Life: “The world is the chessboard , the pieces are the phenomena of the Universe, the rules of the game are what we call the laws of Nature and the player on the other side is hidden from us” That stimple statement describes Keiden's outlook on life. The world is the board, it's shapes all fitting into the shape, it's environment effecting the people . People are the pieces, the hand moving them is guided by emotions, their motives never clean, pulled into play by primal desires. Any interaction with other's is dictated in strategy like a game of chess, every move in every situation is important.

Mask: During his youth, Keiden realized how beneficial it was to hide ones emotions in many situations. Over the course of his life, he has nearly perfected this art, only those who know him very well are able to glimpse the emotions which fuel any actions. Others will find it difficult, if not impossible to deem what he is feeling, as his body gives almost no notable signs unless he wishes it to.

Kind Hearted: Keiden is generally very caring and forginving, although it is hidden behind his mask. Wether or not this is a good thing is a matter of perspective. He often feels a deep concern for others, but often hides it behind his mask. He often will go out of his way to solve other problems, if he learns of them.

Intelligence and Curiosity: Since an early age Keiden has been praised for his intelligence. He enjoys doing anything that may increase his knowledge base. He also finds. He finds delight in puzzles, seeking the solutions franticly, but often tossing them aside after finishing them, the solution having been his only goal.

Chaos or Fate: The Senju Line Continues

Konohagakure. The Village Hidden in the Leaves. Home of the Senju clan, decendants from the younger son of the Sage of the Six Paths. The clan having been said to be the strongest clan in Konohagakure, they became feared for their mastery of nearly all Ninja Arts and to further their legened the clan has also spawned three Hokage. From this clan also spawned Metsuki Senju, whom with his wife, spawned Takao Senju who spawned Hikoru whom with his wife, spawned Keiden Senju. Perhaps some hand reached down to pair Takao with Ayiko and then pair Hikoru, the youngest of the two children with Kaori and the sum of their lives was to give birth to their child, then again maybe fate merely wanted to continue the Senju line. Or perhaps it was just chaos and random chance of the universe.

The giving of life and a death of sorts.

The child was born on a cool summer evening in the Konohagakure hospital and given the name Keiden Senju. His father, Hikoru was a prominent Jō-nin a previous member of the ANBU Black Ops. His mother Kaori Hatake, a Chuunin who posessed highly advanced medical skills. One was a taker of life while the other brought life, a perfect ying-yang. An underlying order to the chaos of the universe or the twist of fate's knife?. Three days after his birth, when the required observation period at the Hospital in Konohagakure had ended, he was taken home.

He was raised as any caring and loving parent would raise their child, he was quick to develop and even from a young age, it was plainly obvious that he was an incredibly curious child, getting into anything and everything he could, which was sometimes a good thing and at other times a bad thing. His excessive natural curiosity caused him to get injured quite often, which in turn caused his parents to be rather over protective. His love of being outside, in nature, rolling around in dirt quickly became quenched in overprotectiveness as his parents forced him to remain inside more often, teaching him to read, [which he was able to do at the age of 3] and once he was able, he found a way to satisfy his curiousity. He found the food for his mind in the books he had previously resented.

The Academy: A place of knowledge, a place of learning.

Two years after learning to read, at the age of five, he entered the academy. He was a bit younger then some of the other children, but not so much so. The Konohagakure no Sato Ninja Academy, During his time, theinstructors of this Academy were very militaristic, believing that one day their students would become the warriors on the frontlines. The reason for this being the weakening ties between villages and whispers of war that were heard near and far. The militaristic style wasn't exactly fitting for Keiden during his younger years. In fact, it wasn't uncommon during the first month or so, for him to be found hiding in some lesser traveled part of the academy, in tears, stemming from the feirceness of his instructors. The Academy was ill suited for his natural curiousity and kindness, but in turn, in some aspects it helped mold him into the man he is today.

After he had adjusted to his training to the strictness and fierceness of his training, his skills quickly grew. He slowly began loosing his childlike traits, his playfulness disappeared, becoing an ever present seriousness. His curiousty too would've been lost, but he was capable of saving that by indulging it in secret. The academy did not wish to brew great ninja, ninja who would care and help people. They wished to make solders who would fight in the coming war and that is nearly what the young Senju became. His knowledge of ninja skills, battle tactics and deception increased during his 4 years at the Ninja Academy.

A Genin. A Real Ninja. A True Solider.

At the young age of 9 Keiden took the exam to become genin. His test much harder than a test which would be given in the future, paired with two other academy students whom he had previously had no contact with, no time for training, and no time to compare skills or strategize. They were given the mission to capture and hold a high-Genin level Ninja. The test was extremely difficult due ot their lack of skill, the three genin passed, but only barely, nearly going over the alotted time for the task. Keiden, Hikari and Hishiro all passed the test, becoming Genin, true ninjas, soilders of Konohagakure.

Team 10 they became known as, the last students to pass the academy that year. They were also the youngest, which caused them to be often looked upon with doubt, there was no way these three, 'the runts', the youngest Genin team could be skilled enough to do anything of merit. This encouraged Keiden to work harder, he was desperate to prove them wrong. A natural leader, his motivation in turn motivated the other to Genin and under the tulage of Senbotsu Zanshi, their Jounin Sensei.

Their missions were always completed and they never failed—for failure was not an option with the imposing figure of Senbotsu, a man who was perhaps more militaristic than the instructors at the academy. He taught them well and insured that his students were well-rounded in all aspects of the ninja arts; one who knows more about all subjects is more likely to win in battle, or so thought Zanashi.

Even with this 'well rounded' training, Keiden found himself to lack any real talent in the art of Genjutsu and, despite his mother's profession he also lacked talent for Medical techniques. However, he excelled in Ninjutsu, which was expected due to his blood. As the time passed Team Twenty became renowned, and although they were only Genin they were assigned C-to-B Rank missions, unlike most Genin who were given D-to-C Rank missions. For three years they trained under Zanashi, completing missions, learning skills, three years after their academy graduation, 'the runts' entered the Chuunin exams.

Chuunin Exams: The Test

At the age of Twelve, the three genin entered the Chuunin examns, still the among the youngest, given that even the rookies whom were newely out of the academy were on the same age level with them. The first test, a written exam, seemingly simple, but the questions were insanely difficult, the level of knowledge was atleast Jounin level it seemed, and Keiden's intelligence only helped slightly. It was said that the test was to test your 'intel gathering skills' but to Keiden it seemed to be how well you responded under pressure, the questions were excedingly difficult and they were being watched intently to prevent cheating. The pressure grew as more and more people were caught, over 3/4ths of the Genin was gone as the final question was revealed. Keiden and his team being one of the last 20 left. Keiden knew that Hikari nearly caved on the last question, where his and Hishiro 's stubborness held them in place. And having not given up, they managed to pass the first test moving on to the second.

Chuunin Exams: The Forest
Having passed the first test, although by the skin of their teeth, 'the runts' moved on to the second test. The Forest of Death. This test had been designed to test how well you could survive on your own, living off nature as well as complete a designated mission within the three day time set. The mission? 10 teams would be given a heaven scroll, while the other half were given and Earth scroll, the objective was to obtain both scrolls and take them to a tower in the center of the forest.

Day One: On the First day, Keiden, letting his natural leadership traits take over took led the team on a 'mini-mission' to learn the layout of the forest. Knowing the board was just as important as knowing what to do with the pieces. After much exploration, the group settled on a suitable offensive position near the tower, which was the mission end point. Although this would likely be a common tactical move for many, Keiden's ability to use the Mokuton element became the team's advantage.

Day Two: Caught by surprise in their sleep, Keiden's team found themselves under attack. Hishiro must have fallen asleep during his watch. The first attack was an exploding tag, causing Keiden to awake abruptly, screaming in pain when the flame ripped across his shoulder, leaving him a severe burn, which caused a scar that he carries to this day. Moving abruptly, the adrenaline quickly dulling the pain, Kieden attacked, his strength fueled by the rage as he noted his comrades laying unmoving on the ground.

Their were three of them, three Genin from Kumogakure, they obviously had no problem with killing their opponent. The Konoha Genin fought fiercely against his 3 enemies, pushing his skills farther than he had before in training. He battled at a level above the average Genin, managing to knock out 2 out of his 3 opponents, but when he focused on the 3rd, he found that he was beginning to fall victim to his many wounds and he was nearly at his limit in terms of stamina. Kieden Knew that his last opponent was also low on reserves, but not at the same level he was.

Without warning, The other grabbed a kunai from his waste as Kieden barreled forward, arms expanded at his sides. Hands nimbly brought that kunai level with the chest, a palm pressing against its rear. Keiden exploded into the air right before his target meant to strike out, his body somersaulting through the air in a viscous aerial strike. The heel of the boy struck true, slamming into the cranium of his opponents skull. For a moment time stood still, Keiden figure falling slowly until one leg was outstretch while the other landed. The sickening crunch resounded through the air as the other Genin's head seemed to sink into his body, optics exploding from their sockets. Blood leaked from every orifice as the body of the boy was slammed into the ground, furthering the damage done by causing his cranium to erupt in a mass of brain matter and bone bits. Silence seemed to overcome the forest, Keiden looked around, his team lay nearly dead on the ground and his three opponents lay in the same state. No emotion displaying on his face, Keiden took the scroll from the lifeless Genin's body and walked over to his teammates. He put the scroll in his pouch as he reached down to pick up both his teammates, trying to block out the terror in his mind. Kill or be killed… It had to end this way, Keiden knew this, but still his mind assaulted him, he had taken the life of another, and he wasn't sure if he could forgive him self for it, even if the situation was Kill or be killed… Regardless, he know knew what it meant to be a real ninja, to be a real solider.

A Promotion
Keiden carried his team to the tower, their objective compete and yet failed at the same time. As soon as they reached the tower, a swarm of medical-nin descended to check them. Keiden simply moved of to the side, handing the two scrolls off to a Jounin standing off to the side and moved off into the corner. HIs wounds were less severe compaired to those of his two teamates, yet still a medic nin came over to work on his wounds. At the same time his Jounin sensei came up announcing that Keiden had been promoted to Chuunin. Shortly after being promoted to Chuunin the chaos of war descended upon the land.

The Rest
Shortly after Keiden became chuunin, Kusagakure attacked the edges of the fire country in attempt to gain territory. Keiden fought in the war for 4 years and after returning, he was promoted to Jounin for his outstanding war efforts. After being promoted to Jounin, he completed several missions and at the age of 22 he served in the ANBU Black Ops for a brief stint of 4 years. After being in ANBU he taught a Genin team before being promoted to Hokage.
