she wanted to get out and train a little too.

She got up and walked over to the window, opening up the curtains to reveal nothing but darkness. There wasn't even a street light within close range. She could see lights far away and the red ominous glow of the red light district but otherwise it was all dark. Right now was the perfect time to escape and return home. Would her parents be mad at her though for leaving? A part of her started to not really care anymore. A part of her wanted to run away from Konoha and actually return to Taki. More so she wanted to expand territory and travel. She couldn't though. With teh other Kisaki around she was stuck. Was Konoha even safe anymore? This caused a deep growl to echo in her chest again. She hated to feel like a caged animal. She wanted out and fast. Was this impatience? Yeah, seemed so. Was this worry? Definitely. Curiosity? Check that on the list too. A part of her felt as though there was something missing and she wasn't willing to just sit around until she found out what. Was it necessarily Shi? Once again, she wasn't sure of almost anything at the moment.

Seizing the oppurtunity to escape she quickly drained the pack set up to her and the 4 packs placed in a small cooler nearby. It was there so that the nurses wouldn't have to go all the way down the hall for a new pack. After that, she detached anyhting connected to her and quickly fled to the window, tore off its latches, and leaped down to the ground below. She was only on the second story so she didn't take much damange to her legs and muscles.

Once she was on the ground and running a though came back to her about the possible camera in her room. It made her skeptical on whether or not she should drink the blood in the first place but at the moment she didn't care. She was sure they wouldn't exactly like the fact she escaped anyway and from what she saw nothing had changed. She could be wrong though. But at least this blood gave her enough energy to keep going.

She was tired of waiting around in that hospital. Especially when she now had a heavier weight on her shoulders than before.
