Name: Hissori Clan
Founder: Ryoushi Hissori
Location: In the forests on the mountains, nearby Kumogakure. They are nomads, moving all over the mountainside but never straying too far away from Kumogakure.
History: Many years ago, the Raikage’s eldest daughter was kidnapped from her house. He called on many ninja to find her, promising anything they desire and his eternal friendship. However, every one of them came back empty handed. One man, though, stepped up and vowed to track down and retrieve the Raikage’s daughter. His name was Ryoushi Hissori. He came from a family of hunters who tracked wild animals and sold them at market. He was an average ninja, but was said to be an excellent swordsman.
Since even the most talented of the Villages’ ninja had failed to track down the kidnapper, no-one truly believed that this man could succeed, but the Raikage, who was desperately looking for hope, allowed him access to the note the man left behind with the words “I have your daughter” written upon it. Ryoushi departed, and tracked the kidnappers using his secret technique, that would eventually develop into the clans’ Kekkei Genkai, Keiji.
For a week he was gone and hope slowly faded away. But on the eighth day he returned with the daughter, two men in chains and a bag that was dripping. He gave the daughter back and announced that the three men were the kidnappers. When asked where the third man was, he threw down the bag and a head rolled out. He explained that he had tried to bribe him and he took offence since he had vowed to bring back the daughter. All he asked in return for his deed was a sword, since his had been broken in the fight with the kidnappers. The Raikage had sword of indescribable sharpness and quality made for him.
Ryoushi settled down, got married and had five children. He died an old man after teaching his children how to control and properly use the Keiji and seeing them grow up to be exceptional ninja. Eventually the family evolved into a well respected ninja clan, known for its hunters, trackers and bounty hunters. Every ninja carries a sword in memory of Ryoushi, and training with swords is a mandatory practise within the clan. As a rule, they stay out of Village politics and as a result they have slipped into some obscurity. However, they still remain on good terms with the Raikages due to their efficiency and loyalty.
In recent days, the Hissori clan has become something of a myth. Slipping further and further into obscurity until now people believe they are only a fable or that the clan died out. However, they are still highly active in Kumokagure, watching and waiting for any threat to reveal itself before striking and disappearing into the shadows once more.
The current Elder, Rasari Hissori, is employed in Kumo as a shinobi to keep an eye on it should anything inside the Village start to bring about it's downfall.
Special Info: All members have the Kekkei Genkai, the Keiji. In addition, all members carry and use a ninja sword to honour the founder of the clan. They mostly use ninjutsu that enhance their sword attacks. Genjutsu is a forbidden art to them, as it has been deemed dishonourable to use in battle since they themselves can see through them (see The Keiji). Members also go through stealth training, including camouflage, quietly moving, silent killing and so on.
Requirements: You must be born into the clan. If anyone is found to violate the honour of the clan, or reveal any of it's secrets, they are disowned and often killed, unless there are special circumstances.
Current Members: Current Elder Rasari Hissori
Name of the Kekkei Genkai: The Keiji
Type of Kekkei Genkai: Tracking/Sensing, Supplementary
Rank: A
Description: This Kekkei Genkai heightens all the senses of the user to supernatural levels, increasing the users’ ability to track prey. The users’ sight becomes so enhanced they could pick out individual details on a snowflake, their smell so sensitive they could pick up the smallest scent from around five miles away. They could hear a pin drop from the other side of a busy village and can taste even the most tasteless poisons. Reaction time is increased as well, making them faster to react and doubling the speed of their attacks (the world seems to slow down while the Keiji is active). In addition, it is impossible to trap a person using this Kekkei Genkai in a genjutsu, since their senses are so sharp they can tell that it is an illusion. This Keiji can be activated at anytime. When in use, there are no visual changes to the user.
Due to the intensity of the Kekkei Genkai, it is easy for more inexperienced users to be overwhelmed by the enormous amounts of sensory input. There have been some cases where people have lost one or more of their senses (going blind or deaf for example). The increased speed of the user can also be damaging to the bodies those who cannot pace themselves or do not train themselves well enough. This can lead to permanent damage or (if sustained long enough) death.
