| Kotaro stood on the cliff of a snow-topped cliff as he stared out into the wide open space that was before him. Most people would think this a beautiful spot, but Kotaro thinks differently.
"Hmm...This place would make a glorious wasteland."
Kotaro said to himself as he was in deep thought. His trusty Lunar Scythe was on his back, and his garm which he was wearing would make him seem as the grim reaper, and he looked quite frightening with the particular pose. A cold wind blew against his face, a few snowflakes hitting against it as well, only to melt on contact with his warm skin. This did not bother him at all. His clothing was very well insulated, and he would need to be standing there for hours in order to feel cold.
He suddenly heard footsteps crunching the snow beneath, as the footfalls should sound. He glanced in the direction it originated, and he slowly moved his arm and readied it to wield his scythe at any moment, incase this stranger approaching was a threat. He could see the figure, and know that not many normal people come up this high, he knew for sure he was able to be seen as well. Therefore there was no use in hiding. Kotaro stood there as he watched the figure come closer and take its clearer and more defined shape...

| Kyo was on a stroll, eating his candy as usual. He had the day off, and decided he would trail the mountain side and see if he could find any interesting people. Kyo didn’t really enjoy the solace walk, but he needed to get out of the city. Kyo really reached into his pocket and obtained another candy, he quickly ate it. As he was going up the mountain, he found a small path. Kyo saw foots prints, foot prints that looked like they belonged to a genin. He didn’t knew genins could make it up here. So he decided to see if there was anything he could do to help.
Kyo walked up the path, and the trees started to get thicker as he walked up along the way. Kyo was feeling quite nervous, walking along the path. Listening to the snow crunch as he took each step. He saw this in a horror movie once, where the person got killed by a snow monster. This was making him quite nervous. It didn’t help that he was almost on a sugar high. Kyo didn’t really feel that it was safe, so he felt even more compelled to find this genin and make sure their safe.
He was walking along, hearing noises coming from each and every direction. Seeing shadows move around where he can’t see them. This started to make Kyo really worried, and so he decided to walk a bit faster. Now he was at a almost jogging pace, he felt a little bit safer, and warmer to mention it. Kyo was slightly getting a bit more antsy, as to why the genin even decide to come out on this path in the first place. “What’s with the weather?” he mumbled, still jogging to get away from the sounds behind him. He wasn’t feeling too safe right now, since he didn’t even know who this kid was.
Kyo saw the opening, the opening of the trees, into a more open place. Kyo thought this must be where the genin is. Since the tracks led that way. When Kyo got out into the open. He started to go at a walking pace. As he looked everywhere for the genin, he thought the genin must have turned back already. Kyo was going to head back too, but then he saw a shadow. Kyo thought this must be the genin who walked up here. So Kyo walked up. He noticed the genin had a giant scythe on his back, which was weird. “Umm...hello there!” said Kyo, with a nervous smile and chuckle.

| “Umm...hello there!” Kotaro heard the voice from where he heard the footsteps. He glanced back with what others would consider a leer or a glare if you will. This was unintentional, and Kotaro quickly adjusted his gaze and met eyes with this person. He got a good look at the person, and noticed the headband he had on his person. Kotaro kept his with him, but out of site. He knew that this person was from Kumo and was a ninja, and from what he looked like, he assumed he was a chunin. Since they were of the same village, Kotaro let off his readiness to strike and relaxed as he fully turned around. Another breeze blew from the same direction, more snowflakes hitting Kotaro's face, again melting due to the same reason as before.
"Hello, what would what I assume is a Kumo chunin doing out way up high here in the mountains?"
Snow was falling all around them at a very light pace, and as Kotaro waited for a reply, he focused on a single flake as it fell and he could see the pattern of which it formed. His gaze followed it until it hit the ground, he decided to continue to to do this until the stranger replied. At that moment, he would direct all of his attention toward him, and making eye contact, not breaking it until he was finished speaking. Kotaro assumed he would be asked the same question as to why he himself was up there, and he was already thinking of a way to explain himself. Another snowflake caught his attention and he followed it in the same manner as the previous one.

| “Why am I up here? Well, I came up the mountain to get away from the city...” said Kyo, folding his arms and going into a deep state of mind. “I came up this way, because I found some foot prints, of a small person, so I would think, it was a genin. Since normally, you wouldn’t find children playing up this high.” said Kyo, looking at the boy. Kyo took out a piece of candy from his pocket and ate it. This would be his 10th piece of candy right now. He wanted to know why this child was up here, seeing as the kid didn’t wear a headband, but have a scythe, he would figure, he was a genin, but didn’t want to be seen as a genin.
Kyo didn’t know that many genin to start with. Seeing, as when he was ranking up. He didn’t spend much time with them. Kyo wondered what was going to happen if some random Jounin found this kid, holding a scythe, and didn’t say a reason why. They mightve attacked or something, who knows. Kyo scratched his forehead. “Why are you up here anyway kid?” asked Kyo, looking at him, directly in the eyes.
If the kid didn’t give Kyo a good enough answer. He was going to take the kids weapon, and bring him back to town. For punishment. But, he wouldn’t do that, since he’s lazy. Plus, he wouldn’t fight the kid, unless he attacked him. Which, he still wouldn’t fight, but maybe just to disarm the kid. Kyo looked at the kid, watching him. Hoping, he wouldn’t attack. Kyo has some expierence in fighting, but not alot. Kyo thought, that he wouldn’t need to use force to bring someone back to town, but this kid, looked like he would need some. Unless, you know, they became friends.
Kyo reached into his pocket, and rummidged around, looking for more candy, but he only felt 2 more. This, wasn’t good. He reached into his other pocket, and found more candy, plenty more. This, was good. He took the two that where left in his other pocket and took them out. He eat one, and tossed the other one to the kid. All kids liked candy right? Well, he hoped so with this one.

| Kotaro thought that the chunin's excuse for being here was a bit weak, but he decided to roll with it. This was an adult, and although it angered him that he was considered a child, although he was, he was not in the mood to try to fight him. All he knew is that he would kill him if he touched his scythe. He noticed that the man had had at least eaten two pieces of candy since he had arrived, and when he searched his pocket, Kotaro realized he must be some sort of sweet tooth, as his face was a bit flushed when he reached in his first pocket, then seem a bit relieved when he checked the other.
The man tossed Kotaro some candy, and Kotaro caught it. He wasn't sure if this was a joke, or that the guy didn't really know how to deal with kids well. He tossed the candy back to him, as a sign to decline.
"No thanks, and as to why I'm here, I am actually at this particular spot quite often when I have free time, which is a lot these days considering I do not have an assigned team at the moment. I might have to file a complaint to the kage soon if this keeps up. I noticed your headband, and to let you know, we are of the same village, so you can let your guard down a bit. Even if you weren't you'd need not worry. Judging by your looks, I'd say you are a Chunin or so, possibly a jounin, which either one is far from my on class of a mere genin. I was about to head back down to the village myself, you could come with me if you would like.

| After hearing everything the genin, Kyo was a tad bit confused. As the kid tossed back the candy, Kyo was a little disappointed. Him giving other people candy was a sign of friendship, since, he prefers to keep candy to himself. But, if he thinks you could possibly be his friend. He'll give you candy. "Well...okay..that sounds reasonable." Kyo said with a disappointed face. Kyo ate the candy he was tossed back, and he started to scratch the back of his head. Not sure on what to do now. "Sure I'll come back to town with you, not like there's anything else to do..." said Kyo, in a unsure manner.
Kyo started to walk back through the way he came. "You coming?" he said, loud enough for the kid to follow. "And my name is Kyo Hekireki. What's yours?" he asked, in a polite fashion. He wasn't really used to talking to other genin. Since, as a genin, he spent his time alone. But now that he's a chuunin. He's making up for lost time. Kyo found it a little hard to deal with, seeing someone carry a scythe of all things around. The only person he met that carried a weapon was some other Chuunin or Jounin. But, he doesn't really know them.
OOC: Sorry it's a tad sorry; its the best I could do at the moment, sorry >.<'

| Seeing as how Kyo had taken the path first, Kotaro decided to follow. He decided he might attempt to make friends with this person, he may be able to get some eventual training from him if it works out. "Ya, I'm coming." With that, Kotaro began to walk down the same path. Kotaro was up to this area quite often, and so he knew the area quite well. He assumed he knew more than Kyo about this place, and decided to see if he could properly find his way back to the village. Being a chunin and all, it shouldn't be a problem for Kyo he assumed.
Kotaro knew that friends walked next to each other, but since they weren't quite friends, he decided to remain one or two paces behind Kyo. "By the way, my name is Kotaro Sasaki." Snow began to steadily fall as they started walking back down the mountain. He knew it would take some time to reach the village, so he was glad he met Kyo so he could have someone to talk to.

| "Kotaro huh?" said Kyo, with a slight chuckle. "Never heard that name before." he said, as the snow began to fall. He loved the snowfall. He wasn't quite sure why, but he loved it. The snow fell through the leaves. So that means they could manage to go through them? As they walked down the path in the dark path. Kyo was eating candy after candy. He was slightly getting paranoid here. "Why pick such a secluded place?" said Kyo, popping a mouthful of candy.
He was kinda walking at a slightly faster pace. Not wanting to meet with other bandits. Kyo looked back, and almost lost sight of Kotaro. "Sorry!" he said, with a nervous chuckle. "I didn't mean to leave you behind. It's just this place is kinda creapy to me." he said. Trying to get the kid to buy his excuse on why he's freaked out.
Kyo walked at a slower pace, to let Kotaro keep up. He didn't really know what to talk about with the kid, since, it was their first meeting, and he didn't meet much genin except Aimi, and the Raikage. This was bugging him. How many genin would he need to meet? He didn't know. Like he really cared.

| Kotaro remained a few paces back from Kyo. He did't care what he thought about his name at all either. "I come here to think in peace. Obviously not very many people come here often, and its not very far from the village, so I come here often. The cold doesn't bother me all that much, and I enjoy the occasional snowfall." The falling flakes soon became a light snowfall. Kyo suddenly increased his pace. He looked back and apologized for speeding up, pausing to let Kotaro catch up. Kotaro didn't buy his excuse, he looked around the area and there wasn't anything he saw that would give a person the creeps. He assumed it was something more relevant like bandits or a possible rock slide or avalanche. Kotaro wanted to make this person a friend of his, so he figured he would try to say something to calm him down.
"If you are worried about bandits, don't worry. I know the area well and its hard to be snuck upon around here. And the terrain is not in favor of any surprise directions. Rock slides and avalanches are also unlikely. Kotaro raised his voice a considerable amout. "Volume isn't much of a problem even at this height, we are still a ways away fro a danger zone when it comes to those sort of things. And if you are still offering, I'd like to maybe have one of those candies please." Kotaro then started walking next to Kyo, to help him feel a bit at ease.

| Kyo laughed a bit. "I was kinda creeped out about the area, my imagination plays tricks on my mind. I thought I saw things going on, but not there." said Kyo, scratching the back of his head. When Kotaro asked for a piece of candy, this caught him off his guard. Not that many ask Kyo for candy, some actually avoid it, since they think he'd bite their arms off. But Kyo thought about it for a bit, walking along Kotaro. He reached into his pocket and took out a butterscotch flavoured candy.
Kyo didn't really like butterscotch, but had it anyway. "Here, some butterscotch." said Kyo, with a slight smile. He gave Kotaro the piece of candy and sighed. He wasn't sure what to say to Kotaro now. But since they had some ways to go, they had to have some sort of conversation. They made about 10 minutes worth of walking, and Kyo saw some couples. He got sort of irritated. He was jealous of these couples, he didn't have a girlfriend of his own, and this made it irritate him. When he's irritated, he eats candy. He pulled out a handful of grape candy from his inner jacket pocket, and just ate it in one go.
Kyo sighed. Why was it of all days, that he would meet a genin in the woods, and meet endless amount of couples? He didn't know the answer, and he just guessed Kotaro didn't know either. He looked at him, not knowing much about him, but knowing enough that he likes solitude. Kyo was thinking on different ways of becoming this kids friend. First, thinking on what questions to ask, and what he did and how long he was a genin for. Of course, Kyo reframed from saying these things.

| Kyo paused at his question, like he was thinking it over. He reached into his pocket and tossed Kotaro a piece of butterscotch candy. It just so happened to be his favorite, although he wasn't a huge fan of candy, it was nice to have a piece or two every once in awhile and indulge in its sweet flavor. Kotaro grabbed each end of the clear plastic wrapper that had a yellow tint to it and pulled with both hands. This caused the whole thing to untwist itself. Kotaro grabbed the wrapper and unfolded the plastic cocoon that encased the butterscotch. It was like any other butterscotch candy, dark yellow, and light could pass through it to a certain point. He picked the candy up from the wrapper and crumpled the plastic and rolled it into a minuscule ball with his index finger and thumb. He then placed it in his pocket for him to throw away later. Kotaro reached his hand with the candy and opened him mouth. He placed the candy upon the center area of the tongue, where the sweet taste bud sensors reside. He did this for maximum flavor and taste. The candy was just as sweet as he had remembered it to be, and his mouth began to build up saliva which began to make contact with the candy. The saliva did its job and also carried some of the butterscotch's flavor and spread it to the rest of his tongue. His mouth was in pleasure and he let the saliva slowly dissolve and break down the candy, but he knew that would take time. Like most hard candies, he had the urge to just bite the thing and break it into pieces, but he knew it wouldn't last as long, so he had to resist the temptation.
(OOC: Yes people, I just made a 300 word post about eating a piece of friggin candy.)

| Kyo just stared at Kotaro, who was eating candy in a very odd manner. Couldn't he just eat candy normally? Probably not from what he saw... Kyo didn't really know how to respond to this action, so he put a finger on his lips and tried to think of things to say or do around this genin. Kyo was slightly confused as well, why was he hanging around this boy again? Kyo couldn't remember why he was doing that either. Maybe he could ditch him and go flirt with some girls or something.. Maybe not, he needed to speak to the kid anyway, about something or anything.
Kyo shruged, normally, he would've punched someone who dared not respect the candy powah! Kyo didn't act upon it though, since it was going to lead to a minor problem involving this Genin. He might've been screamed at by the Raikage. Kyo shrugged again, why on hell was he even on the mountains? It was boring, and cold due to snow. And he wanted to get down the mountain faster. Without even saying a thing to Kotaro, Kyo jumped down the side, sliding down against the mountain, he stopped and jumped off, kicking a tree branch, making it break so he could slide down using it like a showboard.
Kyo stood unto the branch that was like a snowboard, and was swearving left and right to avoid the trees and large rocks. When a path would cross his way, he would jump and get another tree branch as a board. Kyo was very fond of using this method, and pretty much just used it as a way to get down the moutain faster. Now that the snow was gone, he was sliding on dirt. He would zoom past people walking on the trail, since now they showed up more often then earlier.
Kyo saw the base of the mountain, and didn't really know how to stop the branch. He started to move back and forth on the board and flailed his arms. He needed to stop, then he hit a rock and started to fly forward. Kyo did a 360 in the air and landed on his feet with ease. He smirked and looked back up the mountain to see the trail he took downwards. He had a smirk on his face with it and walked off with a laugh.
