Three Stage Chakra Dispersement Seal

Because this seal is so large and complicated I am giving it its own topic. This should make it easier to approve, and record. Have at it, let me know what you think!


Seal Name: Three Stage Chakra Dispersement Seal
Wearer: Lady Coal
Rank: S
Appearance: This seal takes multiple shapes, though when not activated it appears as little more than a small black flower. Depending on how much chakra the seal has absorbed, it can appear as anywhere from one to four small and simple flowers.
Location of Seal: on her left hip.

Positive Effects: Depending on how much mastery over the seal the wearer has, the seal has varied effects. All positive benefits are discussed in the seal details.

Negative Effects: There are numerous negative effects of this seal, though the most direct is the damage it deals to the wearer. Depending on the rank, the drawbacks vary slightly. The damage caused by the seal happens as the seal’s effect fades away. The chakra costs, training requirements, and damage done for each stage are listed below:

Stage One: 1 C rank of chakra is required to activate stage one. Stage one is trained with at least 500 words, and does not require a teacher. When Stage One wears off, the user of the seal receives 1 C rank worth of internal damage.

Stage Two: 1 B rank of chakra is required to activate stage two. Stage two is trained with at least 750 words, and requires a teacher. When stage two wears off, the user of the seal receives 1 B rank worth of damage, and can not use jutsu for one post.

Stage Three: 2 B ranks of chakra are required to activate stage three, and can be achieved by a B rank ninja. Stage three is trained in a topic of at least 1,000 words and requires a teacher. When stage 3 wears off the user of the seal receives 1 B rank worth of damage + 1 B rank worth of damage each time it was extended, and the user will not be able to access chakra for one full post after it ends.

Seal Details:This seal functions by drawing chakra out of the chakra network and infusing it into the physical body of the person wearing the seal. This merges elemental chakra with the body to create a quasi-elemental state. While this can cause a condition known as Chakra Poisoning which can be extremely damaging and fatal, the seal acts as a protective emulsifier of sorts which allows the flesh and elemental chakra to be fused together for a short time. The most dangerous aspect of this seal comes from the brief period of time while the seal is deactivating, and a large amount of chakra is still infused into unprotected flesh. This causes painful internal damage of muscles and sometimes even organs. Care should be taken, because if this seal is used when in dire circumstances, the wearer might not survive the outcome of the deactivation.

Because this seal works with the wearer's elemental chakra, there are certain conditions. When this seal is applied, the element chosen defaults to the wearer's primary elemental affinity. If the wearer does not have one of the basic five elements as their primary element, then they may chose one of their secondary elemental affinities. If the user has no basic elemental affinities to chose from, then the seal will not function, and will fade away over the course of 2 days. Once chosen the elemental affinity can not be changed, even if a new element becomes the wearer's primary affinity. All instances in this seal where the user's elemental affinity is mentioned, it refers specifically to the one basic element that is tied to this seal.

When this stage is first applied it deals 1 A rank worth of damage to the characters muscles and nervous system. The seal will lie dormany for one week while it establishes itself and burrows its way into both the body and the chakra network. After the first week is over the wearer of the seal is able to begin training them. One a stage has been trained the wearer of the seal can enter it at will by spending the required chakra. This requires no hand seals, and can be done very quickly. Though the stages are numbered, there is no particular order required to activate the seal. The seal can go from dormant to stage 3, without need of going first through stage 1 and 2. The benefits vary based on stage and are listed below:

Stage 1: The seal forces the chakra network open and pushes more and more of the users chakra through their network and into their physical body. The main benefit of this is greatly enhanced reflexes, and physical power. While in this stage the wearer can form hand seals more quickly, lift more, strike harder, and even run a little faster than most people. The seal greatly empowers the wearer’s muscles, making them 25% stronger and faster than they would be otherwise. This state lasts for 5 posts before fading away.

Stage 2: While in this more advanced stage the seal itself grows physically to dye one third of the skin of an average sized human. The ink grows out from the flowers for about three feet in all direction, which is enough to color everything except some of the face, the hands, and the feet with black ink. While in this state the user of the seal receives the traits “Chakra Control”, “Elemental”, and “Sensor”. Furthermore, while in this state the user will receive a limited amount of resistance to their primary element. This protection reduces any damage from the chosen elemental source by one rank. Likewise, this shape will increase the damage from the opposing element by one rank when damaging the user. Stage two lasts for 5 posts before fading away.

Stage 3: At this stage the union between elemental chakra and physical flesh is complete. The entire body is flooded with elemental chakra, and a physical transformation takes place. It is not uncommon for people to manifest claws, fangs, horns, fur, a tail, or even wings. The particular element typically comes into play when the final form takes shape, but is rarely the same for two individuals. Other than the natural benefits of the new physical traits, the user of the seal receives several great bonuses. While wings are a possible trait with these transformations, the user of the seal must have wind chosen as their element to be capable of flight.

While in this state the user receives all the benefits of Stage 1, with some added bonuses. Users in this state all receive the traits “Sensor” and “Tracking Senses.” While in stage 3 the user of the jutsu is also able to resist the effects of elemental damage. Any source of damage dealt that matches the users chosen element is reduced by 1 rank in effectiveness, and likewise the opposing element is boosted by one rank. Stage 3 lasts for 5 posts, but can be extended for an additional 3 posts for a B rank of chakra before it fades.

Everything in this state relates to speed, not strength, so remove the strength SC. I would create and include a SC relating to agility or hand seal speed instead.

You are also going to need to create a custom SC instead of speedster, since that one is specifically designed for Taijutsu/weaponry/Kenjutsu users.

Now, with stage two. Do you recieve stage one benefits with stage two? Examples being speed, and the SC.

Limited resistance to their primary element: It can only be an element theyhave an affinity with first off. Just throwing that out there to make sure thats understood. Need to edit in that when this stage is activated the user will take increased damage from the element that counters their own (fire<water, etc).

Also, is it easier for the user to perform jutsu of the designate element? If so, how much easier? Also, what happens to the users speed, etc if they go from stage one to stage two?

Again,same thing with the elemental deal. I want to know specifically what the user gets from stage one, and what from stage three. All from stage one plus added benefits from stage three is going to need to change. Increased speed, hand seal formation, agility, along with elemental defense, possible elemental offense for the given element, the option of flight if element is correct, tracking/senses, sensor at the only negative effect of a B-Ranked amount of chakra damage( or 2 B-ranks if the effect is extended) is too much. The upsides farrrr exceed the downsides on this one.

Mmkay. I made a couple changes as requested, and will answer the questions posed before altering more. In regards to stage 2 first. No, you do not recieve the benefits of stage one. It may look an oversight, but it was intentional. The second stage is a mostly elemental stage where chakra is supposed to be free flowing through the body, and lacking the physical manifestation of stage three. As such, stage 2 could be considered something of the Caster's stage. It mostly assist people who wish to use elemental ninjutsu by greatly increasing their caster skill with chakra control, and elemental mastery. I added a note that opposed elements will do increased damage. That seems like a fair trade.

Stage three.. just to point out Stage 3 requires 2 B ranks, not 1. It's 1 A rankto activate stage 3, I just posted it as 2 B ranks to make it more clear that you only need to be a B rank ninja to unlock stage 3. Then when it's over, you take a B rank + extra durration damage. That's not the only draw back. The post after this ends, you also loose access to your chakra, which means you can't use any jutsu for a post, you can't run fast or walk on water, of hang from trees. You are essentialy without chakra for 1 post when it ends. I think it balances out well enough. That post where the seal wears off is likely to be enough of a drawback to make you push the durration onwards. The more you push it, the worse it is when it ends. If you only extend it once, you take an A rank of damage and can't use chakra for a post. That seems pretty harsh to me.

  For an S-rank seal the minimum for a training topic is lets see 800 words but to me that doesn't sit right for a seal that allows this. Make it 1k words and also describe the training process needed to go through to even achieve this stage.

  You need to explain how it does so. Its a seal so it usually would required either direct tapping into the flow or some sort of storage in the seal so it has access to the chakra this is something you need to think about and go into.

  An A-rank damage directly to the nervous system and muscles would require medical attention or the user would be placed in a dire situation that could prove fatal. So really you should add that in there since most A-rank jutsu can be fatal.

  So lets see, It allows for, Elemental mastery, Increased strength and speed, Sensor abilities, chakra control, Tracking and senses and the ability to grow appendages. Yah well sorry babe me and Riku have both agreed on this. Its denied since it essentially is a weakened yet powerfully op even with the drawbacks of a Bijuu sage mode cross thingy. Which also if you pull the Sasuke seal shit, I pull the fact that is banned ^.^.

Denied unless completely revamped.

While I understand your complaints, I feel some are invalid. For example, you summed up three stages worth of abilities and said it's over powered. You never recieve all of those traits at one, just several at a time. However, I can see where this seal is lacking. This was my first attempt, and I'll happily try again.
