| Akiko nodded lightly and took a seat as suggested by the Hokage, sitting rather near him beside of his desk, meeting his gaze for awhile. She nodded lightly at his suggestion whilst looking about his office as he spoke.
It was strange... usually in the past all she had to do was show up in a village, an orphaned child, a merchant's daughter, someone. And each time she'd be allowed to be a ninja with next to no questions, but this time... being an 'ambassador' from Kusa and one of their ninjas asking to become a Konoha ninja...
Ade, what was her reason to come? I want to regain memories I can't remember? Pfffft yeah right. 'Sides, I get this feeling Yamiyo wouldn't let me find out the truth... Sure he agreed I could try but I still have this feeling that he won't let me find out the truth, even if I could. Why? What's he hiding from me?
Nodding, Akiko began to answer him. "Of course Hokage-same," she replied softly, still forming an idea in her head as to why she was here. "The reason as to why I'm interested in becoming a Konoha Nin is simple," she began, again, buying time. "My past lies here in Konoha, not in Kusa. I want to understand who my ancestors were... who I am. Perhaps in doing so I will be able to understand how to use my powers better than before. There is only so much one can learn from those who are not of Uchiha descent," explained Akiko. Not quite the truth... but its basically the same thing only in different words.
She waited patiently for the Hokage's answer as she thought further upon her new life as an Uchiha and what kind of person she'd be pretending to be. Maybe she'd be the quiet type... the quiet type who was seemingly shy and innocent but once you angered them they'd get hella scary. Yeah... maybe that's what her new image would be if they got accepted into Konoha. Ahh well, she'd find out soon enough. Maybe it wouldn't be too hard to get into Konoha after all. It WAS rumored to be one of the most friendliest ninja villages in the world.

| Keiden sat at his desk as Akiko entered, having already moved his work aside. He chuckled slightly, thinking it nice to have actually been forewarned of a visit this time. He watched as the woman let the door shut before speaking. Keiden listened intently as she spoke, genuinely curious as to why he received a visit from an Ambassador from Kusagakure. "Hokage-sama I wish to become a ninja under your command here in the Village Hidden in the Leaves if you will allow it," Akiko said, her tone sounding somewhat formal. "Interesting..." He thought why would Akiko Uchiha, wish to join Konoha, when she held the respectable position of Ambassador in Kusa.
Standing Keiden motioned towards the chair on the other side of his desk and spoke, his tone polite "Greetings Akiko Uchiha, please take a seat?" he returned to his seat as she moved across the room, taking a place in the chair across from his desk. He gazed at her for a moment before speaking,"That's quite an interesting request and perhaps after a test of sorts to prove your skill level, I may be able to oblige it." He paused for a moment, looking at the woman sitting across from him, he was curious about her reasons for wanting to join the village and also slightly suspicious.
"However, if you don't mind me asking. What exactly are your reasons for wanting to join my village? I don't mean to put my nose where it does not belong, but why would you give up the prominent position of Ambassador in Kusagakure, for a lesser position here?" He wasnt against having more ninja in his village, after all in some future time it was more than likely to help the village out greatly. However, he needed to be sure that he could protect his village from any possible threats, this did not just mean treats from missing-nin, but it also meant he needed to protect Konohagakure from possible threats from other villages and it certainly wasnt unheard of to implant a spy in other villages to obtain information about techniques and possible weaknesses. As the political thoughts ran in his mind, trying to prepare for every situation, his face did not show any hint of his thoughts or emotions, it mearly showed a friendly face, not a smile, but a merely a kind look.

Keiden stiffled a small yawn as he considered his reply. "The way I see it. You have two options. Option One: You may be defaulted to the Genin rank, and train from there. Or, Option Two: You spar another Shinobi and depending on your performance, you may be able to obtain a higher rank......It's your choice." he brought his hand up to his chin for a moment as he thought, "Well........no matter what option you choice. It would most likely be best to complete a spar anyway to allow the village to obtain an accurate map of your abilities. "
OOC: Short my bad. | |

| She thought about his words for a few seconds, she would’ve just prefered to be accepted as a Genin transfer… but she supposed he had a good point about asking her to fight to get an idea of her abilities. She herself would’ve just liked to stay a Genin but she figured he’d get her into a fight eventually. She contemplated over that for a minute. Should she show her full prowess or just limit herself to a Genin-Chuunin level?
Ade… this was going to be annoying, that’s for sure, and she didn’t even know who she’d be fighting. Depending on the people she fought she just might have to decline since there were a select few in the world that could/might be able to tell that Yamiyo existed and she really wasn’t an Uchiha. Ahh well, she’d fight in the end so might as well get it over with right? Though she hadn't expected a 'okay' so quickly and so easily...
“Fine by me, Hokage-sama…” she replied softly, still a tad bit tired. “Who, when, and where?” asked Akiko, glancing up at him to study his facial features for awhile as he answered her. Everything about his office hinted at nothing… abnormal about him, and he seemed pretty normal himself, but he couldn’t be if he was the Hokage. There had to be something special about him, right?
[OOC: Yeah short too, sorry.]

| “Fine by me, Hokage-sama…” Akiko replied softly, “Who, when, and where?” Keiden let out a chuckle as he stood up, these newcomers always seemed eager to him. ”Wait here for a moment.” he said as he walked to the door on the left wall of his office. Opening the door he peeked his head in and quietly discussed something with his secretary who was inside. He then stepped out, closing the door and returned to his seat in a few swift movements. ”One momme- he started to speak but was interrupted by a puff of smoke within the room.
”My lord.” the newcomer in the room spoke, his body hidden in a black cloak and his face obscured by an ANBU mask, he turned slightly to the woman in the room and spoke, ”And greetings once more Uchiha Akiko.”
Keiden nodded at the ANBU member an launched quickly into the business at hand, "Thank you for coming on such short notice Shi. I have a rather important matter for you to watch over. He paused for a moment in thought, "I need you to contact Togyou Shihai and tell him to meet you and " Keiden waved his hand towards Akiko and continued "Akiko, here at that Training grounds for a spar. He should . I will then need you to watch the fight and judge her skill and report it back to me. " He yawned slightly and went on turning to face Akiko now, "I would do it myself, but I have several other matters to attend to."
Shi gave a quick nod after listening to the Hokage's order and got to work immediately. Pulling a small brush, a canister of ink and a piece of parchment from somewhere in his cloak, he made several hand-signs before his hands moved like lightning across the parchment. After only a few seconds Shi stopped writing and the characters the parchment rose from the page and took the shape of an ink black falcon with a small mouse hanging by it's tail from the falcon's mouth. The bird then took off out an open window into the village to find the opponent.
Shi then turned to Akiko and have her a curt nod, motioning the woman to follow as he walked out the door. "Good luck." Keiden said to Akiko as he returned to his paperwork as Shi left the room.
