Appearance: Orihima stands at five feet two inches and weighs one hundred twelve pounds. Her height and weight is not a concern nor a blow to her self-esteem. Her body is ever so slightly muscled due to her specialty in taijutsu. Being a Hyuuga, she has a very faint pupil and iris, both appearing as a milky white. Clashing with her milky white eyes and equally milky white skin, is her jet-black straight hair, ending at the middle of her back. Unfortunately, the young beauty does not smile much. She almost always, always appears with an irritated or indifferent expression. Even during the rare times she smiles, it is very small and looks more like a crooked, scribbled on, silly grin you would see in a cartoon.

The young hyuuga has a very simple fashion sense. All being neutral or dark colored, she tends to wear a short-sleeved shirt with a tiny bit of fishnet around the collar, stretchy though form-fitting pants, simple black ninja-like shoes, and a hoodie. Her village headband can be seen acting as a necklace and a small pouch can be seen around her right hip. She never ever wears bright or flashy clothing. Something interesting, Orihima bares a two inch vertical scar on her left leg near her knee, although it is always covered up by her pants.

Personality:Orihima is irritated. It may be you, it may be someone else, it may be herself. Hell, it may not even be anyone in particular, she is simply irritated. Though she usually has a reason to be so irritable, sometimes the young kunoichi can't even pin point what is causing it. She doesn't like being irritated, but it just seems to happen. Sometimes it will go away quickly, while other times it will stick around to bother her whole day. People are either too intimidated to speak to her or are scared away in the middle of the conversation due to her randomly lashing out into a rant or fit. As you can imagine, this makes it difficult to talk to her. She does not hide how she feels nor does she purposely seek out attention with them. Contrary to some people's belief, Orihima is not spoiled. Though she is apart of the Hyuuga's main branch, she does not have high expectations of others on how to treat her or act around her.

Some of the few things that can bring out Orihima's rare crooked smile, is a progressive training session. It doesn't matter if it's by herself or with someone else, if it's progressive, it will defiantly bring her some joy. However, a bad training session could make her much more irritated than even before. One of the other few things is tea. She loves tea with a passion. You could say it's a hobby of her's, because she loves to collect all sorts of tea, try new tea, and prepare tea. Seriously. Orihima loves tea. However, should something go wrong to make her 'tea time' not very enjoyable, such as spilling it on herself, not liking the taste, someone criticizing it; The irritation she feels is worse than any bad training session. Approach with caution.

Secretly and very surprisingly, Orihima also likes... Well... Boys. She finds them irritating, but fascinating. It does not apply to all boys, of course, only some seem to grab her attention and they're usually, in her opinion, good looking. For some reason, she just has a feeling she would even enjoy watching them perform some of the most simple and even boring tasks. She doesn't know why nor understands this feeling, but has decided it is something personal only she should know, their for, a heavily guarded secret. No one knows this except Orihima herself. They don't suspect a thing!

Clan Traits:
The gentle fist - The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can then be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. Any chakra based substance can be countered/destroyed by using the gentle fist style to force chakra into it. This is done by using the chakra openings in ones hands to shape their own chakra into needles which can cut through chakra itself. It can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyūga clan, it has become their signature style of combat.

Kekkei Genkai:
The Byakugan is a Dōjutsu Kekkei Genkai, a genetic trait, that is shared amongst the members of the Hyūga Clan. Those that inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless white eyes. It has two different settings, dormant and activated, both of which take a slightly different appearance from the other form. The normal eye for a Hyuuga clan member differs from a normal human eye. The iris and pupil are barely discernable with both appearing a milky white in color. The pupil itself is larger than a typical humans and it is outlined by a black region. The sclera remains normal except the larger size of the pupil reduces ones ability to view it. Once the eye is fully activated, the hidden iris becomes more apparent. Also when providing blood and chakra for the eyes' bloodline vision, veins will bulge lateral to each eye.

The first ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. The second ability is having the ability to see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person. This is often determined by both rank and skill. At the genin level it can reach up to 100 meters. At Chunin this increases drastically reaching out to 400 meters. At jounin this goes up even more to 800 meters. A Kage level Hyuuga is capable of seeing up to 2km in all directions. However, the third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, as well as the chakra circulation system inside another's body. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. (see Clan Traits above).

Description: A Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline using the Jyuuken. Kaiten is a special technique passed down through the main family line. Kaiten takes advantage of several of the unique abilities of the Byakugan eye. Byakugan gives the clan member an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings. This allows the member to see all angles of attack. If an attack is near, the clan member will release a large of amount of chakra from their tenketsu. The member then begins to spin like a top, creating a whirling vortex that can nullify almost any attack.

Description: A Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline. Hakke Rokujuuyonshou is a special technique passed down through the main family line. When an opponent is within the clan members divination field of attack, they can quickly begin their assault. The technique allows the clan member to use the Byakugan eye to see the inner chakra coils system. Using the Jyuuken style, they can force their chakra through their hands into the tenketsu of the opponent's body through 126 strikes. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, 32 and finally 64. This damage forcibly closes 64 tenketsu, stopping the chakra flow of the opponent. This then limits their opponents ability to use jutsu.

The technique allows the clan member to use the Byakugan eye to make nearly double the normal 126 strikes, striking 254 times against their individual foe or opponents. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and finally 128 times.

History:

The Hyuuga are one of the oldest and most powerful clans in Konoha, being one of its two great Dojutsu clans. They aided in the founding of the leaf village, though played a much smaller role in its founding then the Senju and Uchiha did. They quickly established a high ranking amongst the ninja squadrons and became well known to all, just the mention of the Byakugan or the name Hyuuga wining an instant air of respect. Their clan is based highly on nobility and even with in itself has its own social structure.

The clan is split into two different families. One being known as the main and the other being the branch. This social division has always been their greatest flaw. The Main family often holds themselves to be higher up and more important then the branch family, and basically the branch is looked down upon like lesser individuals and sometimes even pawns which can be thrown away for the villages sake. To be looked at most appropriately, the Main are the Kings, and the Branch are the peasants. It even goes so far that a destructive seal is placed on the forehead of all Branch family members which can be used to instantly destroy a branch member if they do not follow the orders of the Main family.

In recent times, this wall has begun to get broken down, and the destructive seal is being used less and less. Cooperation is beginning to flourish between the two houses which is leading to prosperous outcomes. It is unknown if this will continue or if it is a momentary laps of peace. It will all come down to the heads of the clan for each generation, and it will be up to them to dictate which path will be taken, segregation, or unity.

If you were to ask Orihima about the night she was born, she would give you a glare and state something like, "How would I know? I was a newborn infant! I wouldn't remember!" and probably storm off. Ask any other clan member that was at her birth and it would go something like this...

On a cool-- Actually, a very cool and windy night in Konohagakure no Sato, Orihima Hyuuga was born. Not only was she born, but she was born into the Main Branch of the clan, something very important. She was a loud baby, screaming at the top of her lungs, squeezing her tiny little fists; This was a good sign, the elders declared. They believed this was some sign that she would strive to be a gifted kunoichi.

During her time as a toddler, she was very... Suspicious, if that's what you want to call it. She would sneak around her Clan's headquarters, listen in on conversations and curiously fidget with other people's things. The little Hyuuga was quiet despite being such a loud baby when being born. It was off-putting for the elders, but they continued to speak of how much they were looking forward to Orihima's debut as a kunoichi and how well she would do. They had not spoken to her about her becoming a kunoichi, believing that the talk could be prolonged until she was at least a year away from being enrolled into the Ninja Academy.

However, little did they know, she already knew. She found it amusing. They did not ask her if she wanted to become a kunoichi, nor did they ask her mother, but it was already decided because it was 'tradition'. Perhaps, that was why she found it amusing? Because she had no choice, because it was tradition. She didn't understand why she found it interesting, but admitted to herself that even if they hadn't asked her or her mother, she would have gladly become a kunoichi.

A year before being enrolled into the Ninja Academy, her father began to train her. It was Taijutsu, something she enjoyed. She usually did very well during her training sessions, though she never made a peep that she had known for months to prepare for this. She continued along as if she hadn't known, impressing everyone with her already fast taijutsu skills...

After the first few months of being in the Ninja Academy, Orihima was doing very well. This was also around the time she was becoming more noticeably... Irritated. No one was quite sure what was wrong and when her parents questioned it, she would either go off in a rant, have no actual reason, or wasn't even irritated to begin with!

Upon receiving her report cards, it was clear her Taijutsu was her strong point, but with socializing her weakest point. However, her clan was still quite satisfied. Although it may have satisfied them, it irritated Orihima that socializing was a weak point. She knew she was irritated and she knew that she often went into rants or answered others with bluntness, but it was a weak point? Really? It wasn't as if she wasn't loyal and would jeopardize a mission just because she was irritated!

In a fit of frustration and determination, she went off and feverishly trained in Taijutsu for many days, furthering her ability as a kunoichi to make up for her apparent 'weakness'. Her taijutsu was considerably better after that day, yet she still continued to occasionally seethe over her 'weak spot'. Everyone assumed she had gotten over it, but that was only because she hadn't rant about it like she usually did.

It was then a few months afterwards, Orihima got herself into an 'incident'. Before her class started, she was training along with a few classmates, when a group of chattering girls began to question her. Already irritated to have her training session interrupted, the girl's questioning her of 'boys' and 'crushes', a secretly sensitive subject to her, was only making it worse. After repeatedly asking the girls to leave her alone, along with stating how annoying and frustrating they were, it quickly turned into a cat fight. This 'incident' is what caused Orihima's usually hidden scar on her left leg, as well as a somewhat bad reputation with majority of the girls from her Academy class.
