    Spoiler:

Leon shivered as the rain came down, causing the tree branches he was hiding in to shiver as well and drop more water on the ground below. It had been just one week since the mission request came into Kumogakure, one of dire importance to the Raikage due to the sudden disappearances of multiple civilians in one of Kumo’s nearby vassal villages. Two days ago they had finally managed to capture one of the missing nin responsible for the kidnappings, and once that was out, a whole slew of information came out as well.

It was nerve wracking to Leon, and disgusting, to think that people could treat other human beings in such a way. The missing nin had been capturing and torturing civilians for months, according to the one being questioned. Their goal was to turn civilians into mindless slaves, and even possible ninja despite their lack of training. The goal of these missing ninja was stunning, and brought a question to light: Where did this idea come from, and how did they get the facilities without the major nations noticing?

The answer was… unnerving. It had seemed that at the end of the Fourth Shinobi war, when all of Orochimaru’s and Kabuto’s research and labs were supposed to have been destroyed, someone, be it the leader of Akatsuki, or some lowly grunt working for the two, had stolen the maps of the facilities used and research data, and ran. For decades, they lay in hiding, until finally old age and guilty conscious drove them to the point of near insanity. By selling the information on the black market, the old lab worker died the next day from natural causes, as a knife into the heart is natural indeed in the shinobi world.

The documents eventually fell into the hands of a missing ninja who had been infatuated with the stories of Orochimaru from a young age, and believed that this was a god send, telling him that he had believed right; Orochimaru wasn’t evil, and that the continuation of this research now belonged to him. The old facilities were started up again, and soon the number of missing ninja working on the experiments grew drastically, each one wanting to carve their own path in the legacy that was Orochimaru.

Leon shook his head and cleared it of all the thoughts he was having. He needed to concentrate here, as this would require his entire body, mind, and soul to be synced up to pull this mission off. Losing track of where he was, and why, right outside one of the most active facilities of this corrupted influence and experimentation, was not what Leon should be doing, nor was it safe. In fact, if Leon hadn’t had the Raikage scout the area out before he took this mission, he would have almost missed his cue, as the guard change was about to occur. This was the moment when Leon was supposed to infiltrate the base, the only time the complex defense systems were shut down so that people could leave.

The kidnapping of the civilians occurred between the times of the guard changes, their captive had said. For 12 hours multiple missing ninja would be gone from the base, having slept, drank, and ate. This was the time when the base was least secure, or at least had the least amount of people in it, allowing Leon to move around easier without being questioned. Or at least questioned too much. The only personnel left in the base were supposedly the researchers, and soon to be Leon.

He had a plan for this as well. When they caught the missing ninja in the small village outside Kumogakure, he had been hiding in a small place where practically no one would have found him, had Leon not been there. Being one of the few master sensors in Kumogakure, it had been slightly difficult, but not that hard, to pinpoint the foreign chakra and extract the ninja. Based on this, Leon could easily by pass the guards on why he was late, and why he had no captives with him. The fact that he was wearing the missing ninjas dirty, smelly, sewer covered clothing helped matters drastically. A henge wouldn’t be able to replicate the smell, and thus with much disdain, Leon had consented to wear the disgusting garments.

Stretching and forming a handseal, Leon searched his memory for the face, body structure, and everything else he remembered about the ninja they had captured, and expelled a small amount of chakra, nigh unnoticeable at this time due to the conflicting and clashing chakras everywhere. Slowly, to Leon at least, his form changed. A beard became evident, his face became more stout and scarred, and the clothing he was wearing seemed to fill up. The missing ninja was big, but small. According to the data Leon had managed to glean from him, he was mainly a ninjutsu user, but a coward. Hopefully the elements were close to Leons, since that would make life so much easier. But, since that was the case, Leon was sure it wouldn’t be like that. The build of the man denoted Earth affinity, and from the temper that was displayed in the interrogation room, possibly a Fire affinity as well, both of which Leon didn’t have.

Rolling his neck, Leon jumped down from the tree and walked, limping and seemingly exhausted, towards the entrance where he had just seen the multiple ninja coming from. Now was when the information he had received would be put to the test, and Leons fortitude would be also, judging from the screams he could hear rocking the ground and the door with their vibrations.

Finally reaching the entrance, because it was a pain in the ass to walk that whole way while performing a false limp and having it seem real, Leons first challenge awaited, the guards. If the pass code was wrong, or they had master sensors on the gates, it would all be for nothing and then Leon would need to resort to plan B: Destroy everyone and retrieve the documents.

The entrance was right in front of him, the gate right there. Leon could almost touch it if he extended his hand, but there was a slight problem. Said problem involved two guards that Leon could not feel. Normally, Leon could sense anyone that wasn’t a master sensor, which included over a good three quarters of all ninja. The fact that these two were just… gone from that ability only meant one thing. They were also sensor types, and highly proficient.

This was going to be the beginning set of problems, Leon could tell. From the looks of the door, there was a set card slot, touch pad for numbers, and voice recognition software to get inside the facility. The ninja that they had captured just outside of Kumogakure had not had a pass card on them, nor in the clothes they were wearing, meaning only one thing. The guards had the cards, and in order for everyone to come inside, one of the guards needed to open the gates. Leon sighed and approached the gates again, now knowing that his plan wouldn’t work in the slightest because of these new complications.

”Hey, you there. Yeah, you. Shorty. Stop.” One voice called out. Little did they know that calling out to Leon would be one of the worse things they had done in a few days. By listening to the voice as one of the guards called out to him, Leon managed to memorize the pitch and tone, and called back, testing out one of his old abilities from his days back on the streets.

”Yeah? What do you want?” Leon replied, smiling in satisfaction and a small amount of relief as the same grating tone that he was just questioned with came out of his own mouth. The guard frowned and gestured for his companion to follow him, both heading for Leon. Groaning mentally, Leon realized that probably wasn’t one of his brighter moves, setting the guards on high alert so soon. Flipping through his jutsu repertoire as the guards approached him, Leon settled on one that did not require handseals, but would throw off his entire Henge. Luckily for him, the rain pouring down would obscure any trace of video evidence that Leon was here in any way, shape, or form, since the facility was underground and the cameras would not only need to contend with rain, but dirt, blowing leaves and twigs, and a mist that was rising around the underground base due to the amount of heat in the base.

”You there… what is your name? And why aren’t you out with the others?” the same guard asked, reaching his hand down into the pouch attached to his right thigh, most likely reaching for a Kunai. The other guard did the same, causing Leon to shake his head slightly. Why was it that any ninja, when first confronted with an unknown threat, reached for a Kunai? Or a set of Shuriken judging from the muscle twitches of the silent guard. The odds of actually hitting an enemy with that move at the very start of a battle were almost none, because almost every shinobi started off every battle that way. Really, Leon shook his head. He would have thought that some other ninja would have figured it out by now, especially ones who ran from authorities and killed for a living.

Leon stumbled forward, keeping his limp and exhausted steps intact as he moved. Now was not the time to give away his position, not yet. He needed to be just a bit closer, just within arm’s reach would work. ”Eww… you smell like sewage… what happened?” the guard said, wrinkling his nose but catching Leon all the same, removing his hand from his pocket. The silent guard did the same and moved to help steady Leon. The smell was terrible, a mixture of shit, garbage, rotting animal and rotting fruit all combined into one package. Exhaling softly, Leon made to speak and pretended to cough drastically, pushing the guards away slightly. Worried, they stayed within arm’s reach, hands back within their weapon pouches. While they were still missing ninja, attacking and killing someone right off the bat that might be sick was against some remaining moral code, especially one who held a position such as the one Leon’s henge did. This had Leon slightly confused as they looked worried. How important exactly was this guy anyways? Leon shook his head and finished coughing, clearing the unimportant questions from his head. Importance didn’t matter the research did.

Looking up, Leon let his henge fade slightly and he dove at the guards, small balls of lightning on the tips of his fingers as he did so. Tapping the stunned guard in the chest, Leon turned to the second one, and winced as the shuriken that flew towards him sliced into his shoulder. Swearing, Leon judged the distance between the two fighters. Approximately… 3 meters.. plenty close enough, judging a full touch with this jutsu had the person struck still convulsing even seconds after. Pointing his left finger at the enemy sensor, Leon dropped the henge and mouthed a ‘Bang’ as the ball of lightning shot straight from his finger and slammed into the sensors chest. Electricity shot all across his body as he fell, although dropped would be a more accurate word.

Leon dropped his hand, and was about to drop his guard and release the jutsu to search the bodies for a card to swipe, when the creaking and groaning of the giant metal door opening caught his attention. Jumping out of the line of site of the door, Leon shook his head and groaned mentally as 3 large and burly missing ninja came out of the base and looked around. Apparently the sensor had set off some sort of hidden alarm inside the base, alerting the researchers and the guards that there was an intruder. Luckily for Leon he had managed to get out of the line of site in time, but it was going to be tricky getting back inside.

Looking behind the burly ninja, Leon noticed the door was still open, but shutting on its own slowly. He swore under his breath, his mind now running at an extremely fast rate and adrenaline flowing. At the rate the door was shutting, he had maybe one minute to finish these ninja off and get inside, if that. A slight hiss from Leons fingertips drew his attention downwards, the rain causing small sparks of electricity to come off the tips. One minute… Leon sighed and closed his eyes for a split second, centering himself using a trick Riku taught him ages ago. A flame in the center of his mind, all his thoughts and worries being burned by that flame… that was the trick Riku had taught Leon before the isolation training began. He called it the Void, and a void it was.

Reopening his eyes, Leon studied the scene, noticing that all 3 missing ninja were coming out of the tunnel. Their backs were facing where Leon was hiding, but their heads kept turning, easily covering any blind spot they had.

    45 seconds left.

Crouching slightly, Leon jumped, a bullet diving straight for the center of the ninja. While he wasn’t a Taijutsu specialist, a burst of chakra to the soles of the feet the moment of the jump did wonders for the speed at which Leon moved. Extending his hands outwards, Leon crashed into the ninja with his back directly facing Leon. The lightning orbs blinked and flickered out from his pinky fingers, entering the man’s body from behind and causing massive convulsions. Standing up as quickly as he could, Leon ducked and dove forward again, jamming his right hand into the gut of one ninja, and his left as an upwards strike, gouging his hand into the missing ninjas shoulder, just above his collarbone. The lightning balls hissed and escaped into the bodies, causing the other two ninja to drop. Leon exhaled slowly and stood up. 30 seconds remained until the door was shut, plenty of time.

Walking nonchalantly towards the door, Leon opening it slightly, exerting a bit more strength than he originally thought he would have needed to, and reopened the door slightly, climbing into the base. A soft slam of the door was all that was heard, and then all was quiet, the rain pouring down over the five downed bodies.

Just inside the metal door that signified the entrance to the research facility, Leon was huddled in a corner, waiting to see who, if anyone, would respond to the now dying alarm that was set off outside. That had been a close encounter, and had Leon messed up in any way, shape, or form, he would not be in the base right now. Wincing as he rotated his right arm, Leon held in a gasp of pain as he felt the scab tear open again. He had been careless and now this was what he had to deal with.

Being a puppet user, Leon was not as used to physical harm and activities as other Nin would need to be. From the background Leon could control his puppets with precision, something that required him to be very dexterous, not strong or fast. So, due to that kind of fighting style, it was unlikely for Leon to have any form of healing salves, or pain reducers. This wouldn’t be a lessen he forgot easily, as the sheer discomfort of the wound made concentrating harder than normal. Apparently the shuriken had dug into the skin deeper than he had originally assumed, or the jumping around he had done with the response guards tore something else in his shoulder.

Feeling slightly dizzy, Leon reached into his basic ninja pouch and pulled out a small vial. It was a small, green, toxic looking liquid, and Leon grimaced just looking at it. The vial held a generic antidote for any form of venom, being able to stave off the effects of being poisoned for any type of poison at least half a hour. However this type of antidote was very weak against higher ranking poisons, and if Leon had been infected by anything above a Jounin grade poison, he was in trouble. He remembered stories of the legendary Akasuna no Sasori, a master of poisons that had no antidote for years on end. Of course, there was obviously a better medic then Sasori was a poison creator, as the stories went about how he originally died, but regardless, if he had been able to make poisons of that caliber, then Leon could also.

Gritting his teeth, Leon stood up and tore off part of his shirt, looking for the wound. Luckily it was on his back, otherwise there was no way to even bandage such a thing. He began to wrap the wound, but then remembered the state of the clothes he was in, causing him to almost be knocked unconscious due to the foul smell of the garment and rag he was about to place on an open wound. Sighing, Leon stuck his head out of the doorway and stared down the hallway discreetly, waiting for someone to walk by.

As luck would have it, or not have it, Leon did not need to wait long. However, this surprise ambush he had set up was more of a failure, as a tap on his shoulder caused Leon to jump up in surprise and smash his head into the metal piping above. His heart pounding, Leon slowly turned around and looked at the figure behind him, clad in a white medical coat, and plugging his nose with one hand. Not even trusting the stench to open his mouth and speak, the researcher motioned for Leon to follow him.

Now, here was the dilemma Leon faced. While he was almost positive that the man they had kidnapped was a, for lack of a better term, ghost, Leon couldn’t be sure. The researcher obviously didn’t recognize him, but the uniform itself was distinguishable and only, as it would seem from the captives words, given to members of a certain facility. Each facility had a different uniform, headband, and pass code, allowing the members of each facility to recognize their own members as need be. Given that Leon had decided to wear the disgusting old rags as part of this mission, he managed to blend in easily.

Sighing and climbing to his feet, Leon followed the researcher down the corridors, making a note of where the lefts and rights were, where the emergency fire escapes were, and where the ventilation systems were. That was a big factor in this mission, if Leon could manage to get the research and get out, the destroying of the base. Of course Leon had many plans already in construction for that part of the plan, but now was neither the time nor the place to think about that kind of thing.

Entering a small room off the side of one of the corridors, Leon noted the number 33-6-10 etched into the top of the door frame. While it would be easy for those who lived in this base month after month, Leon had little to no knowledge of how the base was set up. He could only assume 10 meant the room number. The other two umbers were beyond his current comprehension, and thus Leon shrugged and closed the door behind him, waiting for the researcher to tell him what was going on. As he walked forward slightly, the researcher, his head currently in his notepad writing something down furiously, walked away from Leon and stopped next to a giant power generator with a large switch on top. Setting the notepad down, Leon watched in amazement as the boney, far from being muscular old researcher flipped the giant switch with ease. And then the room lit up, catching Leons attention, much to his amazement, and as he examined the room even more, much to his disgust.

There have been accounts of Orochimaru’s facilities and their setups throughout the many years since his death. Stories of the walls being lined with research papers, giant pits filled with humans and animals, each fighting for their lives in their own fashion. Some just died quietly in their sleep, others killed those who were unaware, and even others killed themselves. It was a terrible time for anyone who was kidnapped, their lives suddenly nothing in the face of the fervor of Orochimaru and his lab assistants. Those who managed to survive or escape were unforgettably and undeniably changed forever, their minds engraved by the horrors they experienced, and by the experimentations they were subjected too.

It was a long time before all the bases were found and destroyed or shut down. They actually were required to be destroyed regardless of any Kage decision, the research inside and the amount of horrors that had been experienced in there too dangerous to leave untouched. Being it was Orochimaru’s facilities, there were bound to be multiple secret compartments, rooms, and passages throughout the entire honeycomb structure of the base. If the bases weren’t destroyed, who knew what else was hiding in the abandoned base, which one of his insane creations or equipment lay in wait for someone to find and/or free it.

That was exactly what had happened at the facility Leon was currently in, and attempting to destroy with the research unharmed. The task itself was difficult on so many levels that it could have been considered a suicide mission had Leon not requested information about the base and its changes beforehand. Alone, one mistake could cost Leon his life, his career, and everything he had worked for in this lifetime. His path would be overgrown and closed before he even had a chance to see where it lead, be it to fame and glory or infamy.

As the researcher had flipped the giant switch and turned all of the equipment on; the lights, machinery, and whatever else was in the room, Leon couldn’t help but stare for a moment before composing himself. Regardless if he was supposed to be a missing nin stationed in this base for however long, the site still should have taken anyone’s breath away, be it from awe or disgust. The roar of the machinery started up and filled the room, causing Leon to cringe slightly before he looked behind him and saw a box of earplugs. Grabbing one and shoving them in, Leon sighed in mute relief as the roar of the machinery died down to a mere buzz, something that would fade away within time as he got used to the area.

The researcher beckoned Leon, slightly confused by his actions, but given his state of appearance, it could only be that he wasn’t in the right mindset. The lack of bodies would also point at that, and the fact that Leon was here when he should have been out kidnapping. Hopefully nothing would be asked, especially in this loud environment, and Leon could get away while in this situation relatively unscathed. If it was possible, judging from the environment.

The room… the room was much larger than any information given to the Raikage from their captive had led them to believe. Much, much, much larger. Along the walls, well, across the floor actually were giant metal boxes, whirling with machinery noises. They were arranged in rows, filling up the entire room, easily having lines of 10 per row. The sheer size of the contraptions shook Leon slightly, since he was staring at one row, and if he moved and looked down one of the side passages, the rows seemed to extended forever, easily 50 rows in this room. The scope of this experiment was amazing, terrifying, and shocking. Leon wasn’t exactly even sure of what he felt when he was taking in the scope of this, just that it was part of a much larger scale operation than Kumogakure and the Raikage were led to believe.

However, the boxes weren’t near the impressiveness as what was on them and connected to them. At first glance they looked like tubes of boiling water. They had cables connected to them, running up and down the sides of the entire machine, and across the ceiling. That in itself wouldn’t be that bad, and cause Leon to not think much about the machines if he hadn’t seen what was in one of the capsules as the bubbling water halted for a second.

The glimpse was so quick that Leon thought he had imagined it for a second, attributing it to the flickering lights and shadows flickering across the room due to all of the machinery, but when the researcher finally stopped walking and ended up in front of a tube, Leon had no more doubts about what had been seen.

In the tube was a female : brown hair, fair skin, and completely nude. Machinery ran throughout the tube, an oxygen mask on her face which, while she was knocked out, seemed to be contorted in pain from the experiments. Needles and tubes stuck out of her skin and if Leon looked closely at the tubes, he could see different colored liquids flowing in and out of her body, masked by the bubbles. The researcher just jotted down a few notes, and started walking away, muttering under his breath. All Leon managed to catch was ’Senju’ before the researched was almost out of the aisle. Looking at the woman again, Leon noticed the nameplate on the front of the capsule. Senju #53

Looking around, Leon noticed the other name plates were the same. Judging from the order and the amount of capsules, he could assume that there were multiple bloodline experiments going on here, most likely ranging from Senju to clans and bloodlines he didn’t even know because they were from other countries. A pit of fire began burning in the pit of his stomach, Leon turned to the researcher who was still writing in his notebook and reached for him.

The researcher had no idea who or what hit him. So engrossed in his notebook, he did not see, or even sense Leon’s malicious intent as Leon grabbed him from behind and spun him around quickly, connecting a swift right fist to the researchers temple. While Leon didn’t have as much physical strength as a Taijutsu user, he was strong enough due to constant physical work out to be able to take down someone from a solid temple hit. Which is what he did, dragging the researchers unconscious body down the rows of machinery and experiments to a nearby storage closet he had noticed when he first walked in.

Throwing the researcher in, Leon did a quick scan around the general area using both eyes and chakra sensing. Seeing or sensing nothing, he closed the door swiftly and grabbed the notebook from the researchers hand, rifling through it and skimming random pages. From the amount of data in there, and the image of the researcher, Leon could assume he wasn’t the head researcher, but still did tests on all subjects, allowing this notebook to be what Leon was looking for without him needing to go and find the head researcher or break into the archives that any base this size would need to have.

Pulling out a storage scroll that he always kept on his body, although it was normally used to hold his puppets, Leon unsealed his main puppet, his pride, joy, and at the moment his main attack force and put the research documents in its place. Sighing, he looked at the unconscious researcher and pondered for a second, debating if he really wanted to kill this man personally, or have him go down with the rest of the facility. Leon blinked and shook his head. Destroying the main facility now that he had the documentation was his main priority. Looking around the storage room, Leon managed to find a couple bottles of chemicals with the generic explosive sticker on them, just what he needed. Attaching his strings to the puppet he released, he activated the weapon system and watched, smiling slightly disturbingly, at the puppet split into 5.

Four of the puppets; Kaze, Mizu, Denkou, and Tsuchi, grabbed a bottle and moved out of the door, uncapping the bottles and slowly spilling the contents across the floor. Leon kept another two bottles next to him, saving them for when he left. Hi on the other hand, moved into the approximate center of the room and began emitting a mist from its knees and shoulders. The mist contained no smell, but Leon know what it contained, regardless of whether or not it could be smelled.

The mist being emitted was actually a highly explosive liquid, normally filling up approximately a fifteen meter radius and five meters in height, but with the way the ventilation system was working, the mist would soon be throughout the entire base. Leon smiled slightly as he watched everything progress as it should, his previous four puppets managing to spill the explosive liquid over a good majority of the base and so he began to recall them back while Hi finished emitting the explosive mist from its containers.

And then everything began to go to hell.

The fluctuating chakra due to the strings, and the unconscious researcher in the storage closet must have triggered off the other sensors in the base, because while Leon was calling back his four puppets, two kunai flew from the right and sliced through his vest, causing droplets of blood to extrude from his chest. Swearing, Leon jumped back and pulled his puppets toward him quickly, reaching down with his free hand, as the 5 puppets only took 5 fingers, and grabbed his scroll, unsealing the next puppet.

The giant lizard like creature landed on one of the test tubes, crushing anything inside instantly, not allowing even a small chance of surviving. Imagining a roar in his head, and making a mental note to put a small voice box in this puppet for that exact effect, Leon caused the puppet to swing its tail at the two speeding Jounin on the right, the impact of the puppets, Jaianto’s, tail and steel plating covering the tail to cause the rib cage to break and essentially shatter, the force exploding their hearts immediately. Turning to the next sensor, Leon winced and coughed, spitting up blood as a kunai tip went through his vest and entered his abdomen. The tip was literally a small point in his stomach, but the resulting force caused the coughing and wheezing.

Turning Jaianto, Mizu, and Denkou towards the speeding sensor , Leon steadied himself against the wall as he twitched his fingers slightly, causing the mouth and chest cavities on all three puppets to open and spew a torrent of senbon at the sensor, covering their entire body with the needles. Turning the other three around, Leon performed the same hand movement and caused the rest of the senbon in the magazines attached to the senbon machine guns to spew across the room. Bouncing off and detaching random metal parts of the machinery, Leon stumbled toward the entrance, pulling the kunai from his gut and hissing in pain.

Before Leon exited the base, he formed a seal and felt for the senbon discharged by Denkou. They were charged with Raiton chakra gathered by the generator, and using a certain jutsu, Leon could extend the charge outwards to the other metal objects lying around, precisely what he was doing now. Sighing in relief and pain as he managed to extend the charge, Leon formed a multitude of handseals and began concentrating on those objects, the hundreds of metal senbon and pieces of the machinery lying around the area with the capsules. Feeling the pulse and throb of the electrical energy in the next room, and hearing the zap of lightning bolts forming and receding, Leon released the jutsu after feeding it more chakra and took the two jugs he had made Kaze carry as they left the storage closet and exited the base, and threw them against the floor in front of him, causing them to explode outwards, covering the floor in flammable liquid. A small explosion in the other room caused Leon to hurry up with the resealing of Jaianto, and he rushed out of the base as more explosions began occurring, sounding like loud and exploding popcorn. The mist Hi had excreted into the air earlier had reached the ventilation systems and gone throughout the base, so Leon picked up speed and dove passed what he thought was the outer limits of the base based on the mental map he had built following the researcher.

    He was wrong.

His eyes widening as the erupting and exploding ground grew ever closer to him, and the increasing pain of the stab wound in his gut, Leon realized he couldn’t run anymore and did the next best thing to prevent himself from dying in the explosion, wrapping the puppets around him in such a way that he would be cocooned from the explosion in a ball shape, and waited. He wasn’t disappointed, being forcibly thrown across the mountain range and downwards as the explosion reached him.

Finally rolling to a stop on a plateau, Leon slowly unraveled himself from the and winced, a giant burn mark showing up in the middle of his chest, slowly blistering from a hole in his puppet bal that had let the flames in to where he was. Rolling out of the puppet formation, Leon cried out in pain as he landed on his left arm, his legs unresponsive for the moment due to being numb from the cramped position he was in. The bone was probably broken, maybe displaced… Yep, displaced. Wincing again and biting his cheek to prevent the tears from rolling down his face just due to the pure pain of a dislocated limb, Leon popped his shoulder back into place and collapsed from the sitting position he was just in, moving his left hand slowly while he reattached puppet strings to the 5 puppets again, slowly putting them back into their original form, the one puppet. Unsealing the documents, and resealing the puppet, Leon stuffed the research into one of the slits made by the enemies kunai in his vest, causing the documents to sit between the fabric without falling out, and began a long journey home. Doubtless there would be another mission waiting for him when he got back, but that’s just the way things rolled in kumogakure.
