Age: 15 Age Appearance: 17 Appearance:  Description: Ke-Ji is an average looking male boy from the Konoha region. He has short black hair and deep red eyes resembling blood. Each of his ears are pierced along twice along the outside of his cartilage. He wears a long burgundy Shinobi scarf which he occasionally uses to cover his face. Underneath of his scarf rests a long metal chain necklace. His fingernails are painted black. On his side rests the pouch containing his ninja tools. His clothing is nothing special, various symbols crafted by the weavers within Konoha. A sash matching his scarf is tied around his waist. His complexion is average, as is his height and weight for a young Shinobi Genin. During times of stress or happiness Ke-Ji’s eyes change color. Clan/Bloodline: None Personality: Ke-Ji is a kind hearted and excitable Shinobi from Konohagakure. Always quick to tell a joke or offer a smile; he is a true example of a carefree ninja. Fiercely loyal to his comrades, and Konoha; Ke-Ji is the type of partner anyone would want to have at their side, both on the battlefield and off. Ke-Ji often wears his hear on his sleeve, almost literally, often showing his emotions with the change in color of his eyes. Ke-Ji is the type of ninja who tends to shy away from battle, often preferring not to hurt or injure another person. His ability with Jutsu however has kept him within the mix of Shinobi for as long as he can remember. Tremendously emotional, Ke-Ji often finds himself letting his emotions getting the best of him, sometimes getting him into unwanted trouble. Goals: Ke-Ji's goals for now, as a young Genin are simply to become a better Ninja, Protect Konoha, make his Sensei proud, and make a name for himself as a genius among Ninja. Ke-Ji Kenneru was born in an area of Kusagakure during a time of great turmoil and strife. His parents, a pair of Missing Shinobi of unknown origin settled into this small country with the hope of raising their child away from the warfare that ravaged the land. Attempting to conceal their power, the couple survived for years as a pair of migrant workers, living off of the land and raising their newborn son. Mirubari Kenneru, Ke-Ji's father and an S rank master of Fuuinjutsu, fearing for Ke-Ji's future well-being, taught the young toddler numerous hand signs, against his wife Saratobi's wishes. As Ke-Ji's skills with hand sign speed grew, Mirubari began explaining to the small child, the Ninja arts, including the most basic Jutsu styles and forms. At the age of Four however, Ke-Ji's life changed forever. Mirubari and Saratobi discovered by a group of unidentified assailants, were killed for the bounty's placed upon their heads by the village they had defected from. As Ke-Ji rested, wounded in his dying father's arms, Mirubari, the Master of Seals summoned a Jutsu to seal Ke-Ji's memories of his parents and the village that he was born in. The fighting between the Missing Ninja and the mercenary group demolished the small village that Ke-Ji's parents lived in, and caused the death of most of the villagers. The carnage had been so severe that a group of Konoha Shinobi traveling through the area, stopped to inspect the village for survivors. It was at this time that they discovered a four year old boy, perfectly mimicking hand signs for Jutsu that he was unable to perform yet. The Jounin Captain of the Konoha squad took the boy back to Konoha, and began Ke-Ji's career as a Shinobi.
Child Arc Ages 5-12 - Spoiler:
Since his inception into the hidden Leaf Village, Ke-Ji had a difficult time finding a permanent home, often shifting among temporary families who were unable to keep him for more than a few months. With Ke-Ji's memory of his village and family gone, he often kept a solemn demeanor and monotone expression. When asked of his family he often spoke of the feeling of a vast emptiness, and infinite darkness, one which he could not describe well enough at such a young age... equating his family simply to nothingness. Finding a teacher was difficult, as many of the Chuunin and Jounin within the village often had their hands full with the Genin that were native within the leaf. It wasn't until the age of Seven that Ke-Ji happened upon an elderly sage, long since retired in the arts of Jutsu. With his heirs dead, and his talents fading, the old man sat quietly on a bench within the Leaf Village where children did not often tread. It was this place that Ke-Ji found serenity, amongst the birds that were attracted by the seeds tossed by the elderly sage. The sage and Ke-Ji spoke to one another over the course of the next few years. The Sage, told Ke-Ji of his battles and abilities, and Ke-Ji told the old man of his sporadic training with the various teachers within Konoha. Ke-Ji learned that the old Sage was master of Fuuinjutsu, a style that most Genin though too weak and useless to learn. Ke-Ji impressed the sage with his tremendous and unexplainable speed with hand signs. The two formed a magnificent bond, and a teacher gained a new student. As the years progressed, Ke-Ji learned the Sage's techniques quickly, picking up Jutsu and chakra control at an alarming rate, prompting the Sage to come up with new and exciting lessons for Ke-Ji to learn on a regular basis. At the age of Nine Ke-Ji flew through his Academy training on the wings of his vast knowledge gained from the old Sage Marak, gradutating at the age of Ten. As a gift for completing the academy so quickly, Sage Marak taught Ke-Ji the art of summoning and bestowed Ke-Ji with a special contract likened to his own, a Peregrin Falcon known as Vulcan. The mastering of this summon took Ke-Ji longer than a year, but perfection would not escape him. When Ke-Ji entered his Sensei's home nearly two years after learning how to summon, to tell the man of his magnificent accomplishment... he found the old Sage had passed on, a smile playing upon his features. Ke-Ji blinked... holding his head as the pain rushed through him, his eyes shut and he became distant. Upon reopening his eyes... he wondered why he was in this place, and who the man was in front of him. He turned, and exited the home, back to find his Jounin Captain.
Teenage Arc: Ages 13 - 15 - Spoiler:
It was at this time that many of the elder ninja within Konoha began to take interest in the talented child of questionable background. Many questioned his powerful abilities, and grew fearful of his inability to explain his power. Many began keeping tabs on his progress, taking special precaution against this Genin who was unable to account for large lapses in his memories. His Fuuinjutsu progressed exponentially and the speed of his hand signs often humbled even the most seasoned Jounin. It was because of his tremendous potential... and shady background, that he was often held back, in both missions and training. He often shifted between teams and captains, unable to build a steady rapport with any group, giving him the false reputation of being an unskilled ninja. It has been two years since his activation as a Genin, and Ke-Ji grows impatient, hoping that he can find a permanent team with whom he can progress his skills.
RP Sample: Ke-Ji kicks the soft soil around his feet outwards towards the open field ahead of him. As one hand flicked out the seed held within, the other played gently at the back of his head. He sighed... "Left behind again..." The birds gleefully pecked at the seeds scattered around the bench where Ke-Ji sat. Some of the feathered aviators even sat right up beside the young Ninja, having grown quite accustomed to his presence over the years, not unlike the Elderly Sage who had sat here in much the same manner. After relieving his hand of the seed he quickly brushed the remaining dust from his hand with a gentle clap. A stretch offered an audible crack of his bones, giving the birds beside him a slight startle... it was apparent that he had been sitting there for quite some time. The slim ninja stood slowly, long burgundy scarf falling down, just skimming the ground below. A second stretch offered even more relief to his tensed muscles. "What a drag..." Ke-Ji turned to the left and began walking down the steps just beside the wooden bench that he had been sitting on. 'Why am I always the one left out?' he thought to himself... 'What have I done that is so terrible?' His hands moved slowly into the pockets of his slacks, and his head tilted aimlessly towards the sky, careful not to damage his eyes from the sun rays. Pebbles and small rocks tumble as the young ninja kicks them down the long and winding stairway. "Someone should really clean up around here..." It would be quite a long walk to the bottom. They can summon the said animal and complete several types of jutsu with the summoned animal, or some times even summon body parts of the said animal.
