Shihouin’s training would require a different mindset today. Unlike the ordinary work outs he did, Shihouin would be pushing his mind and his body to the absolute limit. Not only would he have to do this training more than once as he got stronger, the training would increase with each skill level attained. His goal to master the Sharingan now lay before him like an open path. Out of the Uchiha in general there have only been three notable people who could truly say that they had mastered their eyes, three people who had become famous for it. Uchiha Madara, Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke. Shihouin planned on being the fourth. The regiment for the training would be similar to a mix of parkour but would be created in a controlled environment with targets and such. Hidden targets that could only be breached with ninja techniques or kunai and targets that required speed to attain based on the success of other targets. Shihouin wasn’t kidding about the Sharingan and neither was he kidding about attempting to master it. This obstacle course would be the death of him –literally- if he could not manage the strength to overcome it.
He took foot at the base of the training course. In one of Konoha’s larger parkers, the trees were large and thick enough to absorb any collateral damage that he may create while moving. Shihouin held his body with ease, keeping his hands near his ninja pockets as he closed his eyes. Filling his lungs with air, he exhaled to calm his pulse. Start. Shihouin ran forward, increasing his speed from a light jog to, to a jog and so on until he was at a full out sprint. The one tomoe in his eyes came to life as he began. His first target was a large boulder at least 10 feet high, behind it was a round target with three circles to measure accuracy. Channeling chakra to his feet, Shihouin jumped and flipped, perfectly tossing down a kunai from his pouch onto the targets center. The backflip ended with a light plant on the top of the boulder. He wasn’t done though.
Twenty meters in front of him a target hung under a tree branch. He wouldn’t be able to hit it with a kunai, so a shuriken would do the trick. Moving effortlessly from the end of the flip, he swung his hand towards the target with a slight curve and jumped off of the branch and ran forward. With a medley of shuriken and kunai in his hand, Shihouin ran forward and tossed a kunai into the air as the shuriken from the branch met its target. The target had been a trip which had released a very large trap. A dead log dropped, strung up with three wires. The entire massive branch moved towards Shihouin. On the other side there was another target, along with targets exposed on the wire that held the branch. He continued to run at despite its massive size. Making his move, Shihouin tossed two wired kunai towards the exposed wire and jumped again, right over the swinging branch. The first shuriken thrown at the exposed wire missed the center target, and the second one only hit the edge of the target. This meant that the log wasn’t going to fall.
Shihouin quickly turned around and prepared hand signs while throwing another shuriken at the target on the log. Since he was behind it, he could make perfectly accurate throw and hit it in its center. However, this meant that Shihouin would have to take time to do that. The log had reached the apex of its swing and would now come back down on him. Shihouin rushed to finish his hand signs, releasing a Ryuuka down the wired kunai and igniting the targets –and thus the wires- in blast of flame. By that time, the log had gotten close enough to make a large crash in the ground, throwing a wave of dirt in his face.
It was time wasted which he had to account for. There were only about three more targets left, so Shihouin made his last move. The burnt wires had now exposed the last set of targets, which all dropped down the moment the wire was thrown. They swing horizontally across the whole forested area, swinging across the air like a pendulum. The problem here was horribly annoying. Since Shihouin had set trap for this to test himself, he couldn’t move much. He would have to hit all three targets at the same time before the trap went off. If he couldn’t then his own trap would release the trap set on the log, which was full of shuriken and explosive notes.
Five. Shihouin grabbed one shuriken out of nin-pocket which gave him three in his right hand, not to mention the kunai in his left. He couldn’t simply wait for the targets to slow down or get lined up correctly. By then it would be too late. Four. Shihouin would have to make a calculating move and bounce shuriken and kunai off of each other in mid flight. Three. Shihouin flicked his arm forward, tossing the kunai towards the moving targets, all at different speed. The easiest one to time was the second and rear one, but the first one was in the way. Two. Shihouin threw the kunai against the shuirken aimed at the targets. The shuriken had been thrown in slightly curved paths so they would meet with the targets. However, Shihouin’s kunai would hit the shuriken, which sent them straight towards their targets. All of the shuriken had missed the center target but had all hit their marks. One.
As short as the training was, it was intense. It required Shihouin to keep his mind open and think about his next move, but at the same time he couldn’t actually think about making every single move. He had to keep his eyes open and his brain aware and make a combination that would end up making it more useful for him in the long run. Even though Shihouin’s overall accuracy with his eyes had been at about 85%, it had helped him gain control over that tomoe. This extensive training would move into more difficult fights down the road. This was the easy part. One tomoe was nothing, and any average Jounin could complete this training at 100% without the Sharingan. The two tomoe relied on movements, so in order to master that, Shihouin would need to fight. For now, Shihouin took his 85% victory and collected the shuriken and the targets for another day. Disarming the trap in the gigantic log, Shihouin left it there. It really didn’t look too much out of place in the leaf village, wouldn’t be seen when the dense fog settled in during the cooler parts of the day. After cleaning the dirt off of him, Shihouin headed off towards the Village Streets.
