After being promoted so soon to Special Jounin, Shihouin couldn't stand the fact that he hadn't gotten to challenge anyone. To test his mettle against someone else was the fabric of his very bones and the cloth of his muscle. The eyes that he carried in the sockets of his skull were a testament to battle, and so was his character. Shihouin needed to fight on a constant basis, not to prove that he was better but to understand where he could grow more. In his mind, entering the Jounin class as a shinobi was nothing but a gift from the Hokage himself and if the Jounin didn't see that there was a slim chance the Hokage could take it back. The last thing he wanted was to lose the power he had worked so hard to create thus far.

So at random, Shihouin stopped by the administration building to pick up some basic information on some of the Jounin around the village. There were few in Konoha, Kaosu being one of them and a couple other names which had crossed his ears before. Since Kaosu was apparently either occupied with a task or away vacationing, Shihouin skipped over his profile and searched for someone else. His results had led him to another Jounin which he hadn't heard before. She was female, known as Lady Coal, about 30 years old. From her profiled image she was very beautiful, but the last thing on his mind was beauty or physical attractiveness. He wanted to know how she fought, how she ticked and if she was a means of proving to him that he was more than just B Rank, more than just Special Jounin and more than just a ninja.

So with this in mind, Shihouin's foot steps crunched over frozen grass, breaking the thin layers of ice that had surrounded them. It was cold out today, but Shihouin's attire implied that he wasn't affected by it nor did he care, as if he had a living fire inside of him. He walked towards the center of the training filed, in a vast clearing that stretched out for about 200m. There were no trees, just sun and earth and water. The snow had capped and frozen solid a river which ran closer to 20m out from the center, which cut through in a straight line as if it was man made. Since Shihouin had been facing north, the direction in which the river ran through was north to south. The subtle dips and rises in the way the water flowed made it obvious. The entire field wasn't drenched in snow, spotted green, brow, and murky white from the snow, since the sun had cooked away a majority of it. he took in the land deeply, and memorized its beauty.

He waited there, waiting for her to show up from any direction. He was watching with all of his senses so he wouldn't be suprised by her arrival. He'd sent an orange tabby cat with a note wrapped about its neck in a formal invitation to see her talents. It'd be soon now, any moment. He kept his hands dipped in his pockets as he waited for her to arrive, wondering just how long she might make. Hopefully it would only be a few minutes, and hopefully after she arrived, it would only be a few minutes.

The arrival of the fair Lady comes with an increasingly common flock of coal’s new friends. Having bypassed the summons most other ninja utilize, her own self shaped.. self worked well enough for utility purposes. Over the coarse of just a few minutes some twenty or thirty birds fill the sky over the large clearing, then begin landing in the trees along its edge. The birds seem in every way to be completely innocent, but the secret they hold is far from that. Each one was a tiny clone, a creation of the Shadow Clone jutsu, altered with the Transformation Technique. Each one was just a tiny Coal with wings, spying well ahead of her arrival.

Those who know the Lady know well she is a creature of numerous bad habits. Drinking among them, her most famous would be her apparent disregard for time. If timeliness was godliness, Coal was a mortal among mortals. Even after the birds arrive and settle down in the trees, Coal still wanders slowly towards the meeting point. It’s another hour of just standing and waiting for her, before she finally stumbles upon the scene. Off in the distance she clears the tree line and steps out into the broad sunlight of the clearing. In spite of her tardiness, the last 100m to the center of the clearing is still taken with painstakingly slow steps. It was clear and obvious she was making no effort to hurry.

From a distance it is clear the chill has no effect on her. Stoked from a very real fire inside of her, a small shimmering of heat can be seen rising from her body, rippling the frosty air around her. At her feet, which are bare, snow melts at every step, leaving warmed and damp ground in her passing. Making the leap that she was possessed of fire was not a large one, and the fire red robes she wears further accent that feature. Beyond her robes, however, it seemed as though she wore nothing. No weapons no armor, not even a ninja pouch. She has no headband marking her village, nor uniform designations marking her rank. She seemed to be a rather heated, wandering woman.

From a distance Coal need not spend to much time analyzing her new opponent. The birds in the distance spent the full hour watching him and studying his features. None drew close enough to inspect his armor or weapons, but simply knowing his level of patience was enough for her. As she approaches, off in the distance, one of the birds pops, and dissolves in a little cloud of smoke. It wasn’t completely unnoticeable.. but it was close enough. “Hello!” Coal shouts from a distance, hoping to center his attention on her. When she finally arrives at the center of the clearing, she pauses about 5 meters from Shi. “You must be Shi, hmm?”

Off in the distance, Coal is not alone. Hidden in the shadows of a tree, lurking behind the branches of a dense bush, a single clone stood waiting. The shadow clone was coal's copy, and her support. While coming to a fight prepared may seem dishonorable, the act seemed logical enough in her mind. With her friend lurking in the distance, she also kept herself ready, just incase the worst should happen.

Shihouin wasn't idling with hsi time, nor was he just sitting ther staring off into space. He kept his eyes trained on his surroundings, yes, constantly turning around in different directiosn to get a look of the place and making sure that he hadn't slipped up. He was positive that the tabby cat was supposed to tell her in the time frame which would allow her to be there soon. So coming late meant that she was either just idling around and wasting time or up to somethign. Shihouin didn't want to assume the worst, but a shinobi's intution didn't mean to fool him, only to help him prepare for the worst.

So with his skills and his eyes, just his normal cold blue eyes, he knew that the flock of birds that had arrived weren't there before. There were a good number of them, plenty to be exact, so he quickly surveyed the area with his Sharingan. Just a one tomoe, a quick flash of the area around him was all he needed. Once the birds had flew around him, he took out a kunai from his pocket and held it tightly in his hand. He didn't know what was up, but eventually he would find out.

Since he could quickly survey the chakra in the area around him, he faced towards her direction as she came out of the forest barefoot, slow in doing so. He would wait, keepign his body postured in such a manner which allowed him to react physically, but subtley hiding it with what appeared be a rather weak stance. His knees didn't seem to be bent properly nor did his hands seem to show that he could summon them quickly to his aid. After all, he just looked as if he were standing there waiting on her.

He continued to monitor everything he could with blue eyes this time, since he had only used his Sharingan for an small amount of time, no under a few seconds at most. She arrived slowly, looking as if she had walked out of an abstract fashion show, full of eccentric beautiful models. He noted this, this peculiarity with her. Facing her, she had called out to him and he looked towards her as she came closer, about 5m. "Yeah, I'm him."

And with that he planned on giving her no time, and acted right after he spoke. With the same hand that held a kunai he reached in his pants pocket for a quick draw of a couple shuriken, two to be precise and threw them directly at her, on aimed for her chest area and another aimed for her head. He kept himself agile and ready to react, keeping his next move prepared mentally and physically. Depending on her reactions, he would make the correct choice.

Though her reaction begins with a simple movement, it ends with much more. While Shi may have been fast Coal was quick. As the shuriken fly towards her, she remains as calm as ever. Her smile does not even fade as her right hand lifts up. Inside of her, the woman's chakra surges on it's own, filling her open hand and empowering it. With a flick of her wrist she bats the pair of shuriken out of the air, knocking each one off course with a simple backhand. Remarkably, the sharp metal does not even scratch the surface of her skin, though the simple movement is followed by a display of grace. Her right hand sweeps well upwards as her left sweeps down and out to her side. She steps her left foot back and assumes a low defensive stance. She crouches low, her butt only inches from the ground, yet her back stiff and straight.

It was a unique martial style that Coal practiced, one more inclined towards studious monks, than adventurous ninja. While she may seem to be at rest, inside Coal is bubbling with motion. The mass of her chakra churns in rapid circles, swirling inside of her like a living vortex, ready to fill any and all extremities of her body. This raging chaos of energy inside her, though, is visible only to certain people. On her outside, Coal remains passive, and tranquil. She still smiles as she levels her eyes on Shi's face, staring him quite calmly in the eyes. She remains still for only a moment, then rises back up once more. The flowing sytle of her martial arts was saddly slow, and seemed all to easy to read. She takes a step to the side, shifting from low to high with grace and easy, though approaching no closer.

She levels off her defense with both arms held loose infront of her, and a complete focusing of her will. The initial strentching kata was enough to work her chakra into a rage, and now she held it firmly in her grasp. A thick layer of chakra filled both of her hands, awaiting the next attack to be defended. It seemed fairly certain that Coal perhaps specialized in this defensive sort of taijutsu, but who knows if she's just trying to string him along. True to her nature, Coal keeps on rambling even while in the middle of a fight. "Now now, shurkien. The tossed pebbles of a ninja's aresenal, I am afraid you will have to do better than that. Perhaps if you had a sword, or giant axe, you could make this more entertaining for me?" She asks in a coy, teasing voice. Her passive smile never changes, it doesn't grow teasing or proud. Her words were mere diversion, a constant attempt to undermine her opponent's will.

Shihouin made sure to keep his head clear and his body ready, as this would soon prove advantageous for him on the offensive front. She raised her hand to the shuriken and deflected them with her bare hand, a small flicker of light behind each shuriken faded away as if they had struggled and failed from her defensive technique. When he threw the shuriken at her he totally expected a different move, but it didn't mater. Her move most certainly used some sort of strengthening technique, something which allowed her to deflect shuriken and tools without a scratch on her hand. In his mind he concluded that it had been the product of using chakra. She was doing something.

The information in his mind was a like a factory, or better yet a system of labors and tasks which his brain would work with. These tasks and informations were not slow by the least bit, but the operated in such a way where he could analyze things, and with his level of insight he knew there was much more to her than seemed. Once she had deflected the shuriken, Shihouin began to form hand signs quickly, still holding the kunai in his hand. It was a familiar technique to most Katon users, but worked well with his hands since it had come from his clan. About two seconds after she had deflected the tools, he kept and eye on her movements and projected a fireball at her. Since they were still at 5m range and she had not moved, he had the advantage of assault.

Shihouin prepared his next move even so, the giant fireball still leaving his mouth. No movements could be wasted in this match and not a second could he let his mind slip. He had no words.

Being on the defense was always an advantage that Coal savored, because it made the task of striking much easier. The patient ninja need wait for one of a hundred openings in which a chance to land a strike was almost assured. Among those were the rare folly of balance, the follow through of powerful attacks, and the use of jutsu which summoned elements. While breathing forth a great ball of fire, concentration was often forced to be devided, or completely focused, on the task of churning out chakra, and forming the jutsu. Being so distracted left many wide open to assault, defended only by the offensive power of the jutsu they were using this. Knowing this, and knowing her own tolerance for flames, Coal acts in an instant.

"mmmm.. nope.." She says, and shakes her head just a little. The light of the fire was more than enough to please her, it was a such a beautiful thing, but she would not evade the hot element soon to be rushing towards. Instead, as the large ball of fire continued to collect, Coal leapt for the center of it. She had no immunity to fire, but the moderate protection from the flames she did possess would allow her to come out ahead of such a sacrificial move. The flames engulf her amost fully, though strings of fuuinjutsu script sewn into the robes begins to glow brightly. Small burns appear across stretches of blissfully exposed skin, though the burning is far short of what this jutsu would have done to the unprotected.

Amid the flames Coal is granted a direct, frontal avenue of approach to a distracted, and shamefully open Uchiha. Bold as ever, Coal does not waste her chance to attack, and surges all of her strength into an assault. It's like a single wave when she gathers up a huge ball of chakra inside of. It starts compressed against her back, building in size and tension as she approaches, then floods into her fist all at once when she swings. Her forward momentem drives her into Shi, and in turn she tries to drives a powerful, chakra empowered palm to Shi's chest. This was no Hyuuga gentle fist, it wouldn't attack the organs. This was a powerful, physical impact, the likes of which seem unlikely from such a waifish woman. Such was the force of chakra.

You could call it a factory or a train station, a computer, a processor, an algorithm or even just a couple of pipes. No matter what word you used, noun or adjective it was all similar to how Shihouin's brain worked. There were some ninjutsu users, some Jounin at that too who used ninjutsu that applied to situations which normally didn't seem possible. Lady Coal was one of them. Shihouin had spent his time reading up on some of the stuff and continued to spend his time doing more and more reading about it. To his knowledge, there was only four ways she could possibly deal with that attack. Yet even though fire came out of his mouth he prepared his next move.

Hand signs, a total of three of them had been in place for this technique. Shihouin was under the cover of his own attack and thus, out of her range of sight. The moment he had launched the Goukakyuu a smoke bomb went into place and created a cover around his area. She might notice the smoke, but the fire would eat it up quickly. It would go away as quickly as it came. Shihouin's thoughts kept with the constant, chugging motion, this time it was like a locomotive. Sorta, pushing along with the flow of events.

Using his Sharingan? No. It was bold of him to not use it in this fight, and getting used to not using it forced him to use more of the brain he had in his head than to rely on things being so easy to see and analyze.

When Shihouin realized that she was actually coming through the flames he had not expected this at all. Had she some resistance to fire? Could she absorb fire? That's what it looked like. Shihouin noted this information but also was unable to react properly due to not having his Sharingan on. Form his point of view it seemed like a simple punch, so if he could guard properly then he could get the advantage taijutsu wise. Once she got close enough to punch, well within one meters he would plan on using the Sharingan, countering her moves and with the kunai in his hand he would make the final blow.

A chakra enhanced strike was not something typicaly blocked, the power behind such a blow something akin to a large truck. The blow could fracture mountains, fell trees, or uproot large boulders with equal ease, and when flesh felt the impact of the strike, it did not need to relearn the lessons gained. The force from the strike would be well beyond that required to send the ninja soaring backwards a good ways, and knocking the wind clean out of him. Coal was no fool, though, and every last ounce of the immense pressure created was fimly under her control. Though the impact would knock him back, and perhaps bruise him, it would fracture no bones on it's own, nor injure the precious organs that sustained life so perfectly.

That is not to say that landing and rolling along the ground is not painful, but such effects Coal had no control of. She hisses softly as the great energy is released, then inhales a slow and calming breath. By all rights she should have a chance to rest now. If the boy did not get sent flying, she would be more confused than worried, but goodness knows that anything is possible. As the mass of chakra inside her begins to disipate, it doesn't go anywhere. Instead it separates and flows back to the center of her body as she one more assumes a low defensive stance. Inside of her, her chakra builds up quickly once more and is soon a swirling tempest inside of her, ready to be put into attack or defense.

Unlike the Jounin of this village, Shihouin wasted no movements. Not a single movement was wasted when he performed any sort of attack. With this in mind, everything had been done for a reason and he had not yet to forget anything. Everything chugged on, but different this time. It wasn't like a locomotive, it wasn't fixated on a set track or rail, it was more focused sort of like an algorithm. A system dedicating its existence to figuring out a set problem or task or issue. Shihouin's mind worked and figured out all the possible kinks and crannies that were happening in this battle. They were all working together in this mental unison that pushed along, checked, dobule checked, hell triple checked and continued on again. To most people it might seem like a bunch of tasks that took too long, but to Shihouin it wasn't efficiency.

So, Shihouin had been careful about his surroundings the moment the fight started, the moment she showed up and, well since he'd gotten there. When Shihouin launched his Goukakyuu he had been spending his time completing the hand signs and tossing down a smoke bomb. Since the beautiful and sweet Lady Coal had been about 5 meters away, he had ample time to finish the hand signs for the jutsu. They were custom and designed for this very situation. The smoke bomb only made matters worse, because it ensured that Lady Coal could not see around him or anything for that matter. He had been completely blocked from her line of sight. The smoke bomb was designed to cover the short time it took to execute the move.

Shihouin had dipped underground, and she wouldn't notice a thing either, unless she had some type of sensory that allowed her to do so. It didn't matter though. As he dipped underground, the explosive that he'd grabbed from his pocket had been placed directly under the clones feet, about an inch or two under the earth. The Kage Bunshin would take the hit and she'd feel it hold against her for as long as it could. However, it was just a shadow clone so it would disappear. The explosive would blow up during this moment. This meant that Lady Coal would be damaged by the explosive. In his eyes, a kawarimi was impossible at a range of 200 meters. While this was happening, Shihouin would be underground out of the range of his explosive, watching the events above with his one tomoe, planning his next move mentally and physically.

What was she thinking, anyway? The mass of chakra in her body cools off as the cloud of smoke blocks off her vision to Shi. Without the ability to land a hit, it would be mostly pointless to try to unleash any of her more powerful jutsu upon the boy. She sighs just slightly as she enters the smoke, and lands on both feet right where the clone would have been. Her natural instinct would have been to keep moving, to dash out of the smoke and to better survey her surroundings, but it seems the chance to do that wasn’t going to present itself today. Clone or not, as Coal touches down the cleverly places land mine would do its job as needed.

The ensuing explosion fills the area with shockwaves of force and heated fire, trying to sear Coal’s flesh and bruise her body. Unprotected as she was, it was only thanks to her amazing durability that she would remain standing at all. As the smoke clear and the bits of grass and dirt land all around the area, Coal would just be standing as she was, injured, but seeming more confused than hurt. “Well goodness, I certainly did not see that coming.” She mutters under her breath. She wiggles the toes of her bare feet, and winces just slightly. She could feel the pulse of pain shoot up her calf, and with just that knew this fight was over.

As such, Coal simply sits down, and pouts some. It certainly wasn’t that she lost, but it would take some effort mending the badly sprained ankle that’d been so close to the explosion. “I give up.. you win.” She says more loudly, not really sure where Shi was, anyway. Still, her injuries were quite minimal. Even though she’d been standing atop an explosion, her rather impressive stamina was still to be accounted for.

[OOC = Due to a request, most of the staff team has viewed the topic and I think we all pretty much agree that Wind's last post doesn't make much sense corresponding with Shihouin's post and the post you made. From what I can interpret, you initially lept in the middle of his fireball and attacked him (Your last post), Shi, in turn, seemed to have enough time to perform his clone as well as earth jutsu (Caused by your almost mid-range distance and your lack of much strength and speed to shorten the distance fast enough) and then from my short understanding, you stop in midair and perform your Stone Skin jutsu, which doesn't make any sense considering that you cant stop in the air. So if you could please edit or at least explain your post in which I as well as the rest of the staff team could recieve a better understanding of your post, it would be much appreciated.]

This is coupled with the fact that you messed up with your application. You were approved and RPing, therefore anything you wished to have added to your application after approval needs to be bought and trained. That is not negotiable given the situation.

Secondly, your post makes no sense. Dictionary.com lists almost all forms of leap as jumping, thus you were in mid air. You stopped on a dime, impossible in mid air without a jutsu or technique prepared prior to the jump.

Based on the first statement I made, you cannot use Cherry Blossom Collision as it wasnt on your app. You messed up, you deal with the consequences.

(So edited. I do hope it is acceptable now. Stone skin is also waiting to be added back to my list, so I removed it as well. I would have used Stone Spear, but as it doesn't offer the same level of protection as the A rank custom jutsu, I won't bother using it, when she most likely would not have used it. If my stamina isn't enough to survive the blast, just let me know and i'll relocate myself to the hospital. Also, I was under the impression the mod would just be added. It's kind of silly to ask me to train jutsu I forgot, it's not like it was my idea to remake my sheet, and it's not like the previous system made for any organization at all. Seriously, I did my best, and missed a few things. Punish me if you want, but it's completely uncalled for to do so.)

Shihouin had not yet finished what he was up to. Little did any of them know, Nasa, Ayame, Sanzen, the Hokage, the two genin he had fought, that he had been up to something. Shihouin was keeping a hidden agenda from the Leaf Village, and with this act, he would more than likely commit himself to a new life. This path that he was deciding to walk down, he wasn't sure that he would ever be able to turn back from it. No, he knew that there was no way to turn from it, once he started on this path he would be down it forever. Things would change, and in his mind they would change for the better, for him and the Leaf Village.

The move set he had in mind was simple and easy to perform. Being underground allowed him to sense what was happening above and having his Sharingan on meant that he could watch chakra movements from above as well. The only one with chakra above him, directly above him was Lady Coal. He could see the steps of his plans forming out in real time and as they came into fruition he acted. Underground he had time to prepare his simple move.

One thing he hated was to be underestimated, but at the same time he didn't know if she had done just that. A part of him felt that he had shown that he was more than B Rank, and even though he had just been promoted to Special Jounin, he still felt that he was easily A Rank. Yet, at the same time he also felt that Lady Coal had been falsely given her rank. Nasa had tried harder than this. Kuroda and Sly combined, who genin who had fought for their first time pretty much had been more difficult than this. So why had she been Jounin in the first place? Shihouin didn't bother with it, questions that would soon not need answers.

The blast would catch Lady Coal within its lethal range, and would send shrapnel everywhere, but more importantly into Lady Coal's body. Not wearing shoes or having proper protection would make matters worse. Not only would she suffer from disorientation from the blast, she would also be bleeding heavily. She couldn't have tanked this blast in the way she was prepared. The moment the blast subsided, Shihouin had prepared his move. She wouldn't notice it, she wouldn't see it coming but it would come. Shihouin would spring forth from the earth the moment the blast ended with his sword extended, and pierce it directly into her body and ending the battle with a fatal blow. In his eyes, there was no way she could escape. She had underestimated Shihouin and would now pay the price, with her life.
