Ninja squirrels are like any other ninja animal with the ability to use chakra and to use that for specific tasks. However being that these ninja animals are remarkably small compared to other ninja animals (e.g. dogs) the summoning chakra cost of them are dramatically reduced. In addition due to this, the amount of summons produced per jutsu is increased regarding each rank. See table below

Description: This is an adaptation of the Drilling Air Projectile technique. Where Drilling Air Projectile requires the user to slam their hands into their gut Squirrels having the ability to hold large objects in their cheeks gives them the ability to shoot small condensed but highly powered air bullets from their mouth, also not requiring handsigns or hitting their guts. To strengthen the attack the squirrels will imbue chakra into the air. When expelled it forms concussive spherical projectiles capable of inflicting large damage.

Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed
