Shin Uchiha[Konoha Genin]

A key aspect of Shin's personality is his ability to almost entirely mask every aspect of his personality in nearly every situation. During his youth, Shin realized how beneficial it was to hide ones emotions in many situations. Over the course of his life, he has nearly perfected this art, only those who know him very well are able to glimpse the emotions which fuel any actions. Others will find it difficult, if not impossible to deem what he is feeling, as his body gives almost no notable signs unless he wishes it to. He also possesses the ability modify his personality for most social situations. This falling into place due to his ability to separate the different social situations and modify, or rather hide in an extent, his personality to fit each of the situations.

The world is the chessboard , the pieces are the phenomena of the Universe, the rules of the game are what we call the laws of Nature and the player on the other side is hidden from us” That simple statement describes Shin's outlook on life. The world is the board, it's shapes all fitting into the shape, it's environment effecting the people . People are the pieces, the hand moving them is guided by emotions, their motives never clean, pulled into play by primal desires. Any interaction with other's is dictated in strategy like a game of chess, every move in every situation is important.

Although he is a excellent strategist, he is very laid back. Nearly always seen as very lazy, he rarely puts his full effort into things and only doing things if they really need to be done. Yet on another token, he may become extremely hyperactive and playful, almost a complete personality flip. Since an early age Shin has been praised for his intelligence. He enjoys doing anything that may increase his knowledge base. He also finds. He finds delight in puzzles, seeking the solutions franticly, but often tossing them aside after finishing them, the solution having been his only goal. However, although he is intelligent, he rarely displays the knowledge, preferring to only give away what he knows when absolutely needed.

Although he may act indifferent to the feelings of others, underneath his mask Shin feels deeply for those he cares for. Despite appearances, he is generally very caring and forgiving, although it is hidden behind his mask. Whether or not this is a good thing is a matter of perspective. He possesses a strong dislike for fighting outright, preferring to end fights before they begin. However, when he does fight he does so with a calm and rational mind, planing and computing every action and keeping his mask in place. Due to the isolation of his childhood, Shin is a rather awkward around people, not quite sure how he should act.

Birth
The cool air of the late summer evening filled the air as Vera Uchiha stood hugely pregnant surrounded by family members, all proud to see the her pregnant with the newest Uchiha Clan member. Suddenly a gasp of surprise escaped from her lips, "Hikaru” She yelled over her joyous family members to her husband, Hikaru Teru, named after his great-great-great grandfather, ”It’s time!.....” Hikaru Tetsuya, who had been talking to a distant cousin about the village’s military force, suddenly rushed into movement’s at his wife’s call. He pushed his way through the crowd of family members as he made his way to his wife. Quickly Realizing what was going on, he scooped his wife up in his strong arms and carried her to the nearest medical facility, their child on the way and coming quickly.

Several Hours Later

Near midnight, after several hours of labor, the screams of a newborn baby erupted into the air of the small Hospital Room. After a few moments, a Medical Ninja, whose face was rather green, handed the small child to Hikaru. ”Your son………..” he said, his voice seeming to be filled with wonder, due to the fact that he had helped bring life into the world.
Looking down at his son, Hiikaru nestled the child in his arms, and spoke his voice also filled with amazement, ”My son…….my perfect son….” he turned as he felt his wife’s cool hands push weakly against his arm due to exhaustion , ”Let me…..let me see our son.” she said, weakly smiling as she put heavy emphasis on “our”.

Hikaru chuckled lightly as he carefully handed their son to his mother, putting him gently into the arms of his wife. ”He’s beautiful…..” she said lovingly as she gazed down at her ‘beautiful’ son as she held him up against her chest. After a long moment of silence, in which both new parent’s were staring down at their son, Vera looked up at her husband, ’What’s his name..?’ She asked, knowing what they had agreed upon and just wanting to hear her husband say the words. Hikaru spoke again, "Our son is Shin Uchiha"

Early Life
He was raised as any caring and loving parent would raise their child, he was quick to develop and even from a young age, it was plainly obvious that he was an incredibly curious child, getting into anything and everything he could, which was sometimes a good thing and at other times a bad thing. His excessive natural curiosity caused him to get injured quite often, which in turn caused his parents to be rather over protective. His love of being outside, in nature, rolling around in the snow, quickly became quenched in overprotectiveness as his parents forced him to remain inside more often, teaching him to read, [which he was able to do at the age of 3] and once he was able, he found a way to satisfy his curiousity. He found the food for his mind in the books he had previously resented.

Academy

Since birth it wasn't long until Shin learned the secrets of his clan and what abilities he was good at. His father had always wished for him to be the best, awaiting the day he was of age to begin learning so that one day he may not only follow in his footsteps but overcome him. Shin was going to be the prodigy, the top fighter of the Uchiha clan whom could defeat anyone. So much training had occured before Shin entered the Academy, that by the time his 8th birthday rolled around, he was more than willing to enter the Konohagakure Ninja Academy.

Shin enjoyed the intellectual stimulation the Academy provided, his natural curiosity and intelligence helped him through the classes, however having to wait for others to complete classes, finding those who failed to grasp the fairly simple concepts irritating and a wast of time. However after four years Shin graduated the academy near the top of his class.Now graduated from the Academy, Shin was eager to commence on his Genin Career, eager to make a name for himself and bask in the fame it will present.

"I like that name, it seems strong and is also nice to say!"Alaric didnt flush with the compliment, which in itself was a great accomplishment, it also meant he was getting used to her. "It's also a pleasure meeting you, Alaric Doran. And don't worry about it at all. There has been no trouble. As I said before then my name is Rena, Rena Lionward." She shook his hand firmly, her hand was smoother compared to his, his life in Mt. Hakobe and the work involved had left his hands dry and calloused . When she let go and dropped her hand, Alaric did the same.

“So where are you from Alaric?" He looked at her as she tilted her head slightly, noting the curious look on her face. 'She‘s the type to ask alot of questions, I bet.’ he thought to himself as she voiced another question. "Are you a mage? Perhaps a part of some guild?" Alaric did not answer these questions right away, preferring to answer all questions she may have at once, this way he’d have a better control over how much he revealed about himself.It wasn’t that he didn’t like her, her liked her very much, she seemed kind, but he wasnt the type to easily trust people. "I should warn you now that I ask a LOT of questions, and it seems like there is no way of making me shut up!" Alric noticed her eyes sparked as she said that and the sight made him sad a bit. She seemed so light and free compared to him, his eyes were always the cold, calculating. A glimpse of curiosity may sometimes light them, but lately, happiness was hard to find. “"I guess you could say I am a mage also, even if I don't have that much experience with that department. I tend to just rely on the things at hand."” He watched her hand go down to pat her gun on her hip ‘So she‘s the opposite of me?’ Long raged rather than close range. His mind by default calculated what advantages he would have. He consciously had almost no control over it.


"And I haven't found any guild yet to join. I have no idea how to actually look and then decide what is a good one or a bad one to join. And then it's the question if I would actually have the skills and experience to be able to join one." Alaric stayed silent during the entire exchange, not the type to interrupt her. He also wanted to make sure he got all of her -many- questions before replying. He brought his hand up to his chin thinking for a moment as his eyes drifted over to the squirrel who was now edging towards the cookie which Rena had tossed towards him. Then with a sudden burst of speed the squirrel zipped to the cookie and took off up the tree."A curious little fella." Rena chuckled.

”Yes.“ a smile playing it’s way onto his face. “Curious indeed.” he said aloud before falling silent for a moment, ‘Evidently the squirrel is not the only curious one’ Alaric took a small bite of the Tim-Tam before he began to answer her questions. “ I was born on Mt. Hakobe and have lived there most of my life....but recently I started to travel around. Alaric carefully worked to keep his tone light and to stray away from talking parents, he did not know or trust Rena well enough to discuss such matters. “I am a mage, although Im fairly lacking in experience. My magic relies on the creation and manipulation of ice.” He smiled and shifted his legs until he was sitting comfortably cross legged in front of Rena. “Although I use Ice, I prefer to use my swords also.” He patted his two swords on his right side and continued speaking, “I am not within a guild, however; I am searching for one, albeit a bit slowly. I am more interested in exploring at the current time.”

He decided it was time to switch the questions back on her, “What about you? Where are you from? What kind of magic do you use? He was more curious about her magic than where she was from, merely because he had seen such few types of magic after leaving his home and was wondering how other magics would fair compared to his. It wasnt because he was unfriendly, it was merely his habit of trying to be prepared for all outcomes that made him want to learn of her magic.
