Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] Empty
PostSubject: Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round]   Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] I_icon_minitimeMon Aug 23, 2010 3:07 pm

The crowd in the arena was going quite crazy, eager to see the final battle of the tournament begin at last. The crowd had sat through several days and several rounds, watching the rising stars battle their way to the finals, to secure their spot in the annals of former arena champions. The loud cries of excitment and cheers of joy were at a fevered pitch before the announcer even began to call out the final pair of names for the match. No doubt both competitors who they were next, they were the only two left after all. "Are you ready, Ladies and Gentlemen?!" The announcer chimes as his voice finally returns to the stadium. Whatever he said next was just lost in the rising din of the crowd's exaultant cheering. After the noise settles down some, the announcer continues over the loudspeaker. "The final round has brought up two great matches so far. The young and eager battles have at last given way to the class of champions. The real heavy hitters are going to be taking to the sand for this last round of battle. The rules are simple, folks, just don't lose. Today we have our final two, the last two shinobi to wage battle this season, and one of them will be going home a champion."

"Moving straight to the finals this match comes a familiar face for all you bookworms from the Land of Fire. You all know her, you all love her. I hope you folks don't have any late fees, cause here she comes, Konoha's Head Librarian, Lady Coal!" cries the announcer, and his voice is once more lost to the loud cheers of the crowd. Even from a distance, there were some out there who came just to get a look at Coal, and as she steps out from within the shadey confines of the waiting areas, she certainly does not disappoint. Her bare feet dig into the sand a bit as she grins, drawing a hand up to sheild her eyes away from the sudden bright sun above. The stadium, being quite large, had no ceiling of its own.

The vast majority of the ground was just a soft sand, not trecherous and loose, and certainly no beach, just good firm dry earth. There were patches of grass that grew here and there, but in the wide open expanse of the arena, there was mostly just open space. As Coal crosses across the vast sand, the hand that had been sheilding her eyes lifts up to wave at the crowd. She was certainly not bashful, and even now, surrounded by a thousand people, Coal seems to act like she's just walking to the bar for another refill. She blows a few kisses to the cheering masses as she makes her way to the center of the arena. Off to her left sat the only woods, a small grove of a dozen or so sizable trees. A long and narrow like, one that looked more like a stationary river, stood between the trees and the center of the arena. The sun above was shining quite hard, but after a few moments Coal was adjusted to it. She stretches just slightly as she awaits the arrival of her compeition.

The crowd continues to cheer for sometime, and as Coal sets into stretching, most simply start to gawk. Coal didn't mind, in fact she encouraged it. While she didn't turn her stretching into its own little strip tease, she does come awefully close to exposing far to much of herself. The small red robes that were clinging to her supple frame did as much as they could to cover her, but only the distance between herself and the crowd really spared her modesty at all. Her stretching would be concluded by the time they called on her opponent, the victor of the previous semi-finals.

PostSubject: Re: Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round]   Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] I_icon_minitimeWed Aug 25, 2010 5:33 pm

After his fight in the semi-finals Renjiro was preparing for his final match against Lady Coal. Renjiro didn't know anything about this women as she was given direct access to the final match for some unknown reason. He was sticking to his usual tactics of ending this quickly and easily. He stretched and warmed up inside the waiting area by using hip curls and circular motions of all his joints and muscle groups.

His name was then called. "AND LADIES AND GENTS!!!! WELCOME THE OTHER HALF OF THIS FIGHT!!! THE WINNER OF THE PREVIOUS SEMI-FINAL MATCH. THE ONE AND ONLY CLOUD GUARDIAN OF VONGOLA!!! RENJIRO KYOYA!!!". "So its time ..." He walked out into the light that was the endless desert arena. "HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!" he shouts as he raises a hand to raving crowds applauding the pair. He slowly walks to the centre of the arena facing the proctor and Lady Coal.

He slightly bowing but keeps eye contact on her constantly. He put his hands to his tonfas and drew them simply and gracefully. He stood there waiting for the proctor to start the fight but as he did his thoughts went back to the previous fight and hopefully he would do better and use less chakra.

Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round]   Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] I_icon_minitimeFri Aug 27, 2010 12:31 am

"Lets hear it for the final two competitors folks! Lets get the final match underway. Fighters, Begin!" The proctor calls out excitedly, then vanishes from the arena. Coal can not help but grin, apparently not one to spring right into action. Almost a little lazily she glances to the side at the roaring crowd around them. It wasn't her first tournament by far, but it had been a little while. The loud cries of the crowd easily stoked her inner flame, and she began to grow eager.

Coal sets off towards her opponent with a calm smile, her pale eyes searching him over, apparently fearless herself to make eye contact, and hold it. She approaches at a slow walk with her hands swaying at her sides, completely non-threatening as she does. Indeed, instead of launching an all out, full on assault, Coal strangely chooses words as her first weapon. She cries out in a voice full of joy, but one that did not sound weak. She was simply unafraid, and excited. "This is our finest moment. We are both already champions, the final two of our category to fight. This is the fight all these people have come here to see. They came here to see an epic, honorable, and action filled confrontation. They want to see us fight, and spill each other's blood on this sand."

Coal approaches to well within arms reach, and she does so fearlessly. She was confident in her own defensive abilities, even if she knew little of her opponent. Once she's just a step away from Renjiro, Coal pauses and reaches out with her let hand. She balls up her hand into a loose fist and presents it out in front of. Many fights started by touching gloves, and it was a good sense of sportsmanship to do so. "Lets be sure the two of us give them the fight they came for. Lets not hold back, and see just how much damage we can do, before this is all over.."

Such is her confidence that she stands there with an apparently lowered guard, presenting only a hand in front of her. She wears no armor, she has no weapons and no visible ninja pouch. She seemed to be presenting herself as a completely unarmed combatant.. which should not be surprising. It's well known she's from the Lotus order of monks, and monks do specialize in kicking people's butts. Inwardly she waits for Renji''s reaction, wondering i he'll reach out and touch his fist to hers.

As the announcer started the fight Lady Coal approached him and got far too close. Renjiro was caught off guard by her friendly nature and the calmness and sound of grandeur of her words. She spoke of the pair of them already becoming greats in the ninja world for being here but Renjiro didn't see it that way at all. Renjiro believed the winner was the only one who should be remembered as a great due to his high superiority complex. Lady Coal was now at arms reach and this made Renjiro extremely uncomfortable. As she got that close the flame on his Vongola Cloud Ring burst with its purple flowing flame.

Lady Coal then extended a close fist slowly at Renjiro to knock with but Renjiro just looked directly at her and raised his tonfas in front of his face and chest and said "Well I don't do pleasantries like that". Renjiros tonfas then lit with a flush of purple flames from his Vongola Ring and Renjiro jumped backwards four times. "HEY! First warning ... don't get close to me...".

Renjiro's mind went back to why she extended her fist at him. Was it a trick ... a pleasantry or some sort of gesture? He didn't have a clue but he wasn't that kind of man. A bow and a quick death/defeat was Renjiro's type of pleasantry and that is what he wanted to deliver. He had given Lady Coal an opportunity to re-gather and figure out Renjiro because what he had just done would of given her a lot of person information and his personal fighting type.

Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round]   Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] I_icon_minitimeSat Aug 28, 2010 2:20 pm

She can’t help but smile brighter as he grows more nervous as she approaches. It was common enough, she was clearly not trying to fight, and so most people had second thoughts of attacking her. Yes, the little bit of pacifism had indeed netted her a great deal of information, and she’d be sure to put it to good use. As soon as Renjiro leaps back, Coal simply halts where she’s at, and waits. She lets distance appear between them again, as it seems her little trick wasn’t going to work.

“Aww, it’s okay, you don’t have to run away.” She calls out over to the fleeing warrior. Her smirk remains steady as she speaks with her arms at her sides in what looks to be a rather weak defense. The look on her face says she’s not even in a fight. It wasn’t quite arrogance that gave her the air of lazy indifference she seemed to hold, however it was typically annoying for those who were matched against her. Though she wasn’t truly arrogant, Coal was indeed an odd duck. “I wasn’t going to hurt you just yet. Besides, if you don’t let me get close you’ll never get to hit me with those pretty little tonfa you have there. But fine, if that’s how you want it, you just stay over there.”

Slowly her hands draw up in front of her, her nimble fingers flexing once before setting to work in weaving out a rather rapid string of seals. The jutsu did not seem something so simple, yet her mastery of seals was clearly displayed in the ease she worked through the complicated series of hand signs. She seems unphased when she’s done and instantly reaches out with her left hand. A small poof of smoke later, a medium sized bird appears in her hand.

The bird is a Roadrunner, to those who could spot such a thing, and stands about 6 inches tall. It’s a mottled grey and brown in color, easily resembling the rocky badlands of its homelands. The bird flaps its wings once, and then hops off of Coal’s hand. True to its name it begins to race along the ground, running quite fast by bird standards. It was still just a bird however, so its speed was quite laughable to well trained ninja.

The bird doesn’t run straight for Renjiro, because that’d just be silly. As anyone with a brain would do the bird darts off to the side, working in a slow arch to claim a position on Renji’s flank. The bird stays well out of Renji’s striking range as it moves, And coal simply waits where she was. As the bird runs her arms return to her side and she waits for a moment.

The women just simply stopped and looked at Renjiro as he retreated to a comfortable distance of 10 meters. He listened to Lady Coal as she spoke to him and replied "You never looked close enough to my previous fight then did you". She would then summon a little bird which would run as a reasonable animals pace but it was extremely easy to follow at a Jounin's level. It zoomed around Renjiro and stayed away from Renjiros striking range but this never mattered because Renjiros eyes were always fixated at the women. Still fixated on her and his eyes never leaving her direction he said "Flanking me with a summon of that size and speed" he laughs "its worthless and a waste of chakra".

As soon as he finished speaking his Vongola cloud ring glowed and the flame suddenly and almost instantly burst outwards. At this Renjiro stepped forward and punched forward towards Lady Coal whilst punching at her summon with his other hand with his tonfas still in his hands. "YAHHH!" he shouted as an S rank huge burst of purple flames rushed at Lady Coal. At the same time an exact copy of it but an A ranked version of it rushed towards her summon. Both of the massive bursts of flames were going at an extreme fast pace for both of them and there was a very slim chance of either of them handling them.

Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round]   Coal vs Renji [Tournament Final Round] I_icon_minitimeMon Aug 30, 2010 3:46 am

The moment the flames appear the bird goes on rather high alert. Nervous and rather twitchy by nature, the bird responds with the most obvious choice available to the avian sort. As the jet of purple flames leave Renjiro's hands, the bird flaps its wings and takes the sky. It evades the flames by simply flying skywards, and seeking out the sun. Small and quick as it was, the bird was quite fragile, and had no intent on getting burned. The bird flutters up to about thirty feet of the ground.

Oddly enough, Coal is no slouch when it comes to evasive maneuvers. The appearance of flames delights her, no matter their color, and she smiles only a little brighter. It seemed quite clear that the ring had at first made the flames, and though their purple color was quite the mystery, the way they felt wasn't something she desired to experience just yet. Coal doesn't really move much, though her posture shifts some. Her weight had been evenly distributed between her feet, but as renji is punching out into the air in front of him, she shifts her facing to the left.

As the flames rush onwards, Coal hesitates a moment. The flames were quite odd, not quite fire, and not quite normal chakra. What they were was a mystery to be determined for now. With only a brief moment to study the oncoming jutsu, she makes her quick analysis, then escapes. She pushes a bit of chakra down towards her feet, and braces herself. The next moment, she is standing near a tree. There'd be no puff of smoke to mask her travel, and well trained eyes would likely see her body blur through the air at speeds only capable with the body flicker technique.

Of course, Coal hadn't used the body flicker technique, though it was something similiar. The chakra leaks away from the seal hidden on the bottom of each of her feet as the effect ends. As is fitting, simple cheetah prints mark the soles of her feet, and the chakra had graced her with the beast's blinding speed. The rapid transit has cleared a distance of 50 meters in half a heart beat, and left coal with a little time to act on her own. As is her custom, Coal does the one thing she knows how to do best; she calls on a little help from a friend.

The single seal needed for the Kage Bunshin jutsu was merely a formality for Coal, something she did out of habit more than need. In an instant she splits her remaining chakra into two copies of herself. "Well, this is gonna be fun.." Says one coal to the other, and the other simply snickers. Both turn to face Renji, and assume the Tiger hand seal. As if to remind him that she is still there, the flying bird cries out with a sharp squak, and begins to fly quite quickly, straight for Renji. Birdy death from the sky, no doubt.
